My Mech Has a Bit of a Cultivation Flavor

In the Spirit Realm battlefield, sparks flew in the valley as dozens of mechs engaged in fierce combat. However, at the most intense moment of the battle, two sneaky mechs suddenly darted out one...

Chapter 28 The Dangers of the Black Market

Xiang Fan piloted the Zero Point Mech into the black market. As soon as he entered the area, he was instantly enveloped by a chaotic and dangerous atmosphere. The scene around him was dizzying. Mechs darted through narrow passages, some stopping at hidden trading points for whispered negotiations, others ostentatiously displaying their spoils, and still others erupted in outright clashes, the sounds of metal clashing and psychic energy fluctuating incessantly.

"This place is really lively." Shadow Killer's voice came from the communication channel, his tone full of excitement, "Boss, look, there's a fight over there!"

Xiang Fan looked in the direction the Shadow Killer pointed. At the edge of the trading area, a heavy mech was engaged in a fierce battle with a light mech, psychic light and sparks flying everywhere. The pilots gathered in a circle, their enthusiasm for the battle comparable to a festival carnival.

"You dare to fight in the black market?" Xiang Fan frowned and asked in a low voice.

The Xuanwu guard spoke calmly, with a hint of disapproval: "This is the black market, a place without rules. Whoever can't defeat the other will have to pay the price. I heard that last time a guy stole something, he was chased offline by a heavy mecha and all his equipment was destroyed. Tsk tsk, that was tragic."

Xiang Fan took a look at the sparks flying from the psychic swords of the two mechas and couldn't help swallowing his saliva. He glanced at the prompt on the mecha screen:

Rules: Virtual Spirit Stones are not accepted in the Black Market area; only barter is accepted. Unfair trades can be negotiated, but breaching the contract or robbery is not permitted. Violators will face pursuit or expulsion, and the consequences are at their own risk.

"Should I not have come to this damn place..." He muttered softly, looked at the excited expressions of the Shadow Killer and the Black Tortoise Guard on the communication screen, and sighed, "Alright, I'm here now."

As the mech advanced deeper into the black market, the lights grew dimmer and dimmer, and the surrounding scene grew more cryptic. The faint glow of the psychic lamp barely illuminated the path ahead, casting a shaky shadow on the ground, as if something might leap out at any moment.

"We're here. This is the house." The Xuanwu guard stopped in a hidden corner. In front of him was an inconspicuous little house.

The hut looked rather run-down, with an old, aura-inspired metal sign hanging on the doorway. Inscribed on it in odd handwriting was the message: "Private renovation, items to be bartered, no idle chat."

The Shadow Killer's mecha poked its head out of the door, looked around cautiously, and said with a hint of disgust: "Boss, this place is too shabby, right? Can we really modify anything?"

The Xuanwu guard raised his hand and patted him, his tone revealing his maturity: "You know shit! The more places like this, the more likely they are to have real stuff. There's a saying in this business, only shabby places have the real stuff."

After the three of them disembarked, the Xuanwu guard stepped forward and pushed open the door of the cabin. A whiff of mechanical oil and psychic energy mixed with the air hit Xiang Fan's face. He couldn't help but frown, but his attention was quickly drawn to the scene inside.

Parts piled high, categorized and arranged in different areas. The seemingly chaotic arrangement betrayed a precise logic. Models of mecha parts and designs for spiritual formations covered the walls. Some half-finished mecha shells still emitted a faint glow. Though cramped, the room was filled with a beautiful blend of technology and spiritual energy.

Deep in the room, a figure lurked in the shadows, tools in hand, intently adjusting a spiritual energy array plate. As the three entered, his hand paused slightly, and a deep voice rang out from the shadows, "What are you doing here?"

Before Xiang Fan could speak, Shadow Killer leaped forward, smiling flatteringly, "Boss! We want to buy some goodies. Hey, you must have some here, right?"

The figure slowly raised his head, revealing a stern face, his eyes expressionless. His gaze swept across the Shadow Killer, then settled on the Black Tortoise Guard and Xiang Fan. His tone remained cold, "Bring out your stuff. We only care about the goods here, not the people."

The Shadow Killer instantly put away his smile and shrank his neck in dismay: "Well, this place is really hard."

The Xuanwu guard calmly carried out the supply box and patted Xiang Fan on the shoulder: "Boss, it's up to you from now on. Don't let this guy look down on us."

Xiang Fan curled his lips, glanced at the messy yet precise pile of parts beside him, and thought to himself, "It looks quite real." He said softly, "Okay, let's talk about the price."

The other party raised his eyebrows slightly, a cold smile appearing on the corner of his mouth: "As long as you can provide the goods, the price is negotiable."

Shadow Killer muttered quietly, "This guy is so cold. Could it be that his mecha has been modified so many times that even his emotions have been changed?"

Xiang Fan glanced at him helplessly: "Shut up, don't ruin the atmosphere."

Amidst this chaos, the transaction slowly began.

The Xuanwu guard removed a heavy metal box from the storage space and gently placed it down. The box made a dull "thump." The lid opened, revealing several virtual C-level parts that glowed blue and were neatly arranged inside, emitting spiritual energy fluctuations.

"Are these things enough to exchange for a D-grade spiritual energy array circuit board and three C-grade thruster parts?" The Xuanwu guard's voice was low and cautious, and he was obviously a little wary of the other party's attitude.

The remodeler didn't even look up, still fiddling with his tools, not even glancing at the box. After a few seconds, he coldly spat out two words: "Not enough."

The air froze for a second. Shadow Killer's eyes rolled, and he immediately stepped forward to smooth things over, his face full of flattery. "Boss, this is too disrespectful! How about we add some more? Besides, we're your repeat customers! Can you give us a discount? We may still have the opportunity to cooperate in the future!"

The Transformer finally raised his head, staring coldly at the Shadow Killer, his voice filled with undisguised contempt. "Discount? Do you know the value of these array circuit boards? The fact that I can exchange them for virtual C-grade parts is already a testament to your discerning eye."
