This is just a farming story starting from scratch, a pure world without pollution. When Chen Yang entered this world, he wasn't even given a pair of small underwear!
He went from making ...
"Hello everyone, I'm Jack Falx. This wilderness challenge is over. I met a traveler, which means I've finally come into contact with the civilized world."
A young foreigner with a receding hairline spoke a lot in English to the camera, then turned off the camera and shook hands with Chen Yang: "Hello, my name is Jack, and I'm a wilderness survival expert. Are you camping nearby? I see you don't have much luggage, and your clothes are clean, so you don't look lost."
Chen Yang nodded and said, "Yes, I'm accompanying my child on a camping trip."
"Great! Could you take me there? I'll contact my friend, and he'll come pick me up."
“Okay, but let me catch two fish to take back first,” Chen Yang said, pointing to the fish in the river.
"Oh yes, I need to dismantle the traps before I leave. Let's catch a few more before that."
Jack laughed heartily, and then he and Chen Yang spent four or five days catching big fish.
Chen Yang found some moss by the river and wrapped the fish in it.
“Friend, you’re very experienced,” Jack said in surprise.
"Fortunately, I learned it all from watching videos by wilderness survival experts like you."
"Then you definitely haven't seen mine. I've only released one video. I know Bear Grylls is very famous where you are, and he's my target."
"But you're older than Bell, uncle."
“Yang, please don’t be so discouraging. I’m confident that my skills and experience are no less than Bell’s,” Jack said.
The two walked and talked at a fairly fast pace.
"Yang, do you have any experience in wilderness survival? You seem very familiar with the wilderness, or is this how all Chinese people are?"
Jack couldn't help but ask.
Chen Yang's progress was no slower than his, and even faster, which surprised Jack and was a bit of a blow.
Anyone could come along and be just as good as him, this self-proclaimed survival expert, so what's the point of him making this show?
"I study martial arts. Our Chinese martial arts emphasize the unity of man and nature, so I often go to the wild."
Chen Yang simply used Crowley's excuse about misunderstanding him to appease Jack.
"Martial arts?"
Jack immediately became interested: "You're not talking about the legendary Chinese Kung Fu, are you? Can you teach me?"
"We Chinese have a rule: we don't share this with outsiders," Chen Yang said.
“That’s a real shame,” Jack said. However, he had traveled to many places and encountered many different ethnic groups and cultures, and he knew that each ethnic group had its own customs, which he respected.
When Chen Yang was halfway there, he suddenly stopped and picked a kind of leaf.
"Yang, excuse me, is this leaf edible? I don't remember it having any medicinal properties," Jack said.
"You can't eat it, but after crushing it, you can apply the juice to your body to repel insects."
"I see, that's amazing! I didn't know that. It seems I still have a lot to learn," Jack exclaimed sincerely.
"I heard it from a friend who practices traditional Chinese medicine. To be honest, although my friend practices traditional Chinese medicine, he is not a Chinese."
"Chinese culture is indeed profound and extensive. I've been to China twice, but unfortunately, I haven't really experienced the real Chinese culture. Can I look you up next time I go to China, Yang? Didn't you say you were coming to the hotel?"
"It's an inn, not a hotel... Never mind, just think of it as a hotel, a very high-class hotel."
Chen Yang didn't know how to explain the concept of an inn to Jack, so he could only give up trying to explain.
Because of Jack's arrival, Chen Yang's speed slowed down considerably, and he could only maintain a speed slightly faster than a normal person.
However, being slow had its advantages; along the way, they discovered some usable resources, including an edible plant that Chen Yang didn't recognize. It was Jack.
"Chen, look, it's a bee. There must be a beehive around. Let's go get some honey," Jack said, pointing to a bee flying by.
Chen Yang glanced at his watch; there was still enough time.
"OK."
“Then I’ll start the fire,” Jack said excitedly.
“Let me do it. You didn’t bring any fire-starting equipment with you this time, did you? I have a lot of experience starting fires,” Chen Yang said.
Jack looked at Chen Yang with some suspicion, but after considering Chen Yang's extensive knowledge of the wilderness, he chose to believe him.
"Then I'll go find some combustibles that easily produce smoke and the location of beehives."
As Jack spoke, he went out to find some damp grass and leaves. He was quick and finished in about seven or eight minutes, and he also found the location of the beehive.
"I wonder if Yang has found any kindling. If he can't get the fire going, I'll lend a hand," Jack muttered. He still didn't quite believe that Chen Yang could start a fire.
However, he suddenly smelled a hint of smoke, which surprised him, and he quickened his pace back to where they had found the bees.
Chen Yang was sitting next to a small fire, adding firewood to it.
"Yang, did you bring a lighter or fire-starting equipment?" Jack asked in surprise.
"No, I made fire by rubbing sticks together," Chen Yang said, pointing to a fire drill and a piece of wood with a hole drilled in it.
Jack stared at the still-smoking wood and the embers on it, speechless. These were indeed the marks left by fire-making by friction.
Next, they smoked the beehive and then extracted the honey, a process that went incredibly smoothly.
“Yang, this is definitely not the first time you’ve done something like this,” Jack said to Chen Yang.
Chen Yang chuckled but didn't answer. However, Jack knew that Chen Yang must have stolen honey using the same method before, and more than once.
Otherwise, how could he be so skilled?
He was deeply discouraged. How could someone he just bumped into be more capable than him, and even starting a fire was something he couldn't do at that speed?
Chen Yang put the honey in the water bottle he carried with him; it was given to them by the superhumans.
The half-full jar of crystallized honey looked incredibly tempting. When Chen Yang and Jack put it in, they got their hands all over it. They licked it for a while, then looked at each other and smiled.
"Yang, you are the most interesting Chinese person I have ever met."
"Come to China more often in the future, there will be many more interesting Chinese people there," Chen Yang said.
"Absolutely, I plan to do two more episodes of Huaxia's program."
"This is good; it can help advertise for China," Chen Yang said with a smile.
As they talked, they had already returned to the camp.
Once Jack arrived at the camp, he immediately used a satellite phone to report his location to his companions, who expected someone to come and pick him up that evening.
The others were also incredibly surprised that Chen Yang had brought back a wilderness survival expert. Seeing the fish and honey he had brought back only fueled their envy.
However, they all attributed the credit to Jack and did not think it was Chen Yang's doing.
Chen Yang also gave two fish to the others, which was enough to make fish soup for the children.
He, on the other hand, was quite comfortable. A table was laden with grilled fish, fish soup, shrimp, wild berries, dried meat, and stir-fries, all served in pottery he had made himself. He ate his meal sitting cross-legged under the shade of a pergola. And there was even honey!
"You guys are really too..."
Even Jack, who was there to freeload, didn't know what to say.
