"What are you looking at? Come on, let's eat," Xi Yun said irritably, carrying the fish soup to the dining table.
To cover up one's guilty conscience.
Sui Xin followed behind, carrying the meat soup. After putting it down, she went to get two bowls of rice.
The two sat down at the table with chopsticks in hand, looking at each other.
With a smile, she scooped some broth with a spoon and pointed at the blackfish, saying, "Yun'er, eating fish is good for your health."
"Hmph, fine, I'll eat it then," Xi Yun said, forcing herself to peel off the black skin on the fish and pick up a piece of fish meat.
As soon as he put it in his mouth, his face turned pale, and he forced himself to swallow it.
It had an extremely strong fishy smell and no taste at all; it was very unpalatable.
I almost threw up when I closed my eyes.
Before Sui Xin even started eating, she saw Xi Yun's expression and couldn't help but ask, "Is it delicious? Blackfish meat."
"It's delicious, it smells so good!" Xi Yun said, pretending to enjoy it.
"Oh~, if it's delicious, then Yun'er, you should eat more. I definitely won't fight you for it," Sui Xin said, suppressing a laugh.
Xi Yun was displeased and picked up a piece of fish, putting it into Sui Xin's bowl. "No, you have to eat it, try it?"
"I don't…"
Sui Xin wanted to refuse, but seeing Xi Yun's expectant yet threatening expression, she didn't continue and reluctantly put the fish into her mouth.
In an instant, a strange taste wafted over, and it was really hard to swallow, but I still swallowed it.
"Ahem, Yun'er, how about we skip the fish?" Sui Xin said with a look of disgust.
"So it really doesn't taste good?" Xi Yun seemed a little disappointed. Although she knew it didn't taste good, she still couldn't help but feel unhappy after hearing the answer.
Sui Xin looked at Xi Yun, unsure how to answer, when suddenly it seemed as if she remembered something.
He took out two small pots from his storage bag and teased Xiyun, saying, "Ta-da, Yun'er, look what these are!"
Xi Yun's gaze was immediately drawn to it. Looking at the small pot, she felt it looked familiar. After thinking for a moment, her eyes lit up. "The fine wine from the small shop on Tianxu Mountain?"
"Hmm," Sui Xin handed Xi Yun a pot of tea.
When they left, seeing that Xiyun liked the wine there, he bought several large barrels and asked the shopkeeper for some small wine jugs. He never expected that they would come in handy now.
"Hey, hey, drink less, eat your food first," Sui Xin called out to Xi Yun, who was about to start drinking.
"oh"
To be honest, the broth wasn't that delicious, but in order not to upset Xiyun too much, Suixin forced herself to finish two large bowls.
He was probably well-fed and satisfied.
I was truly satisfied and enjoyed the meal very much.
After finishing the meal.
"Sui Xin, have a couple of drinks with me."
Xi Yun was quite impatient. After returning from Tianxu Mountain, she had been craving the wine there for a long time. She hadn't expected Sui Xin to be so thoughtful, and her heart was warmed.
"Okay, but don't drink too much," Sui Xin reminded him.
"Let's go outside, it's too hot inside," Xi Yun nodded and said.
The room is well insulated, and it's even hotter now that we've just finished cooking.
Although it's over a month and very cold outside, the cold is the least of my worries when it comes to drinking.
"good"
The two of them, each carrying a cup and a small wine pot, walked towards the door, swept away a layer of snow, and sat on the small steps in front of the door, leaning against each other.
"Cheers!"
The two faced each other, poured themselves a glass of wine, and began to savor it.
"It tastes so good!" Xi Yun exclaimed.
I don't know why she developed a liking for alcohol.
I think it's pretty good, especially with this kind of weather and atmosphere; it has a great flavor and texture.
In the distance, there was no moon or stars in the sky; only the light from the Xuan Yu Sect itself faintly illuminated the horizon.
Nearby, the dormitory area was pitch black, except for the Sui family, whose lights were on. Two figures sat together in front of the door.
A cold wind blew by from time to time, ruffling the girl's hair. She unconsciously snuggled closer to the boy and took his arm.
And so, the two drank and chatted, and before long, a pot of wine was empty.
Xi Yun's face was flushed, slightly tipsy; Sui Xin's face was also slightly red, but he was still quite sober, and his alcohol tolerance was not bad.
"Hmm? That's all? Suixin, I want more," Xiyun asked, turning the wine jug over and finding it empty.
"Forget it, don't drink too much," he decisively refused.
"Oh, okay," Xi Yun said obediently, without making a fuss, and quietly leaned on Sui Xin's shoulder.
After a while, Xiyun shook Suixin's shoulder and asked, "What would you do if I were gone?"
"ah?"
I don't understand why Xiyun suddenly asked such a question.
Perhaps she doesn't know either.
Sui Xin felt that the question was somewhat familiar, but she couldn't quite place it. After thinking for a while, she said, "Idiot, I won't let you leave me, and I won't leave you either."
"Hehe, that's good."
"I don't know how I would live without you," Xi Yun added, her tone suggesting she was somewhat drunk.
After she finished speaking, a series of even and strong breathing sounds came from behind her. Sui Xin turned her head slightly and saw that she had fallen asleep with her head against her shoulder.
It was windy outside, so Sui Xin carefully picked up Xi Yun and carried her inside, making sure to close the door behind her.
It's getting late. We've spent almost two hours cooking and eating, so it's time to go to bed.
Sui Xin helped Xi Yun cover herself with the blanket and then crawled into bed herself; turning around to look at the sleeping Xi Yun, she felt a little dazed.
What surfaced in his mind was that strange dream, as if an invisible force was slowly fading his memory of the dream, until now he had almost completely forgotten it, even more so than in the afternoon.
