An ordinary middle school youth, one day shockingly learns that his Mom possesses the art of flying and escaping the earth, and his Dad is even a Divine Body, controlling a region of the Immortal R...
"You are an apostate, and you have already forgotten your roots! It is normal for you to teach a devil with six impure senses. He coveted Yuexuan's beauty and fell into the devil's way. He deserves to be devoured by Yu Kai!" Dou Mu Yuanjun sneered, her words full of sarcasm and disdain.
"That's right, I took such good care of you in the past, but I didn't expect that you would betray the religion with Cihang and the others!" The God of Wealth Zhao Gongming also sneered coldly, his eyes full of indifference and resentment, as if every word was a sharp blade, piercing the heart of the Golden Light Bodhisattva.
"If you don't leave now, don't blame us for killing you here today!" Wen Zhong stared at the Golden Light Bodhisattva with disgust, and the weapon in his hand shook slightly, full of murderous intent, as if he was ready to attack at any time.
"You have been an apostate for many years, and I thought you were very powerful! But you are still suppressed by Senior Sister Jin Ling. Our cultivation level is fixed in the List of Gods and cannot increase any more, but we have immortal bodies and are worshipped by the world, no worse than you Buddhists!" Fairy Sui Shi Yun Xiao sneered coldly, with a hint of provocation in her tone.
Golden Light Bodhisattva looked at these former fellow disciples, a mixture of grief and indignation filling her heart. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and bowed respectfully, her voice tinged with helplessness and bitterness: "Take care, brothers and sisters!" She glanced at Fairy Yuexuan, who was hiding behind Chang'e, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes, and then she reluctantly flew out of Guanghan Palace.
"Hahahaha! Retribution, retribution! Hahahaha!" The laughter of the Golden Light Bodhisattva echoed in the air, sounding extremely desolate. It frightened the cranes that were foraging in the fairy pond in the distance, and they flapped their wings and flew away in panic.
Chang'e watched the Golden Light Bodhisattva depart, then stepped forward with Fairy Yuexuan to thank the crowd. However, they merely snorted and left. Their hearts ached. The Jie Sect had once flourished, yet now, its members were all dependent on others. They had long heard of Fairy Yuexuan's deeds in the secret realm; she was definitely not a kind person. Without the Jade Emperor's order, coupled with their disdain for the Golden Light Bodhisattva, they would not have offered their assistance.
When the Golden Light Bodhisattva left Heaven, she was heartbroken. She had a close relationship with her fellow disciples, but the Conferred Gods Tribulation had caused them to part ways. Some perished during the Tribulation and were included in the Conferred Gods; some vanished; and others joined the Buddhist order to protect themselves.
Apostasy weighed heavily on her conscience. For years, she felt remiss to her master and her fellow disciples. This led to a gradual stagnation in her cultivation, making breakthroughs increasingly difficult. Her practice of remaining within the Buddhist sect while maintaining her heart in the Jiejiao sect made her unappreciated within the sect. Other disciples who had left the Jiejiao sect with her began to distance themselves from her, even spreading rumors behind her back that she was being hypocritical.
In the past, Miaofa had argued with other brothers over these rumors and beat them up, prompting other Buddhist Bodhisattvas to come and demand an explanation. At the time, Miaofa was so frightened that he trembled in fear and hid in a corner of the inner hall, not daring to say a word.
The National Master Wang Bodhisattva and the Vimala Bodhisattva even threatened to abolish his cultivation and expel him from Mount Lingshan. That day, the Golden Light Bodhisattva spoke kindly, compensated him with many treasures, and even surrendered his power in Buddhism to save him.
After Golden Light Bodhisattva returned to the inner hall, Miaofa knelt down in front of her and burst into tears: "Master, it's all my fault, it's all my fault!" He kowtowed to Golden Light Bodhisattva while crying.
Golden Light Bodhisattva walked over, slowly helped him up, and gently wiped his tears. "Okay, don't cry. Master knows you best. Master doesn't blame you. Others have their own mouths. No matter how they say, we can't interfere. We should just be ourselves, just like the wild flowers in the mountains, we bloom for ourselves."
"Master!" Miaofa hugged her tightly and cried loudly, as if he wanted to vent all the misfortunes in his heart.
As a child, Miaofa's village was attacked by a demonic beast, and his mother narrowly escaped death by placing him in a water tank. After months of wandering, he was rescued by the Bodhisattva of Golden Light. Recognizing his exceptional spiritual talent, the Bodhisattva accepted him as her disciple. Miaofa always held the Bodhisattva in the highest esteem, and could not tolerate any negative remarks about her.
Thinking back on the past, Golden Light Bodhisattva couldn't help but burst into tears. Now, her only disciple had been killed, and she felt extremely lost.
Unknowingly, the Bodhisattva of Golden Light arrived at Mount Buzhou. Ever since Gong Gong crashed into the mountain, the spiritual veins there had been lost, and rare spiritual creatures could no longer be produced.
She stood atop Mount Buzhou, a biting cold wind howling past, rustling her clothes and stirring her jet-black hair. She gazed down at the vast expanse of the earth, her heart filled with confusion and pain. She couldn't help but ask herself, "What is the purpose of cultivation? Why can't I even protect my own disciples? Miaofa is so kind, why did he have to suffer this?"
The Golden Light Bodhisattva closed his eyes and let the cold wind rage, as if this could blow away the sorrow in his heart. However, the pain of losing his disciple followed him like a shadow, and he could never get rid of it.
"Master, I'm sorry for being unfilial and causing you so much suffering." Miaofa's voice seemed to echo in her ears, and that innocent smile was still clear. Tears fell again at Jinguang Bodhisattva. She slowly opened her eyes and gazed at the vast land in the distance, silently vowing to avenge Miaofa.
She descended from Mount Buzhou, the flames of revenge burning in her heart. However, when she learned that the Dragon and Phoenix Ancestors—two powerful beings—had been slain by a terrifying killing array on Neptune, her steps came to a sudden halt. She knew that their strength was no less than her own. To rush forward at this moment would be like a moth to a flame, seeking death.
She raised her head, her gaze piercing the clouds, gazing at the distant horizon. Soon, she learned of Zhang Qiming's subsequent plans. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her inner urges, and returned to Buzhou Mountain, deciding to heal her injuries first.
A chilling wind stings the peak of Mount Buzhou, yet the heart of the Golden Light Bodhisattva remains unwavering. She sits cross-legged, draws out the Bodhi beads for overcoming adversity, and begins to practice. These beads were gifted to her by Duobao Daoren, the former senior brother of the Jiejiao sect, after he ascended to the Western Tathagata Buddhahood. Made from 108 Bodhi seeds, they embody the righteous spirit of Buddhism. Duobao Daoren hopes they will help her subdue her inner demons and break free from the shackles of the past.
Golden Buddha light slowly overflowed from her body, enveloping her completely. Within the Buddha's light, her mind gradually immersed itself, and began to repair the damaged meridians in her heavenly palace. Each bodhi seed emanated a soft light, as if chanting the Buddha's name, dispelling her distracting thoughts and anger.
Time slipped away quietly as she cultivated. It wasn't until she realized Yu Kai was about to arrive that she slowly stood up and put away her bodhi beads. A flicker of determination flashed in her eyes, and she turned and left Buzhou Mountain.
She first went to Yuexing and discovered that "Yu Kai" was actually Shen Xingze in disguise. Although she felt resentment, she did not take action. After learning that Yu Kai had appeared in the East China Sea, she immediately chased him. She was startled when her Buddha palm was deflected by Yu Kai, but she quickly reacted and immediately threw the Buddhist beads at Yu Kai.
"Oh my god! This Golden Light Bodhisattva is so powerful!" Yu Kai was shocked when he noticed the violent fluctuations behind him. The deduction results told him that he couldn't take it head-on, otherwise he would be either dead or injured, a very bad omen.
