No More Bootlicking: They Regret It, But I Won't Look Back

Three months ago, the Feng family's universally adored young master mysteriously disappeared, sparking an emotional storm.

Lin Xiao, a third-year university student whose parents had both...

Chapter 130 An Awkward Blunder

Bai Youyou gently pushed open the bedroom door, glanced through the crack at Lin Xiao who was already fast asleep, and then carefully closed the door, making almost no sound.

She made two bowls of noodles, ate one herself, and couldn't finish the last one, so she called Sang Ting over to eat it.

"Sang Ting, your senior didn't bring any change of clothes. Would you like to come with me to the mall to buy some?" Bai Youyou said softly as she watched Sang Ting eat noodles.

Sang Ting took a bite of noodles. "Mmm, delicious! Okay, no problem. But why don't we go to his dorm to get them? The new clothes need to be washed before we can wear them."

Bai Youyou thought for a moment, "I want to buy my senior a new outfit."

Sang Ting glanced at Bai Youyou, blinked somewhat blankly, and said, "Oh, okay. But it's still raining outside."

"Let's take a taxi."

"It's too close. The fare is only three yuan. The driver might not be willing to take the fare."

"If it doesn't work, we'll call Sister Wan to come pick us up."

"OK."

In the end, the two had their driver, Sister Wan, pick them up and take them to a large shopping mall near the school.

Bai Youyou carefully selected a whole set of clothes, from the inside out, and even bought a stack of socks. She also bought him a pair of limited edition white Adidas sneakers.

As we were going down the escalator, a couple in love came up on the escalator next to us.

The boy was tall, with striking features and fair skin; he was clearly a handsome man. He was talking to his girlfriend when he looked up and saw Bai Youyou, and his eyes suddenly lit up.

He stared blankly at Bai Youyou, his Adam's apple bobbing.

His girlfriend discovered him, and she frowned, pinched his arm hard, snorted, glared at Bai Youyou, and then ran away down the escalator.

The boy then came to his senses and chased after him.

Bai Youyou was completely unaware of this; the only person on her mind was Lin Xiao.

Sang Ting laughed and said, "Youyou, did you see that boy peek at you just now, and his girlfriend glared at you?"

Bai Youyou shook her head blankly, "I didn't notice."

"Youyou, you really... only have eyes for Senior Lin Xiao!" Sang Ting said speechlessly.

Bai Youyou returned to room 901. Fearing that the washing machine would be too noisy and disturb Lin Xiao's sleep, she spent some money to ask Sang Ting to help her manually wash Lin Xiao's dirty clothes and new clothes.

After washing the clothes, she sent Sang Ting away and hung them out to dry on the balcony.

It was already quite late, and Bai Youyou was exhausted.

To attend Aunt Lin Xiao's funeral, Bai Youyou got up very early in the morning, didn't take a lunch break, and was busy for so long in the afternoon. She had hardly ever done any physical labor since she was a child, so today was considered an overexertion.

She took a shower, washed up, changed into a fluffy pink nightgown, and quietly lay down next to Lin Xiao.

Initially, no blanket was used.

But it was already getting cold in Wuhan at the end of December, and today, with the rain and overcast skies, the cold air was three times stronger than usual.

Bai Youyou drifted off to sleep, instinctively seeking warmth, she pulled back the covers and slipped inside.

When Xiao Linxiao woke up at six o'clock the next morning, Lin Xiao was awake from his deep sleep.

He suddenly opened his eyes, his heart tightening instantly.

He didn't even need to look to clearly feel a soft body pressed tightly against him.

But he still glanced down.

The usually aloof and adorable junior was now fast asleep, clinging to his arm.

Her fair and delicate face made her look exceptionally cute and charming.

Damn it.

To be human or not to be human became a philosophical question that troubled Lin Xiao once again.

Lin Xiao took a deep breath. The thought of the terrible consequences of Old Man Bai possibly sending someone to kill him after he slept with Bai Youyou made the little brother instantly obedient.

He pried Bai Youyou's hands apart and pushed her to the side, instantly creating distance between them.

He wasn't wearing any clothes, felt cold, and went back into his warm bed.

My stomach started rumbling in protest.

Lin Xiao closed his eyes and slept for another half hour.

Bai Youyou finally woke up. She found herself in bed and was so startled that she trembled. She quickly looked up at Lin Xiao next to her and saw that he was still asleep. She then relaxed, got up, and slipped out of the bedroom.

As soon as she closed the door, Lin Xiao opened his eyes.

He listened intently to the sounds coming from the bathroom, guessing that the fairy-like junior had already finished washing up, before shouting, "Junior, could you please get me some clothes?"

"Okay, senior, I'll get it for you right away." Bai Youyou agreed as she opened the bedroom door and rushed into the room, heading straight for the balcony.

She took off the clothes and found they weren't dry. She frowned and thought to herself, "Oh no, my senior has no clothes to wear."

Lin Xiao waited for a while, then impatiently urged, "What's going on? Where are the clothes, junior?"

Bai Youyou walked in carrying half-dry clothes and whispered, "Senior, I'm sorry, the clothes aren't dry yet."

Lin Xiao was stunned for a moment, then realized what had happened. Knowing that Bai Youyou meant well, he suppressed his anger and said softly, "Okay. You can bring my clothes in first. I'll dry them with a hairdryer and wear them for now. I'll go back to the dorm to change into dry clothes in a bit."

Bai Youyou had no choice but to do as instructed.

However, in order to make up for her mistake, she insisted on helping Lin Xiao dry his clothes.

But when Lin Xiao wrapped himself in the blanket, leaned against the headboard, and watched the silly junior girl blowing on a pair of men's boxer shorts, his forehead twitched uncontrollably.

"Junior, I'm hungry. Could you please cook me a bowl of noodles? I can handle things here."

Bai Youyou's cheeks flushed red. She turned off the hairdryer, tossed her underwear to Lin Xiao, and ran out, shouting, "It's dry!"
