In the Spirit Realm battlefield, sparks flew in the valley as dozens of mechs engaged in fierce combat. However, at the most intense moment of the battle, two sneaky mechs suddenly darted out one...
Inside the Spirit Realm laboratory, data streams crisscrossed the void like fireflies, a silent galaxy, a hidden forest, its layers layered with hidden mysteries. Complex psychic models floated on the screen, rune formations emitting a faint glow, embellishing the quiet space. 496, who was busy, received a sudden communication request. He paused his work and looked up at the screen that popped up.
"Zero?" 496 raised an eyebrow. Seeing the familiar code name, a smile appeared on his lips. "What tricks has this little guy pulled off again?"
The communication was connected, and Xiang Fan's virtual image appeared. He looked a little nervous, but his face was filled with unconcealed excitement, like a child who had just discovered a treasure but was afraid it would be stolen.
"Master!" Xiang Fan's tone was filled with anxiety. "I found some... very strange things in the psychic network. I'm not sure what they mean, but I think they could be a big problem!"
496 leaned back in his chair, examining his apprentice in the light curtain with interest, his tone teasing, "Strange things? What strange things are they again? Don't worry, send me the data, and I'll see what trouble you've caused."
Xiang Fan immediately sent over the data package he had compiled. The rune chain's logic flow diagram, the records of psychic energy fluctuations, and the anomalies during the test were all loaded into 496's virtual laboratory.
"Quite comprehensive." 496 whistled softly, but a serious look appeared in his eyes. "It seems you put a lot of effort in. Then I'll see what treasures you picked up."
He casually tapped the virtual screen, and the laboratory's formation began to operate. The rune chain on the simulation screen slowly illuminated. Psychic energy flowed along the rune chain like a stream, but at a certain point in the rune chain, the psychic energy suddenly became abnormal, bypassing the normal verification logic. Like a naughty child breaking the rules, it traversed the unclosed chain on its own.
496's eyes narrowed slightly, and his fingers quickly called up the logic code of this chain on the light screen. "Unclosed rune chain... Tsk, this is actually a loophole."
Off-screen, a hint of pride flashed across Xiang Fan's face, but he asked cautiously, "Master, isn't this loophole quite...big?"
"Bigger than you think." 496's voice deepened, a hint of excitement flashing in his eyes. "A system of the Psychic Network's level actually has such an obvious logical flaw. Either the designer was drunk, or..." He paused and gave Xiang Fan a meaningful look. "It was intentional."
"Intentional?" Xiang Fan was stunned for a moment, then raised his eyebrows and asked tentatively, "Isn't that... a backdoor?"
496 didn't respond. Instead, he tapped the screen lightly, loading another piece of data provided by Xiang Fan. He squinted his eyes and saw a series of new options suddenly pop up on the screen. The permission logic within the laboratory began to change.
"Backdoor, it really is a backdoor!" 496 raised the corner of his mouth and smiled meaningfully, "The person who designed the Spirit Realm battlefield really didn't disappoint."
He tentatively clicked on a few control options, and the laboratory's psychic energy concentration parameters were directly adjusted. The rune glow of the entire space immediately became brighter and darker with the changes in psychic energy concentration.
"You can even change environmental parameters?" 496 scoffed, then said jokingly, "Zero, this is the first time you've intrigued me this much. If you were to sell this discovery, you might be able to buy a mountain of spirit stones."
Xiang Fan slapped his thigh excitedly after hearing this: "Master! Do you think it's worth studying carefully?!"
496's smile widened. "Is it worth researching? Haha, of course it is. Such a huge backdoor, hidden in the psychic network, if it were exploited by someone with ulterior motives... Tsk, the entire spiritual battlefield would probably be turned upside down."
He changed the subject, staring at Xiang Fan, and asked with a half-smile, "But I have to ask, how did you find this thing? Did you accidentally trigger it while messing around?"
Xiang Fan blushed and scratched his head awkwardly, "Master, how can you look down on me like that? I only discovered this after careful logical deduction!"
496 said, "Oh," and said in a teasing tone, "Alright, your 'rigorous logic' has really stirred up a hornet's nest. But dealing with it afterwards... hehe, that's a technical job."
Xiang Fan couldn't help but ask, "Master, what should we do next? Should we report it directly?"
496 shook his head, his tone becoming more serious. "Report it? Do you think anyone can explain this kind of backdoor? Putting aside whether or not this thing was intentionally left behind by the designers of the Spirit Realm Battlefield, the mere process of discovering it is enough to cause trouble."
"Then...what should I do?" Xiang Fan was a little panicked.
"What else can we do?" 496's eyes flashed with excitement, and he tapped the screen. "Of course, we should study it thoroughly first! Anyway, the background of the Spirit Realm Battlefield is quite complicated. It depends on whether we can figure it out."
In the Spirit Realm laboratory, data streams flowed like a dreamy galaxy, surrounding 496. His gaze was fixed on the screen, where the rune chains flickered with faint psychic fluctuations. He narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of interest etched in his stern expression.
"Hmm?" 496 tapped the tabletop with his fingertips, his eyes sharp as a knife. "Little one, you've discovered something quite significant this time. The vulnerability is already a headache, and this backdoor..." His tone suddenly dropped, as if he was suppressing some emotion. "This is the key that leads directly to the core of the psychic network."
Xiang Fan on the other side of the screen widened his eyes, nearly jumping out of his chair in excitement. "Master, I knew it! I always say my intuition is right! I actually found something so important!"
