She lifted a corner of the blanket and lay down. She'd met her exercise goal for the day! Time for a good night's sleep.

Shen Yizhou was still outside cleaning up the mess on the ground; he'd probably have to take another shower later.

He Tiantian turned on the air conditioner, and the cool air instantly flooded the room, calming her previously agitated heart.

She stepped out of the room, opened the refrigerator, took out a bottle of coconut water to drink, and watched Shen Yizhou bustling around.

Suddenly I felt like I should help him out.

"Zhouzhou, is there anything I can help you with?"

Shen Yizhou stopped in surprise. "You said you'd help me? Are you out of your mind?"

Okay, good intentions are wasted, like the farmer and the snake, or a dog biting Lü Dongbin for not recognizing a kind heart.

"It's okay, I'll sit down and watch TV for a bit before going in."

Shen Yizhou ignored her and threw all the dirty clothes into the washing machine.

He Tiantian turned on the TV, which was playing a comedy variety show, making her laugh out loud.

After Shen Yizhou finished tidying everything up, he instantly felt that the house looked much better. He took his pajamas and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

He Tiantian sat alone in the living room, and the sounds of fighting and cursing kept coming from upstairs. She immediately pressed the pause button.

It was the sound of a woman crying and a man beating and cursing.

[Man: So you finally know how to come home? Dressed so nicely at night, who are you trying to seduce?!]

[Woman: No, it was just an old classmates' reunion.]

[Man: Oh? An old classmate? I think it's an old flame!]

[Woman: How could that be, honey? You know I wouldn't do that.]

[Man: Hmph, looking at you like that, I'd definitely know!]

After the man finished speaking, there was the sound of slapping and a woman crying for help.

He Tiantian opened the door, intending to go upstairs to dissuade them, but as soon as she opened the door, she saw a child sitting at the door of the house across the street.

That child wasn't the one she saw that afternoon; it was a little girl!

She had her back to He Tiantian, then suddenly turned around and smiled at her, startling He Tiantian! She immediately closed the door.

He Tiantian slumped onto the sofa. Why was this little girl acting so strangely?

The sounds of shouting and yelling continued to come from upstairs, and there were even sounds of things being smashed on the floor.

Shen Yizhou also heard the sound, and he came out wearing only a set of pajama pants.

He looked up at the ceiling and thought that if things continued like this, the ceiling might be broken through by the people upstairs.

Shen Yizhou put on his shirt, preparing to go upstairs to discuss stopping the throwing of things on the ground.

He Tiantian immediately grabbed Shen Yizhou, "Don't go out! There's a very strange little girl sitting outside the door of 403!"

However, Shen Yizhou was one step ahead; he had already opened the door, but upon looking around, there was no sign of the little girl He Tiantian had mentioned.

"You just opened the door? There's nothing outside. Are you seeing things?"

He Tiantian tentatively peeked out, and sure enough, there was nothing at the door of room 403 except for a child's bicycle.

"I must have misread it... I'll go up with you!"

Shen Yizhou did not refuse and led He Tiantian to the elevator. The resident of 402 also went over.

It was a middle-aged man smoking a cigarette. He glanced at the two of them and asked, "Are you also going up to look for 504?"

Shen Yizhou nodded. "They almost smashed our ceiling."

The middle-aged man burst into laughter, "Hahaha, young man, you're really funny."

The elevator doors opened, and the three of them stepped inside together. "Uncle, are you also going to see them?"

"Yes, the one who got hit was my younger sister," the uncle replied calmly.

He Tiantian was shocked. This uncle seemed calm on the surface, but in reality, he must have already torn the man to pieces.

The elevator quickly reached the fifth floor. The uncle rolled up his sleeves, walked to the door of room 504, and pounded on the door vigorously.

The man flung open the door menacingly, yelling, "Who the hell is so inconsiderate? Can't you hear me when I'm dealing with something?!"

The middle-aged man slowly reached his hand into the crack in the door, and with a pull, he opened the door. The man looked at the middle-aged man in horror.

"Big brother, what brings you here?"

"Hmph, if I hadn't come, you would have beaten my little sister to death!"

When the woman saw that it was her older brother, she cried and hugged him.

"It's okay, little sister, I'll take care of it for you!"

After the man finished speaking, he kicked the man, who fell to the ground while still cursing.

Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian looked at the mess inside, and the woman's mouth and forehead were covered in blood.

"Sister, do you want to go to the hospital to get checked out?" He Tiantian asked tentatively.

Only then did the woman notice the two people standing behind her. "I'm fine. Is there something you need?"

"It's nothing, I just wanted to remind you that we live downstairs, so please don't smash our ceiling."

After Shen Yizhou finished speaking, he pulled He Tiantian away. He Tiantian wanted to say something, but Shen Yizhou covered her mouth.

As soon as the two stepped into the elevator, He Tiantian broke free from his hand, saying, "What are you doing! I haven't even said anything yet."

"Don't talk to them too much, or we'll be the ones who suffer."

Shen Yizhou expressed his opinion: those who are not involved in such matters should stay far away.

He Tiantian looked at the opposite door with some fear. She felt that it was eerie there, and she was also quite sure that she saw a little girl.

Shen Yizhou turned around and looked at He Tiantian, who was in a daze, and pulled her home.

"Go to sleep, you've had a long day."

Just as Shen Yizhou finished speaking, a strange noise came from upstairs—the sound of glass shattering on the ground.

He Tiantian was also drawn to the sound. She pointed to the ceiling, about to say something.
