Because of the conversation between Cangyi and the Nine Netherworld Emperor, Gu Liyan naturally became the Nine Netherworld Demon Emperor. Now, he has been assigned a residence and lives in the Demon Emperor's residence with Mo Chen, Fatty, and Yan Muxue.

Having lived in the mansion for three days, Yan Muxue and Gu Liyan often sat hand in hand in the garden, admiring the scenery of the garden reflected in the pond.

That day, Yan Muxue asked with a conflicted expression, "Xiao Li, I came to Jiuyou to find Brother Huang Yi. Now that I've found him, wouldn't it be bad if I just ignored him?"

Upon arriving at Mo Chen's room, they found the door open and Mo Chen sitting at the table, seemingly lost in thought.

Gu Liyan walked up to him, but he didn't even notice her.

He tapped the table and then Mo Chen came to his senses. In a panic, he asked, "My lord! When did you arrive?" As he spoke, Mo Chen hurriedly stood up.

Gu Liyan glared at Mo Chen. "What are you thinking about? You seem so engrossed."

"Nothing, I'm just bored." Mo Chen said with a bitter face, then secretly glanced at Gu Liyan and asked, "My lord, when can we go back? I'm worried that if we don't go back for too long, the Grand Strategist will blame you..."

Gu Liyan sighed, "Now that I've just taken on the identity of the Nine Nether Demon Emperor, I'm afraid it will be difficult for me to get out of this predicament."

"Ah?" Mo Chen asked anxiously, "What should we do? What if we get back too late and the demons have already attacked? Wouldn't that be..."
