Why do experts and directors from various top-tier hospitals frequently appear at a community clinic? Why do nationally renowned experts and professors often visit a township-level health center?

Chapter 107 Pregnancy and Eclampsia

"Doctor Yun, I'm a doctor in the emergency department of the Third Hospital. Shi Haihang, we're in the same line of work."

When he got closer, Shi Haihang introduced himself and tried to get closer to Yun Heng. "The little boy who swallowed a nail was sent to our hospital's emergency department last time. I was the one who took care of him. To be honest, I was really shocked at the time."

"Doctor Shi."

Yun Heng smiled and greeted politely, and said modestly, "I just had a sudden inspiration at that time."

"Hey, this kind of thing doesn't happen on a whim. I just didn't expect you to be so young, Doctor Yun. I was quite surprised to see you here today."

"You're very kind."

Yun Heng smiled and said, "Doctor Shi, please sit down and talk."

There is only one stool next to each consultation table in the clinic, which is for patients to sit on. However, Shi Haihang's nephew's wife is in a wheelchair, so the stool is empty.

Shi Haihang smiled and sat down beside him, introducing him to Yun Heng: "This is my nephew, and this is my nephew's wife."

Wu Yufei nodded to Yun Heng as a greeting.

Yun Heng nodded as well. He continued to observe the woman and asked, "Is your lover having trouble with his eyesight? Is he having trouble seeing?"

"My wife is having trouble seeing right now."

Yun Heng's words made Wu Yufei take it more seriously. His wife just had poor vision, but she was not blind, and she came in in a wheelchair. Yun Heng could tell from these details that his wife had vision problems. This alone showed his level of skill.

"Do you have any hearing problems or tinnitus?" Yun Heng asked.

"Yes, I have tinnitus, so sometimes I can't hear clearly what other people are saying."

Wu Yufei nodded again, thinking that this doctor was quite capable.

"Blurred vision, tinnitus, and restlessness?"

Yun Heng continued to observe and ask, "Numbness in your limbs, unsteadiness in sitting or standing, dizziness?"

"Yes, I have all the symptoms you mentioned."

Wu Yufei nodded again, already using honorifics.

Yun Heng nodded, typing on the computer, and asked, "Are there any other symptoms?"

"Recently, he has had paroxysmal muscle spasms again, and Western medicine diagnosed him with hypertensive eclampsia," said Wu Yufei.

Yun Heng actually already made a judgment.

He just asked about tinnitus and vision, which were observed. Later he asked whether there was numbness in the limbs, instability, or dizziness, which were actually inferences based on the symptoms of eclampsia.

Eclampsia is a disease name used in both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. The Western medical definition is convulsions that occur on the basis of preeclampsia and cannot be explained by other reasons. It is one of the five conditions of gestational hypertension and can also be an urgent and serious complication of preeclampsia.

Eclampsia can occur before, during, or after delivery, and atypical cases can occur before 20 weeks of gestation. Eclampsia remains a common life-threatening condition for pregnant women worldwide.

In traditional Chinese medicine, the term "eclampsia" refers to the sudden onset of dizziness and collapse in late pregnancy, before and after delivery, unconsciousness, eyes looking upward, clenched jaws, convulsions of limbs, and whole body rigidity. It is also known as "eclampsia" or "pregnancy epilepsy" and occurs when a woman suddenly experiences dizziness and collapses in the late stages of pregnancy, before and after delivery, or becomes unconscious.

Depending on the time of onset, if it occurs in late pregnancy or before delivery, it is called antepartum eclampsia; if it occurs after delivery, it is called "postpartum eclampsia."

It can be seen that both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine have the same understanding of this disease during pregnancy, which means that this disease is a dangerous disease that pregnant women are prone to.

"Do you have any medical history?" Yun Heng stopped typing, motioned the other party to put his wrist up, and asked while feeling the pulse.

"It's happened before."

Wu Yufei said, "It happened once four years ago, but it was also when I was about six months pregnant. I had no choice but to have an induced abortion. The doctor told me not to get pregnant again. We have actually been very careful in the past few years, but my wife always feels guilty. We really want a baby of our own...but I didn't expect it to be like this this time..."

"Doctor Yun, my nephew is 35 years old this year, and his wife is 32. They were pregnant four years ago, but had an induced abortion. If they can't keep the baby this time, they'll really have to adopt it."

Shi Haihang also hurriedly said to Yun Heng.

"Um."

Yun Heng said nothing and took the pulse carefully.

Pregnancy eclampsia can be said to be a critical condition. It usually occurs in the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy or during delivery. In the early stages, pregnant women will experience dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, flushed face, numbness of limbs or swelling of feet. In severe cases, they may suddenly faint and lose consciousness.

This was the first time Yun Heng encountered such a disease.

Yun Heng knows his own business well, and this kind of disease is actually a real problem for him.

Faced with such a disease, Yun Heng was not very confident.

If Yun Heng had known this was the case when he first came to the West Asia Community Hospital, he would have advised the patient to go to a large hospital and would never have dared to try it.

But after a month in the community hospital, plus almost fifty to sixty hours of practice in the simulation space, Yun Heng was no longer as timid as he was at the beginning. He could only be cautious and dialectical, and act within his ability.

This disease is a challenging one for Yun Heng since he started practicing medicine.

"Come on, switch arms."

After touching the right hand, Yun Heng signaled the other party to change to the left hand and continue to feel the pulse. While feeling the pulse, Yun Heng was thinking in his mind.

"Are there any fever symptoms?" Yun Heng asked.

"No, I don't have a fever." Wu Yufei said hurriedly.
