He Tiantian took the water and drank it down.

After finishing her drink, she placed the glass on the bedside table, still feeling a bit dizzy.

"You can sleep over there."

Shen Yizhou pushed He Tiantian to the other side.

He Tiantian didn't ask why, lay down and went to sleep. She didn't have any strange dreams in the second half of the night and slept soundly until dawn.

When I woke up, the person next to me was empty.

She stretched, got out of bed, and walked out into the living room. Strangely, Shen Yizhou wasn't there.

He Tiantian slapped her cheek hard, and a wave of pain washed over her. Only then did she realize that she was not dreaming and that Shen Yizhou was really gone.

She hurriedly put on her shoes, and as soon as she opened the door, she saw Shen Yizhou looking for his keys.

"Where have you been! I thought you had disappeared."

"I'm going downstairs to buy breakfast."

Shen Yizhou pushed He Tiantian back, took the breakfast and went inside. It took him less than 20 minutes to go out and come back.

He Tiantian consciously went to the bathroom to wash up. She looked in the mirror while brushing her teeth. Luckily, she had grabbed a box of face masks yesterday, as her face was extremely dehydrated.

She walked out of the bathroom, and breakfast was already laid out on the dining table, including her favorite soup dumplings! He Tiantian picked one up with her hand and put it in her mouth.

Delicious as always!!

Shen Yizhou drank a few sips of soy milk before starting to fill the soup dumplings.

"The weather outside isn't very good today; it looks like it's going to rain."

He Tiantian turned to look out the window. The sky was covered with dark clouds, just like nighttime in the early morning.

"There's nothing much to do today, let's just stay home and watch a movie."

He Tiantian has already arranged her afternoon activities. She'll watch some variety shows and put on a face mask first!

After finishing breakfast, He Tiantian went to her room and took out a face mask. She specifically chose a super moisturizing one. She opened the bathroom door and started applying the mask in front of the mirror.

I felt a stinging sensation on my face; I'm definitely very dehydrated!

She walked out of the living room with a face mask on. Shen Yizhou stared at her face for a moment before realizing that she had a face mask on.

He Tiantian made up her mind that she couldn't hold Yi Zhou back any longer! She turned on the detective variety show to start watching.

As a result, she laughed herself to death and learned nothing.

Shen Yizhou sat next to her and watched; both of them were completely engrossed in the variety show.

There was a rapid knocking at the door. He Tiantian pressed pause and watched as Shen Yizhou went to open the door.

When the door opened, the landlady was there. She walked in without saying a word and sat down next to He Tiantian.

"Landlady, what's wrong? Why do you look so serious?" He Tiantian awkwardly peeled off her face mask.

"Little sister, you don't know this! I heard from the resident of 403 that you and your boyfriend went to the 5th floor last night, didn't you?"

"Oh, right, they were arguing and kept throwing things on the floor. My boyfriend was worried that they would damage the ceiling, so he went up and warned them."

Shen Yizhou closed the door and walked to He Tiantian's side. He had noticed something was wrong that morning.

“Hey, that woman upstairs, she’s often abused by her husband, you guys better not get involved with her. I tried to talk her out of it a while ago, and she comes to me whenever she has a problem, but then she turns around and tells her husband that I’m the one who’s stirring things up between them.”

The landlady got angrier and angrier as she spoke. She was an old woman, and she had to put up with this kind of treatment.

"Oh my god..."

He Tiantian is no longer able to offer any comment.

"This happened this morning. I should have listened to my husband and kicked them out! Now the house is a haunted house!"

He Tiantian now realized that something must have happened upstairs. The old lady had come to complain, but how did the resident of 403 know that they had gone upstairs?

"Landlady, what's going on upstairs?"

Shen Yizhou asked politely.

“Let me tell you, this morning the woman’s older brother went to knock on the door, but no one answered no matter how hard he knocked, so he went upstairs to find me. I was already annoyed, but when I opened the door and went in, there was blood all over the floor! The woman’s head had been smashed open.”

"What?! His head was blown apart?!"

He Tiantian picked at her ears, thinking she had misheard.

"Yes! I couldn't even see his face clearly. It scared this old lady to death. The man has long since disappeared. Now the police are questioning people everywhere. The 403 resident told me that you went up there. I just came to remind you."

“We went up with that woman’s older brother yesterday, and he can testify to that.”

Shen Yizhou explained the situation to the old woman, and after she understood, she got up and left, reminding us to be careful as she went.

After seeing the old woman off, He Tiantian knew that the plot had begun, and they had to start looking for the murderer!

Is it too late to go up and watch now?

"Zhouzhou, should we go up and take a look?"

Shen Yizhou thought for a moment, then nodded in agreement. The two walked out the door, pressed the elevator button, and arrived at the 5th floor in no time. There were many people gathered at the door of 504.

Shen Yizhou pulled He Tiantian to look inside. Several police officers were squatting on the ground taking photos and collecting evidence, and a forensic doctor was examining the body.

When He Tiantian saw that the woman was completely unrecognizable, her head was indeed as the landlady had said—it was all bloated with vomit!

She couldn't help but rush out of the crowd and start gagging at the window. Oh no, how could I have seen so much? I'm going to have nightmares tonight.

She looked downstairs to calm herself down, and suddenly noticed a man wearing a hat watching her from below.

He Tiantian glared back defiantly, "What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a beautiful woman before? You're gagging."

Shen Yizhou walked over to her and said, "Are you alright? If you can't take it, you should go back first."
