This is just a farming story starting from scratch, a pure world without pollution. When Chen Yang entered this world, he wasn't even given a pair of small underwear!
He went from making ...
As Chen Yang and his group boarded the helicopter, another group flew over from the other side of the Pacific Ocean and landed on their target island half an hour earlier than Chen Yang and his group.
This is just an unnamed island in the Pacific Ocean, and there are many such islands in the vast Pacific Ocean.
This island is rich in resources, with sufficient water, plants, and animals to fully meet the requirements for survival. After all, we're all amateurs; we can't expect to start in hell mode right away.
This group of people from the United States were incredibly excited when they landed.
This is the first time anyone has undertaken a wilderness survival challenge, so there's no reason they shouldn't be excited. Being separated from human society doesn't evoke fear, as that's only temporary. Instead, they're filled with the desire to demonstrate their abilities and prove themselves.
"Hey everyone, does anyone have any wilderness survival experience?" asked a typical blue-eyed, blond-haired, handsome white man among the group.
“If family camping counts, then I have a lot of experience.”
"Dude, if that's the case, then I'm already Bear Grylls."
Everyone was laughing exaggeratedly, as if they could freely express their emotions on this island.
The man who spoke first smiled and said, "I've hiked a few times before, so I don't have much experience, but I've met some professional outdoor enthusiasts who have given me some guidance. If you don't mind, would you like to hear some of my opinions? Of course, I'm definitely not giving you any orders. Let me introduce myself, Grena. It's nice to meet you all."
“Hey buddy, don’t be so polite. If you have experience, you can really lead us to victory over those Asians. So what if you’re the boss? We Americans are united,” a black man said.
"I agree."
"No objection, but I'd like to see your abilities, Grena."
"That's right. If you want to be the boss, then you have to see if you have the ability."
The group of people said, but this "group of people" was almost entirely composed of men. The few ladies didn't mind being directed by Grena, after all, he had a pair of charming blue eyes and a handsome face.
"Just now in the helicopter, although the pilot deliberately flew low, I noticed that the island is higher in the east and lower in the west. Also, not far from where we are about to land, there is a valley with relatively dense vegetation. I think we can go there to find a water source first, which is better than wandering aimlessly."
Everyone agreed to Grena's suggestion, and they all headed in the direction Grena indicated. Since none of them had any experience, they figured they might as well do as Grena suggested.
As they began their operation, Chen Yang and his group also landed on the island.
The biggest difference between Chen Yang's team and the other team is that they know each other well. While some members of the American team also know each other, not everyone in the team knows each other well.
After landing, Chen Yang and his group discussed things briefly for a little over a minute before heading off in one direction.
"Aren't you going to discuss this further?" Li Lei couldn't help but ask.
"What's there to discuss? Didn't we see it from the plane? There's a beach over there, let's go set up camp first," Ye Wu said curiously.
Now not only Li Lei, but even Doug was puzzled.
"Aren't you going to look for a water source first?"
"Let's look for it. We can keep an eye out along the way. If we don't find it, we can divide the work when we get to the campsite. Okay, let's hurry up and go. Oh, and remember to take lots of pictures of me. I think I have the potential to be your spokesperson."
Li Lei and Doug were both curious; how come this group of people seemed like veterans, and their opinions were so unified?
They knew that everyone in this group knew each other, but what good was knowing each other? Sometimes, acquaintances can be more troublesome. Everyone knows each other well and is aware of each other's personality flaws. In such situations, it is easy for internal conflicts to arise.
“I’m telling you, you didn’t do anything wrong, did you?” Doug said to Li Lei.
Li Lei smiled wryly and said, "What, do you think we're a secret service organization, finding a group of professional outdoor teams whose backgrounds you can't even trace in a short time? Besides, there's no need to do that."
Doug carefully considered it and found it very reasonable. He couldn't believe that these people were special forces soldiers, but how come he couldn't find any evidence that they were from a professional outdoor team?
Doug had seen Chen Yang and his team's resumes: innkeeper, shepherd on the grasslands, game designer, beauty blogger, and a motley crew of professions. If these were all perfectly fabricated resumes, they were practically a secret service organization.
Chen Yang and his group found the small beach they had seen from the plane and decided to set up a temporary camp there. They were unsure whether the high tide would flood the area, so they decided to set up a simple camp for the night, just enough to get some sleep.
The task of setting up camp and starting a fire was handled by Chen Yang, along with Jiang Yining, Li Ye, and Li Sen. Li Su'er, Ye Wu, and Dong Yujue each took one person to find water and food. Their hunting group was experienced in searching for water and food, as they frequently ventured into the outskirts of the Night Forest or other areas.
Moreover, once inside the micro-world, everyone has a habit of researching how to survive in the wild and then experimenting in the micro-world. By combining theory and experiment, they gain real-world experience.
Doug stayed on the beach to film, while Li Lei went out with Dong Yujue's group. On the boat, he learned that Dong Yujue was actually a fitness instructor, and a single one at that. How could he, who was very interested in fitness, let go of such an opportunity? Moreover, Xu Meng, another girl, was also with Dong Yujue.
Chen Yang went to collect sturdy tree branches, and saplings would be even better. Li Ye went to find palm leaves to make a roof, and Jiang Yining went to collect tree bark to make rope. Although it wasn't as good as braided rope, it wasn't necessary to build a long-term dwelling, so it didn't need to be that sturdy.
Because the group was moving around nearby, Doug could clearly see their activities.
He could tell that these people weren't very familiar with the tropical climate, because Jiang Yining had to cut a lot of bark before finding a suitable spot. Li Ye seemed a bit clumsy when collecting palm leaves.
But once the group got used to it, their efficiency immediately improved.
Working together, Chen Yang and Li Sen quickly built a framework using branches and thin tree trunks. It was just a shed big enough for everyone to lie down in; the structure was not complicated, but it was still quite sturdy.
This shed is only slightly larger than the one they built in the Microverse before. It just needs to be secured with bark, and then reinforced later.
The skeleton was completed in just over three hours, which was quite fast. Then, Chen Yang started a fire, Li Sen went to help collect palm leaves, and Jiang Yining was still battling the tree bark.
Just then, Ye Wu returned.
"Chen Yang, I found a small pond. It's fresh water, but not very clean. I brought some back with me. Take a look."
When they arrived on the island, each of them carried three bottles of mineral water. Ye Wu used his empty water bottle to fill some bottles and brought them back.
"It seems a bit too dirty. If we have no other choice, let's use this water then," Chen Yang said after glancing at it.
Doug suddenly noticed that there was a small fire burning behind Chen Yang.
"What? What's going on? When did you start the fire?" Doug exclaimed. "Did you bring a lighter? How did you do it so fast?"
"I don't have a lighter, but if you want to see it, I can demonstrate it for you again. Starting a fire by friction is one of my hobbies; otherwise, why do you think I would have come here?"
Chen Yang picked up the fire-starting stick he had just used and, under Doug's watchful gaze, managed to get a fire going in five minutes. Doug's eyes widened in disbelief; he felt it was necessary for the company to investigate these individuals' backgrounds further.
