Lin Bing strolled downstairs leisurely. "Oh? What kind of meat is so good?"

The shopkeeper looked at Lin Bing and said, "Of course it's fresh beef. Would you two like to try some?"

Shao Yu simply nodded and asked the boss to bring two portions to try.

A delicious aroma of meat wafted out from the kitchen, surprising the two of them. It smelled so good!

Before long, the waiter brought up two bowls of rice and a large plate of braised pork.

Shao Yu couldn't resist and picked up his chopsticks to eat. The first bite was delicious, and the meat was tender.

Seeing how much he enjoyed his food, Lin Bing couldn't resist and started eating with him.

The two finished the meat on their plates in no time.

The owner stepped forward and asked, "Gentlemen, how does the meat taste?"

"Great! What seasonings were used to make this? It tastes better than regular braised pork."

The owner smiled but didn't answer Shao Yu's question. "I'm glad you like it!"

After saying that, he left. Lin Bing and Shao Yu finished eating and drinking and went upstairs, completely forgetting the strange signs in the inn.

late at night.

He Tiantian finally woke up. She touched her hungry stomach, but Shen Yizhou wasn't in bed.

He was sitting in the chair, deep in thought, which startled He Tiantian.

"What are you doing sitting there in the dark?"

Shen Yizhou turned around when he heard the voice. "I feel something is strange, and I can't sleep."

He Tiantian got out of bed and sat down next to him, pouring herself a glass of water. "Are you hungry? Do you want to go downstairs and get a bowl of noodles?"

Upon hearing this, Shen Yizhou realized he was indeed hungry. Seeing that He Tiantian was sleeping soundly, he didn't wake her up and forgot to eat himself.

The two went down to the first floor, where the owner was still sitting at the cashier.

"Boss, is there anything left to eat?" He Tiantian asked the boss after finding a seat.

"We can make you noodles, but we don't have any meat left; your companions ate it all."

"It's alright, just make us two bowls of noodles."

The boss turned and instructed the waiter, who quickly went to the kitchen to start making noodles.

The noodles were served shortly afterward; they contained no meat, only some vegetables and dried shrimp.

He Tiantian was probably starving, because she thought even this simple noodle soup was delicious.

Shen Yizhou ate half of it and then stopped; he didn't really like the taste.

After the two finished eating, they went upstairs. The owner stared menacingly at the three rooms.

The main light on the first floor went out as soon as He Tiantian returned to her room, and she lay on the bed to continue sleeping.

Shen Yizhou lay beside her, unable to fall asleep, his body trembling uncontrollably.

He Tiantian noticed his unusual behavior. "Are you too cold? Why are you shivering?"

"I don't know, it must be too cold."

Hearing his words, He Tiantian got up and switched places with him, saying, "You can sleep inside, it's warmer there."

Shen Yizhou felt sleepy after changing his position, while He Tiantian didn't feel cold and fell asleep quickly.

The six of them stayed at the inn for three whole days. There was only one week left, and if nothing unexpected happened, something was bound to happen.

Night fell.

Lin Bing and Shao Yu have been feeling oily lately, but they can't quite put their finger on what's causing the oiliness.

The boss and the waiter, armed with knives, sneaked into their room. The pig they'd raised for so long should be fat by now.

The waiter walked ahead and gently pushed open the door. Lin Bing and Shao Yu were fast asleep.

The boss tiptoed in, holding a sleeping pill in his hand, placed it on the table inside, and then stood at the door.

"Boss, if we succeed this time, we'll have six people!"

"Haha, of course, it's just that the man and woman didn't get to eat meat, so they can't get fat."

The two were whispering to each other at the door when He Tiantian was woken up by the urge to urinate. Just as she was about to open the door, she heard the conversation between the boss and the waiter.

She went back to bed, shook Shen Yizhou awake, covered his mouth, and whispered, "I heard the boss and the waiter doing something naughty outside the door!"

Shen Yizhou sat up and followed He Tiantian to the door of the room, where he indeed heard the voices of the boss and the waiter.

"Boss, is it almost smoked enough?"

"Pull your nose in, and then turn off the sleeping pills before you go in."

The waiter stuffed a towel into his nose, pushed open the door, went inside, and used water to extinguish the sleeping potion.

Lin Bing and Shao Yu lay motionless on the bed. The boss went in and gently closed the door.

Shen Yizhou arrived at their room door and poked a hole in the window paper.

The boss and his assistant, each holding a knife, lifted the two men onto the ground.

Just as he was about to strike, Lin Bing's crow flew in and yelled at the boss, "Murder! Murder!"

The boss and his assistant trembled, and the knife fell to the ground. Shen Yizhou pushed open the door and knocked the boss down. The loud noise woke up A Qing and A Yu.

They rushed over to check on him, and the waiter pushed Shen Yizhou aside and helped the boss up.

He picked up the knife from the ground and pointed it at Shen Yizhou.

"Don't meddle in other people's business! It's not your time to die yet!" The boss clutched his chest and glared fiercely at Shen Yizhou.

Shen Yizhou stood up. Aqing and Ayu also arrived. They looked at the scene in front of them. The boss and his assistant were holding knives.

"Boss, what do you mean by this?" He Tiantian asked the boss.

"Hmph, what kind of meat do you think we've been eating these past few days? It's all from the previous tenants."

Aqing and Ayu stared at the boss in shock, then vomited; they had just eaten meat that evening.

Xiao Er found an opportunity and smashed the bottle of sleeping pills on the ground. Shen Yizhou and He Tiantian immediately covered their noses.

A plume of white smoke rose from the room, and the two were forced to move outside.
