My Partner is Actually an NPC?

He Tiantian was riding an electric scooter at high speed when she collided with a vehicle driving in the wrong direction. She thought she was dead, but instead, she was transmigrated into a detecti...

Chapter 64 Train Ghost Stories 1

Hearing the child's voice, He Tiantian felt a chill run down her spine.

Two hours later, the train attendants began distributing food and water.

A voice came from outside the door, "Hello, the two meal boxes and water are on the ground. Please come out and collect them."

After the train conductor finished speaking, he went to the next carriage. Shen Yizhou opened the door a crack and reached in to take the meal box and water.

He Tiantian sat in her chair eating, looking out the window at the scenery, which was utterly uninteresting, just a blur of images...

The train began to slow down, and He Tiantian could see the scenery outside clearly—a desolate open space.

Footsteps echoed down the corridor, followed by the sounds of several people talking.

"Hurry up, let's get off the bus now!"

"But the rules tell us not to get off the bus."

"You're not leaving, are you? Then go back yourself. We're not staying here any longer."

"No, no, no, I'll go with you!"

He Tiantian was genuinely curious about what the punishment would be for getting off the bus, especially since she could see people getting off from the window!

She quickly peered out the window and saw the group of people running around like headless flies.

One of the boys tripped on the tracks and fell to the ground because he was walking too fast. People around him stopped to help him up.

Another train sped past, instantly crushing the group into a bloody pulp.

He Tiantian was so frightened that she immediately covered her eyes and pulled the curtains up again.

Shen Yizhou scoffed, "You're afraid, but you still want to see."

"I'm not afraid at all! I just got sand in my eyes." He Tiantian's only stubbornness was her words.

After stopping for five minutes, the train slowly started moving again.

The day passed quickly, and it was dinnertime again. As usual, the train attendant sent a reminder in the group chat.

He Tiantian looked at the rules on the paper repeatedly, and only when she checked the time did she realize that it was almost six o'clock. She was just about to get up and draw the curtains.

Looking up, I realized I had drawn the curtains that afternoon.

With three minutes remaining at 6:00 PM, the curtains were inexplicably pulled open without either of them noticing.

At exactly 6:00 PM, He Tiantian was startled by the sound of something hitting her head. She looked up and saw that the curtains had been opened at some point.

A flock of small black birds flew in from outside the window and frantically crashed against it. Shen Yizhou immediately drew the curtains.

The impact stopped immediately, and both of them were slightly out of breath.

"I drew the curtains this afternoon, and I glanced at them just three minutes ago."

"I know, I saw it too."

The two fell silent. Then they heard the train attendant bringing food from outside the door, gently asking if they had any trash to throw away.

Shen Yizhou opened the door carrying a bag of trash, and he found it difficult to look directly at the train conductor.

Her eyes had no pupils, only the whites. The flesh on her face was rotten, and maggots were crawling out of the flesh. She smiled as she took the trash from Shen Yizhou's hand.

Shen Yizhou could only pretend to be nonchalant as he picked up the lunchbox from the ground.

After closing the carriage door, he ran to the toilet and started vomiting. He could also smell a foul odor on the train attendant.

He Tiantian ran to his side with concern, "Zhouzhou, what's wrong? Why did you throw up?"

She quickly picked up the towel hanging on the wall, washed it, and used it to wipe Shen Yizhou's mouth.

I poured him another glass of water to rinse his mouth.

Shen Yizhou waved his hand, "I'm fine, I just probably ate the wrong thing at noon."

He didn't plan to tell He Tiantian; if she knew, she'd probably have nightmares.

He Tiantian helped Shen Yizhou sit on the bed. It was already dark outside, and the lights in the room were turned on.

"You eat first, I'll eat later."

He Tiantian looked at Shen Yizhou's ashen face and was still a little worried about him.

She took out her lunchbox and started eating. Tonight there was a super big chicken leg. She took a bite and it tasted pretty good.

He finished his meal in no time, and Shen Yizhou remained lying in bed with his eyes closed, not saying a word.

He Tiantian was a little bored, so after resting for 20 minutes, she decided to take a shower first.

She opened her standard suitcase, which contained her pajamas for the apartment, two sets of casual wear, and even her skincare products.

But besides these, there was nothing else. Thinking about the dozens of bottles of coconut water she hadn't drunk in the apartment, she felt a pang of heartache.

After preparing her things, she went into the bathroom, which was very clean and had a faint floral fragrance.

He Tiantian turned on the shower and started taking a shower. She never imagined she'd be able to shower on a train one day; it was truly unbelievable...

Shen Yizhou sat up; the nausea he had just felt had dissipated. He sat in the chair and opened his lunchbox.

Fortunately, he could still eat the dishes tonight.

With a loud rumble, a torrential downpour began outside the window, startling He Tiantian in the bathroom.

She quickly put on her pajamas and came out of the bathroom.

"Hey, you've had a good rest? What happened to you this afternoon?"

"It's nothing, I just suddenly feel a bit nauseous in my stomach."

"Okay, why is it raining again?"

He Tiantian listened to the sound of rain outside the window and felt inexplicably irritable. She really hated rainy days.

"I checked the weather forecast, and it's going to snow again in a few days."

"I love snow. I've never seen snow before in my life."

"Then you'll see it very soon."

He Tiantian sat on the bed with a smile. And you know what? The mattress was made of latex, and it was really comfortable to lie on.

With nothing to do, He Tiantian took advantage of the time while Shen Yizhou went to take a shower to watch a TV series on her phone.
