My Otherworld APP

This is just a farming story starting from scratch, a pure world without pollution. When Chen Yang entered this world, he wasn't even given a pair of small underwear!

He went from making ...

Chapter 324 Rescuing People on a Rainy Night

The prelude to a typhoon is fallen leaves and plastic bags. Leaves that were already teetering on the ground are easily torn from the branches by the typhoon, leaving them to dance wildly in the wind. And the plastic bags scattered everywhere are even more spineless; they just follow the wind.

Before the typhoon hit, Chen Yang and his team checked all the doors and windows to make sure there was no way for water to leak in.

The construction of the Microworld Inn was quite conscientious, with almost no issues like leaks or electrical problems. However, even the best construction can't guarantee complete leak-proofness during typhoons; rainwater brought by strong winds can always find a way to seep in through the cracks.

Nobody's planning to sleep tonight. It's a Category 12 typhoon. It's not that big, but it's not that big either. Especially in the central area, there are always a few accidents, such as houses collapsing, objects falling from heights, and trees hitting pedestrians and vehicles.

Even billboards can fly up and crush people to death, so they shouldn't be underestimated.

This typhoon changed course suddenly, catching the entire city of Hangzhou off guard. Many farmers were already crying at home, never expecting that the typhoon would make landfall near Hangzhou.

Around 10 p.m., the wind had become quite strong; the trees along the roadside were bent over, and the faces of some pedestrians hurrying along the street were distorted by the wind. Their hair was also dancing wildly in the wind.

There was a young girl who, for some reason, went out at this hour, and even opened an umbrella. Not only did the umbrella flip over, but she was also pulled three meters away by it.

By 10:30, the wind and rain had intensified, the howling wind was terrifying, and the windows were rattling loudly.

"Woof woof!"

The European emperor roared at the typhoon, as if he thought the thing roaring in the wind was a monster.

The inn was indeed well-built. Although it was windy and rainy outside, it was very quiet inside. There were very few leaks, only a few window cracks where water seeped in, which could be easily plugged with a rag. There was only one leak in the roof, which was caught in a bucket and dripped slowly.

"You guys go to sleep first, I'll keep watch for now, and I'll take over later," Guo Zifeng said to Chen Yang and the other girls.

They were already used to taking shifts to keep watch in the micro-world, so it wasn't a big deal for them.

Chen Yang fell asleep right there on the sofa in the living room, sleeping peacefully and comfortably. This was one of the few times he could sleep so soundly without entering the micro-world.

It's nice to have a good night's sleep now and then. Although typhoons are scary, the indoor temperature is actually quite comfortable. Once you get rid of the anxiety that typhoons bring, they are actually a good time to sleep.

Chen Yang experiences typhoons every year, so he doesn't find them particularly frightening. He often likes to sleep during typhoons, showing a carefree attitude.

However, his sleep was quickly interrupted. Chen Yang was woken up by Jiang Yining. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Jiang Yining's tearful eyes and immediately became awake.

"What's wrong?" he asked quickly.

Jiang Yining choked up and was speechless for a moment, clearly due to her panic.

“Something happened to Yun Shi,” Li Su’er said on his behalf.

"Don't panic, what's going on?" Chen Yang asked. He saw Wang Bing making a phone call not far away, his voice faintly audible, as if he was asking about the situation.

"Foreman Tian called to say their greenhouse was blown down and Yunshi seems to have had an accident, but the signal is down again. Old Wang called back and is asking about the situation." Li Su'er.

Chen Yang quickly put on his clothes. "Su'er, give me the raincoat," he said to Li Su'er.

“I’m going too. Foreman Tian was injured by falling iron scaffolding. It’s hard to assess his condition yet. He’s unconscious. They called for an ambulance, but the hospital is overwhelmed and there’s no convenient air supply. It might take two or three hours for the ambulance to arrive.”

Wang Bing also put on a raincoat and said.

“I’ll go too, I want to go and see,” Jiang Yining said quickly.

Chen Yang shook his head: "Yining, you can't help even if you go. Concern will only make you confused. Brother Wang and I will go. I will bring back the Yun-style security system."

After Chen Yang finished speaking, he gave Li Su'er a wink. Li Su'er understood and said to Jiang Yining, "Yining, the alien Yang is very powerful. We can't help you. Just wait here patiently."

Jiang Yining hesitated for a moment, then nodded and said to Chen Yang, "You guys give me a message later, make sure Yunshi is safe."

Chen Yang smiled and said, "With your words, Yun Shi will definitely jump for joy."

Jiang Yining forced a smile, clearly still very worried.

Chen Yang and Wang Bing put on raincoats, then left the inn and drove to the construction site of the new inn.

What should have been a short drive turned into a difficult journey. Even in the most challenging conditions, they dared not drive fast. In this atmosphere, there was no way to drive fast at all. They could only rely on the headlights to barely make their way forward, as many of the streetlights were broken.

When they arrived at the construction site, they saw the collapsed workers' shed.

Nearly half of the workers' shed collapsed, and the beams and pillars were broken.

"You've arrived. Yun's condition is very bad, and the ambulance can't get here right now."

Foreman Tian shouted at them in the rain.

Chen Yang got out of the car and ran wildly toward the workers' shed. The wind seemed to have no effect on him; he was like a flash of lightning in the wind and rain.

Foreman Tian was stunned for a moment, thinking he was seeing things. However, with the wind and rain and no lights, he couldn't see anything clearly. He just wondered how Chen Yang could be so fast.

He and Wang Bing also hurriedly ran towards the work shed.

When Chen Yang saw Yun Shi, Yun Shi was still unconscious.

"He was hit on the back of the head, and then his leg was pinned down by a pole. He just woke up briefly, but then passed out again," a foreman said hurriedly when he saw Chen Yang approaching.

Chen Yang nodded, then picked up Yun Shi to check on his physical condition.

However, Chen Yang is not a doctor and cannot accurately assess the injury.

"Chen Yang, should we take Yun Shi to the hospital or the nearest clinic?" Wang Bing asked as he walked over.

"No," Foreman Tian shook his head: "I received news that the road leading to the nearest hospital has collapsed and is impassable. We'll have to detour to another hospital, and in this weather, it will take at least an hour and a half."

Wang Bing was at a loss. At this moment, every second of delay would increase the danger to Yun Shi.

“Send Yunshi onto the bus,” Chen Yang suddenly said.

"But..." Foreman Tian was about to say something when Wang Bing interrupted him because he saw Chen Yang winking at him.

"Let's get on the bus like we're moving clouds," Wang Bing said.

The foremen didn't say anything more and quickly loaded the cloud-shaped item onto the truck. They watched Chen Yang drive away and silently prayed.

On the bus, Wang Bing guessed what Chen Yang was thinking.

"Are you taking him to the outer realms?"

Chen Yang nodded, "This is the only way for now. If it doesn't work, we'll have to take a detour to the hospital. I just don't know if Yunshi can withstand the bumpy ride." Chen Yang said with some concern.

Then, the car stopped in the next second. What was blocking their way was a large tree that had been snapped in half by the wind.
