The men in the surrounding area took off their coats and looked for shady spots, but the heat was so intense that they found it difficult to breathe.

Just then, an old man walking in front of Li Hao suddenly fell down in front of him. Li Hao was startled and couldn't pull his leg back in time, so he stumbled.

The burly man who was with the old man had been helping him move forward, but because it was too hot, he took off his coat. As soon as he took it off, the old man fell to the ground. Seeing this, the man rushed forward to check on him, "Father, what's wrong? Father!"

"What?!" The burly man was shocked upon hearing this and immediately grabbed Li Hao, who was about to leave. "It was you! You're the one who just pushed my father down and killed him!"

Li Hao was completely bewildered, but the next second he immediately realized that he had really been scammed! He hurriedly said:

"No, it wasn't me. Your father fell down on his own. I didn't push him!"

"Bullshit! My father and I just came back from the Li Family Clinic. They said my father was fine and would live to see next year. He died right after we left. You must have pushed my father down and killed him!"

"You, you all—" Li Hao gasped for breath, at a loss for what to do.

The burly man gripped Li Hao's hand tightly. "A life for a life! Come with me to the court to face the consequences!"

Li Hao immediately panicked, "I didn't kill anyone! Don't frame me!"

Not only was the burly man pulling Li Hao along, but the surrounding crowd of onlookers kept pushing him, shouting indignantly:

"A life for a life, a debt for a debt—that's only right and proper!"

Let the law judge him!

Li Hao was sweating profusely with anxiety, but his rebuttals were like stones sinking into the sea, completely drowned out by their voices.
