Nine Lives, Nine Worlds of Tribulation

Memories are like ever-blooming stone flowers, yet only the self believes them to be eternal. Ultimately, what they bring is the ruthlessness of reincarnation; perhaps no one will wait this time.

Chapter 377 A Premeditated Crime

Restless people are prone to losing their temper in hot weather, but Li Hao couldn't get angry at all; instead, he felt wronged and desolate.

He never imagined that there were such shameless people in the world, and that so many "enthusiastic people" would watch him "make a fool of himself"!

Watching the flustered Li Hao from afar, Long Wei revealed a meaningful smile, but this smile didn't last long and gradually faded, because she spotted a figure in the crowd...

The man somehow made his way through the crowd to Li Hao and the burly man. Before he could even speak, he grabbed the burly man's hand, separated it from Li Hao's, and said, "Brother, your father isn't even dead yet, and you're already so eager to frame an innocent person. Isn't that a bit too much?"

The burly man's arm ached from the man's grip. He looked up at the man, only to see that he was wearing a mask, obscuring his face, and dressed in a purple robe. Seeing that the man was still gripping his arm tightly, the burly man flew into a rage, glaring and shouting, "Boy, who are you? The Li family's physician has confirmed my father's death. How could that be false?"

"That's right, the doctors in the Li family are all experts!"

"Don't talk nonsense if you don't understand medicine!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the people around him who had been egging him on immediately turned their anger towards him.

Li Hao looked up at the man and recognized him immediately upon seeing his attire; it was indeed Mo Han, Gu Liyan's senior brother.

What puzzled Li Hao was why Mo Han would help him. He wondered, "Could it be that he's helping me because of Brother Gu?"

Li Hao guessed correctly; the person who came was none other than Gu Liyan, who had disguised herself as Mo Han and come out to find Li Hao.

A pair of cold, clear eyes, now identical to Mo Han's, swept coldly over the motionless old man lying beside him, then glanced at the young doctor and spoke:

"You came up here and immediately checked whether the old man was alive or dead, but you didn't even take the most basic first aid measures, and you call yourself an authority? Hmph, I think you haven't learned the skills and are afraid of getting into trouble, so you don't save him! You should know that if the patient loses his last chance of life because you said he was already dead, you are the real culprit, the murderer!"

Upon hearing Gu Liyan's words, the young physician from the Li family flew into a rage. "What do you mean? You say I misdiagnosed him, fine, but now you want to blame me for this kid's mistake! I just examined him carefully, and the old man is dead! There isn't even the last bit of life left in his body!"

At this point, the people around him nodded in agreement.

"This Li Wang is the prized student of Patriarch Li Jin, there's absolutely no way he would be misdiagnosed!"

"Yes, yes, he cured my illness!"

"They are professional doctors; if you don't understand, don't talk nonsense!"

"Did you hear me, kid? I'm a professional! Who doesn't know the reputation of Li Family Medical Clinic? If you're looking for trouble, please open your eyes and look carefully at the sign of Li Family Medical Clinic!" Li Wang raised his chin smugly at Gu Liyan and pointed to the Li Family Medical Clinic behind him.

Gu Liyan squinted at Li Wang. This man looked to be only in his early thirties; she hadn't expected him to be Li Jin's prized student. However, after thinking it over, she realized that Li Jin was considering Mo Han's status and there wouldn't be any conflict. Li Hao's innocence was more important, so she didn't hesitate and said:

“I suspect you have made a misdiagnosis, and I have my reasons for it.” Gu Liyan said calmly, “Since your Li family clinic can’t save lives, then let me do it.”

Upon hearing this, Li Wang burst into laughter, sneering, "This is the first time I've ever heard of bringing a dead person back to life! Kid, Feng Da, don't bite off more than you can chew!"

Gu Liyan smiled slightly, "How will you know if you don't try? Just don't be speechless with surprise when the time comes!"

Li Wang curled his lip; he didn't believe Gu Liyan had the ability to bring the dead back to life!

Upon hearing Gu Liyan's claim that he could revive his father, the burly man stopped arguing with Li Hao and hurriedly approached Gu Liyan. "Brother, are you also a physician? Are you sure you can revive my father?"

“Of course!” Gu Liyan nodded, pointed at Li Hao and said, “But if your father is saved, shouldn’t you let this innocent passerby go?”

"Alright, if you revive my father, I won't hold him responsible!" the big man nodded.

Without saying a word, Gu Liyan went to the unconscious old man lying on the ground. Everyone's attention was drawn to him, and no one paid any attention to Li Hao.

If Li Hao had run away at this moment, he might not have been discovered. However, seeing Gu Liyan's confident expression, Li Hao did not choose to run away but stayed.

Gu Liyan raised his hand and placed his palm on the old man's chest, channeling his life force into the old man. In no time, the old man's wrinkled skin became smooth and taut at a speed visible to the naked eye, as if he had been rejuvenated. Not only that, but his full head of white silver hair turned black.

Everyone stared in astonishment at the changes in the old man:

"That's amazing!"

"My God, they're like gods!"

Amid the discussion, someone exclaimed, "He's alive! He's alive! Look, he's opened his eyes!"

The old man could no longer be considered old; he had reverted to the appearance of someone in middle age. He looked blankly at the people surrounding him. "What... what's going on? I remember feeling like I had heatstroke, and then I tripped and fell..."

The old man was bewildered. Suddenly, he saw his son's astonished and excited expression in the crowd. He immediately said irritably, "Hey waiter, what are you standing there for? Hurry up and help me up!"

Zhang Xiaoer was slightly taken aback and hurriedly stepped forward, "Father, you, you're not dead?!"
