In the darkest era, he ignited the prairie fire. Facing the strongest enemies, he fought alone. Some call him a warlord of chaotic times, while others see him as a benevolent minister who saves the...
The man in black robe went out, and Chen Jing guessed that he would not be able to come back in a short time. According to the thinking of the cultists, no matter how serious the sacrifice to God is, it cannot be too serious. They are not like the righteous believers like Ilyari who enjoy eating.
So, although cult members are crazy, their faith has a long shelf life and is strong. But they are just not smart, they keep making trouble, and then they are gone.
If you're unlucky, you might even get into trouble with the evil god.
An elderly Deep One who thought she was graceful approached, only to be forced back by Irelia's gaze. "Their scent is so strong, it's killing my nose."
Chen Jing smirked: "Haha, this whole town smells like this, why don't you breathe?"

Chapter 1: Things Under the Lamp
What kind of person could be considered unlucky? Chen Yingran once considered himself lucky. He went to school and came home, day after day, without any setbacks or excitement. He had long since become a social animal. Yes, that was generally the case, a dull, ordinary routine.
He lived in this second-rate school. Outside the capital of this island country, there was already a seaside. The school did have a beach and they had organized barbecues on the beach. Chen Yingran was just an ordinary high school student in an ordinary class.
Until last night, when he received a text message. It was a very simple message, with the sender line filled with garbled characters. He originally thought it was just a joke, but the letter still made him feel uneasy. The words on it kept lingering in his mind: "Do you still remember Akler?"
Chen Yingran knew Akle, or rather, there was no one on this planet who didn't know Akle. It was the place where the "Akle Massacre", a major event that spread throughout the world two years ago, took place. A full 70,000 people died in an attack with poison gas, bombs, and even small nuclear bombs. No one knew what happened at that time.
Two years ago, Chen Yingran was still struggling for the high school entrance exam and had no direct contact with Akler. Or was this a warning that they were going to repeat that scene in this country?
So Chen Yingran was restless and always planning to escape with his friends. For him, persuading his stubborn father and his foreign wife to leave the country was more difficult than fighting terrorists for three hundred rounds.
"Hey, you don't look well. Did you not sleep well last night? I say that games are harmful to your health and you should protect your liver." Generally speaking, this is the protagonist's gay friend, but in fact, it is a small group and has nothing to do with Chen Yingran. They came back to tease him today, and nine out of ten times they have some purpose.
There were many people in the class, all gathered in groups, but Chen Yingran was alone. The reason was simple: he was originally from another country, and after immigrating to this island nation, it was normal for him to feel isolated.
Chen Yingran's appearance was out of tune with his surroundings. He had black hair, light brown irises, slightly yellowish skin, and was 1.8 meters tall, which made him different from his classmates.
"Class is starting!" Someone shouted, and the noisy classroom became quiet. They then discovered that the teacher was standing on the podium with a sullen face, shaking the bamboo whip in his left hand.
"Knock, knock, knock." Suddenly, a hand wearing white gloves knocked on the door. The teacher looked over and saw three people in police uniforms.
The leading woman was tall and slender, with a blank expression on her face behind sunglasses. She asked, "Excuse me, is Chen Yingran here?"
Chen Yingran's pupils shrank.
The teacher looked at the foreign child and said with disgust: "The police officer is calling you, get out."
The classmates began to whisper, and Chen Yingran just felt cold. He didn't know why he felt that way, but he felt that something must have happened.
He slowly walked out of the classroom, and behind him he heard the sound of the teacher closing the door.
The badge on the female police officer's shoulder indicates that she is from the Central Security Bureau rather than a community police officer.
"I'm from the Akle Federation. Two years ago, I joined the World Security Organization to investigate the Akle incident. Last night, the information you received came from a group we've been tracking. I suspect you have a direct connection to the Akle massacre. Please come with us."
"Come on, I was just a kid back then! There's no way that kind of thing could possibly have anything to do with me."
The woman nodded. "That's right. What you say makes sense, but I don't want to miss any possible clues."
"Okay, I'll go with you." Chen Yingran calmed down. He really had nothing to do with this matter, so it would be useless to investigate. It was impossible for him to be killed for this piece of information, right?
"Puff!" The head of a gloomy-looking policeman suddenly exploded, and a liquid of unknown origin splashed all over Chen Yingran's face.
"Sniper!" she yelled, pinning another companion to the ground. This action saved his life, sending bricks and rocks flying to his right, creating a hole in a small section of the wall.
"Anti-material sniper rifle, come here quickly!" The police officer didn't care what Chen Yingran was thinking and pulled him behind the flower bed.
"What do you know? Tell me!"
"I really don't know anything!" How could Chen Yingran know what was going on? His face was covered with all kinds of colors and he was huddled behind the flower bed.
"Boy, can I ask you a favor?" She took out a revolver.
Chen Yingran nodded, but his shrinking action looked very funny.
The female police officer took out her wallet and handed it to Chen Yingran: "There is still 600 yuan in it. It is my last salary. If you survive, go have a good meal and then stick the photo in it on my grave. Thank you."
