Gu Liyan was writing an invitation when footsteps came from afar outside the door. Gu Liyan and Mo Han had extraordinary hearing and heard them clearly, but fortunately, the lights in their room were off.

Mo Han waved his hand to signal Gu Liyan to be quiet. The footsteps outside the door grew closer and closer, followed by a knock on the door. "Commander Mo, are you there? It's me, Wang Qi. I heard you ran out of wine, so I came to bring you some." Wang Qi said politely from outside the door.

Gu Liyan's expression changed slightly as he looked at Mo Han and asked in a low voice, "She actually came in person..."

Mo Han smiled slightly and said in a low voice, "Since they've delivered themselves to our doorstep, let them test them a bit more."

Gu Liyan smiled bitterly, unaware that her lie was actually perfectly timed!

Mo Han gestured to Gu Liyan with her lips, and Gu Liyan said loudly, "Come in!"

Upon hearing Gu Liyan's voice, Wang Qi's face lit up with joy. She pushed open the door and walked in. Seeing that the room was pitch black and Gu Liyan was writing something in the dark, she asked with concern, "It's already dark. Why aren't you turning on the light to write?"

Gu Liyan and Mo Han looked at her with slight surprise, while Wang Qi, on the other hand, casually turned on the light.

Gu Liyan put down his pen, looked at Wang Qi with feigned confusion, and asked, "Why are you here?"

"I'm here to deliver wine!" Wang Qi said, putting down the wine she was carrying in her other hand.

Gu Liyan smiled and said, "I didn't expect you to deliver it in person. I'm so sorry."

"What does it matter? We're friends!" Wang Qi looked at Gu Liyan.

Mo Han spoke up at an inopportune moment, "Judging from what Miss Wang is saying, it seems she has some connection with my junior brother?"

"Brother Mo is my savior!" Wang Qi said with a smile, not forgetting to wink at Gu Liyan.

Gu Liyan smiled awkwardly and didn't say anything.

Mo Han nodded. "I see. In that case, it's only right that Miss Wang finds my junior brother a better place to stay than here, isn't it?"

Wang Qi's face stiffened. She hadn't expected Mo Han to speak so casually. She smiled awkwardly and said, "That's only right. I came here to ask if there's anything I can do to help!"

Mo Han squinted at the source of the light and said meaningfully, "The Wang family's electricity bill is really expensive! I think we should turn it off. If it stays on any longer, I'll be out of money! Then I won't even have money for water, let alone wine!"

Wang Qi paused for a moment, then chuckled dryly, "Commander Mo is joking. For ordinary people, electricity and water bills are naturally not cheap. But for Commander Mo, they are provided free of charge!"

Mo Han looked at the wine on the table and asked with a smile, "That makes things easier. I don't need to pay for the wine, right?"

Gu Liyan covered his face. At this moment, Mo Han was like a stingy miser. He really didn't want to know him!

Instead of being angry, Wang Qi laughed and said, "Commander Mo is joking. This is wine I gave to a friend. Why would I ask for money? Besides, Brother Mo is my savior. I would even give him all the property of the Wang family! Of course, as long as Brother Mo is willing to become a member of my Wang family!"

After Wang Qi finished speaking, she looked at Gu Liyan with deep affection.

Gu Liyan, standing to the side, raised an eyebrow. As far as he knew, Wang Qi seemed to be only 19 years old. Why would she...?

Wang Qi immediately frowned and looked Gu Liyan up and down. "Only 19 years old? Commander Mo, are you kidding me?"

"Sister Wang Qi, I'm really only 19 years old," Gu Liyan said without changing her expression.

Wang Qi frowned, feeling very uncomfortable upon hearing the word "sister," as if she had revealed something. Not wanting to stay any longer, she said, "I remembered I still need to prepare medicine for my father at home, so I won't disturb you any longer."

Just as Wang Qi was about to leave, Mo Han said, "Xiao Li, please give Miss Wang an invitation to tomorrow's banquet as well."

Gu Liyan nodded. "Okay."

Gu Liyan stood up and handed the invitation to Wang Qi, saying, "Please accept this."

Wang Qi reluctantly accepted the invitation, seemingly still harboring resentment over the earlier use of the term "sister."

After Wang Qi left, Mo Han squinted at the light source and said with a smile, "I wonder who can reimburse me for this electricity bill."

As soon as he finished speaking, Gu Liyan went up to turn off the light and said irritably, "No need to report it, it's all small change!"

Before Wang Qi had gone far outside the door, the room lights were turned off, plunging the room into darkness. Wang Qi's chest heaved as she turned and glared fiercely with her eerie green eyes before angrily leaving.

Hearing the footsteps outside the door grow fainter and fainter, Gu Liyan finally turned his gaze away with a serious expression, lost in thought. Mo Han narrowed his eyes and asked, "What did you discover?"

Gu Liyan looked at Mo Han and said, "I always feel that Wang Qi is not the Wang Qi I know!"

Mo Han opened the wine Wang Qi had brought, smiled, and poured herself a glass. "You need to confirm your own thoughts. Don't always rely on feelings. If it's true, it's true; if it's not, it's not. Where does this feeling come from..."

"She's not!" Gu Liyan confirmed. "She's not even older than me!"

"Are you sure?"

"It's confirmed!"
