I just came down the mountain and drove straight to the Third Hospital.

"Father, Mother, look who I brought!" Gu Tao excitedly pushed open the door to the ward, but her face immediately darkened as soon as she opened the door. The person lying on the hospital bed was not Gu Liyan at all, but a fat middle-aged man with his legs crossed.

"Who are you? Where is my father?" Gu Tao asked in confusion.

"Who's your dad?" the obese middle-aged man said irritably. "If you want to acknowledge someone as your father, you'd better pay for my surgery first!"

Gu Tao ignored him. Gu Li and the others had already walked in behind her. Gu Li asked, "What's wrong?"

"Father isn't here anymore. I don't know where he went?" Gu Tao asked with a displeased expression.

"Don't worry, go ask Xiao Li's attending physician," Gu Li said.

Gu Tao remembered Dean Gao and led everyone to Dean Gao's office.

The dean's office had changed; the originally simple office had become luxurious, and it didn't look like what a dean should have at all.

Dean Gao was leaning back in his executive chair, resting with his eyes closed. Lin Momo was now blind and being hunted by assassins, so she couldn't show her face. In addition, she had lost real power, and Yan Xiyue hadn't come since her last visit. Now, Dean Gao was the real head of the hospital.

For Dean Gao, he felt that he was the real winner in life!

With a bang, the office door was kicked open. Dean Gao was startled and muttered, "What kind of door is this? It's been open for ages!" as he saw a small figure walk in.

Dean Gao slammed his fist on the table in anger. "This is a soundproof and burglarproof door! It's not something you can just force your way in! Besides, didn't your parents tell you to knock before entering a stranger's room?"

Gu Tao thought about it very seriously, "They really do seem to have taught me!"

Dean Gao, enraged, pointed at Gu Tao and yelled, "You ill-mannered bastard, get out of here!"

"Oh, who is this? Such an air of authority! Isn't this Lin girl's property? Why is the dean so fierce?" Luo Zichen said sarcastically.

Dean Gao's heart skipped a beat when he saw Luo Zichen enter behind Gu Tao. It seemed they knew Lin Momo. He immediately stood up and greeted Luo Zichen with a smile, "Is this lady a friend of the boss? I was truly rude just now."

"Stop talking nonsense, I'm asking you where Gu Liyan is?" Gu Li said irritably.

"Gu Liyan?" Dean Gao looked puzzled. "We don't have this patient here. Even if we do, we'll have to check. I can't remember the patient's name."

“Dean Gao, you must have a bad memory. Don’t you remember me? You must remember my father! He is Mo Li!” Gu Tao stepped forward and spoke up.

When Dean Gao saw Gu Tao, he remembered the boy he had seen in Gu Liyan's ward. At the time, he was puzzled as to how there could be such a good-looking child, but he didn't think much of it. Seeing Dean Gao's hesitant manner, Luo Zichen coldly asked, "Is what you're saying true?"

Dean Gao felt completely out of place under Luo Zichen's gaze, but he still nodded and said, "Yes, it's true!"

Luo Zichen looked at Dean Gao with some suspicion. "Do you know where Mo Li went?"

"The news said he was taken away in a police car, maybe he was arrested, after all, he deceived the public and even defrauded two large corporations..."

Before Dean Gao could finish speaking, Gu Tao angrily interrupted, "My father didn't deceive them, much less commit fraud. They're the ones who framed my father!"

"Never mind, Xiao Tao, let's go look for it first," Luo Zichen said.

Lin Momo slowly raised her head, her lips cracked and dry from not eating for three days. She weakly spoke, "Old Gao, why...why did you betray me..."

"Betrayal? How can you call it betrayal? I was the one who saved you in the first place, and you only helped me to have a place to stay in this city. We just had a mutually beneficial relationship. As for you, now that you've transferred all your assets to someone else, you're no longer of any use to me!" Dean Gao said matter-of-factly.

"You...you..." Lin Momo's chest heaved with anger.

“If your friend hadn’t come looking for you, you would have forgotten you were even here. You haven’t eaten or drunk anything for three days, so it seems you’re alright. I just don’t know how many more days you can last…” Dean Gao looked at Lin Momo and suddenly smiled. “By the way, you don’t know this, do you? My wife and children have been detained for a month because of you! What do you think I should do to save them?”
