Shen Jiachen was unaware that he had already been labeled a womanizer in Wen Zhixia's mind; he was still thinking about how to invite Wen Zhixia to dinner.

But before he could figure it out, Wen Zhixia beside him made a move.

He watched as Wen Zhixia closed her book and put her phone back in her bag, then asked, "Are you leaving?"

Wen Zhixia nodded: "Yeah, I still have some time. I plan to go back to my dorm and rest for a while."

Shen Jiachen said "Oh," and realized that the library was quite far from the dormitory, so they could take a walk together.

The temperature has cooled down considerably now, and there's hardly any sun today—it's perfect!

Shen Jiachen also stood up: "I'm fine, want to take a walk together?"

Wen Zhixia stared into his eyes for a few seconds, then nodded: "Okay."

Wen Zhixia returned the book, and the two left the library side by side through the back door.

There weren't many people strolling around campus at this time. A gust of wind blew by, causing Wen Zhixia's hair to flutter by her ears.

She always wears a ponytail, simple and neat.

At this age, both boys and girls pay more attention to their clothing and spend some time dressing themselves up.

But every time I saw Wen Zhixia, she had a pale face and was walking around in the simplest T-shirt and wide-leg pants.

Even so, it's still impossible to look away.

Shen Jiachen could feel an infinite upward force emanating from her, which was very vibrant.

Neither of them spoke, and they walked quietly for a while.

Finally, Wen Zhixia spoke first: "Senior, aren't you busy today?"

Shen Jiachen snapped out of his daze: "Um... I'm fine, why are you calling me 'senior' again?"

Wen Zhixia said slowly, "After thinking it over, I feel that calling him 'senior' is more appropriate."

Shen Jiachen blinked a few times, then couldn't help but stop in his tracks.

He stopped, and Wen Zhixia naturally stopped as well. She had taken a couple more steps than Shen Jiachen. Turning back to look at him, she still smiled and said, "We're almost at the dorm. That's the girls' dorm over there, so it's inconvenient for you to go there. Why don't you just walk here?"

Wen Zhixia waved slightly as usual: "Bye-bye, senior, see you later."

After she finished speaking, she turned around and walked briskly towards her dormitory.

Shen Jiachen pursed his lips tightly, watching Wen Zhixia's back, and his mood also sank. He wasn't stupid; he understood the meaning behind Wen Zhixia's words.

Calling him "senior" is more appropriate because any male alumnus older than her can be called that; he is just an ordinary senior among thousands of alumni.

Shen Jiachen was a little disappointed; he hadn't even had a chance to do anything before being politely rejected.

That night must have frightened her; it didn't seem like he had any good intentions at all.

Even after walking quite a distance, Wen Zhixia couldn't help but look back. Shen Jiachen was still standing there, head down, seemingly lost in thought.

But even from a distance, Wen Zhixia could sense his low spirits, so she withdrew her gaze and hurried back to her dormitory.

Shen Jiachen adjusted his mood slightly, and when he looked up again, he only saw Wen Zhixia's tiny figure.

He stood there for a while before turning away, dejected.

Just then, another unexpected voice called out to him.

"Brother Chen!"

Shen Jiachen looked in the direction of the sound and saw Yu Mingxue walking towards him with a smile.

"Mingxue," Shen Jiachen asked in confusion, "what are you doing here?"

Yu Mingxue walked up to him, her face still beaming with a bright smile: "I occasionally stay at school now."

"Hmm?" Shen Jiachen was a little surprised, but quickly replied, "Great. If you need any help, just send me a message."

"Okay, but Brother Chen, what are you doing here?" Yu Mingxue also found it strange, but seeing Shen Jiachen made her happy, and she couldn't help but mutter, "What have you been busy with lately? I wanted to ask you out for dinner but couldn't find you."

"I've been busy with the company and moving lately," Shen Jiachen said. "Why did you suddenly decide to live on campus?"

"Well, I suddenly want to live on campus." Yu Mingxue changed the subject: "It's my birthday party on Saturday, are you coming?"

Shen Jiachen thought for a moment and said, "I should go."

Although it was a birthday party, it was actually a networking event. Even if you're very busy, you'll still find some time to catch up.

Yu Mingxue's smile deepened: "Okay, I'll wait for you."

Shen Jiachen hummed in agreement: "See you later."

Yu Mingxue stepped aside and said, "Bye-bye, Brother Chen, I'll send you the address later. Don't get lost. See you on Saturday."

Shen Jiachen nodded slightly: "Okay, I understand."

Yu Mingxue smiled and stepped aside, watching Shen Jiachen walk out. After he had gone a little further away, she walked back to her dormitory in a good mood. However, after walking for a while, she suddenly remembered that Shen Jiachen did not seem to answer why she came here.

She looked back again, but Shen Jiachen had already walked far away.

Well, they probably just came over for a walk. I'm happy to run into them.

Yu Mingxue hummed a little tune as she returned to her dormitory, just in time to run into Wen Zhixia coming out of the bathroom.

She said in surprise, "Oh, it's rare to see you in the dorm at this hour."

Wen Zhixia said matter-of-factly, "It is indeed not common."

She looked at Yu Mingxue's smiling face and said, "It's rare to see you so happy."

"I'm happy every day." Yu Mingxue snorted, took two steps inside, then turned her head as if remembering something and asked, "Aren't you working a part-time job today?"

Wen Zhixia didn't know why Yu Mingxue asked about this, so she nodded and said, "I start work at six."

"Oh." Yu Mingxue then asked, "Has your sister's matter been resolved?"
