Wen Zhixia and the real estate agent finished looking at the second house.

The apartment is located behind University A, in an old neighborhood. However, elevators were installed in all the old neighborhoods a couple of years ago. It has two bedrooms and a living room, so she and Wen Sisi each have their own room and space.

The only downside is that the surrounding area is full of shops, and there's a night market that can be quite lively and noisy, even at 1 or 2 a.m.

Moreover, the rent has basically doubled, but the location is indeed good, not far from A University, and the bus and subway are very convenient nearby.

Although Wen Sisi's scores were not ideal, she could still get into a few good junior colleges in City A. However, she was certain that she could stay in City A and take the subway back home every week.

Wen Zhixia was in a good mood. Although she was satisfied with the house, she still asked the real estate agent to help her find another one.

After talking with the agent, Wen Zhixia was still worried about Wen Sisi who was sick. Just as she was about to buy some groceries at a nearby supermarket, the phone rang again.

She took it out and looked at it; it was actually Yu Mingxue.

"Mingxue?" Wen Zhixia asked, "Why do you suddenly have the leisure to call me?"

After Yu Mingxue started her vacation, she went out to play everywhere. The two of them talked about how Wen Zhixia liked her posts on WeChat Moments.

This time, Yu Mingxue didn't retort, but simply asked, "Where are you now?"

"I'm looking at apartments near the school, planning to rent a new one. What's up?" Wen Zhixia said as she walked towards the supermarket, holding an umbrella.

There was a moment of silence on Yu Mingxue's end: "Fukang Private Hospital, third floor, gynecology department, come here."

Fukang Private Hospital? This hospital is notoriously expensive in City A, but it also has the best resources.

"Then I'll be frank." Yu Mingxue took a slow, deep breath: "I saw your sister."

"My sister? Sisi?" Wen Zhixia was even more confused: "She should be at home right now."

Just then, Yu Mingxue suddenly raised her hand and gently turned her face towards the consultation area not far away. Wen Zhixia saw Wen Sisi walking out with heavy steps, and the person with her arm around her shoulder was her "ex".

The two of them were carrying a stack of reports, which looked like the examination had already been completed.

Yu Mingxue withdrew her hand and sighed softly, "Calm down, she is very likely... pregnant."

She was accompanying her cousin-in-law to her prenatal checkup today. She was about to leave when she saw Wen Sisi and that man coming up hand in hand.

At first, Yu Mingxue only felt that Wen Sisi looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn't remember who she was. It wasn't until the man called her "Sisi" when she passed by that she remembered that Wen Zhixia's ungrateful sister was also named Sisi.

Wen Sisi and Zhang Lei were both focused on the order forms in their hands, and neither of them noticed Wen Zhixia's presence. Afterwards, Zhang Lei said something to Wen Sisi and left first, while she found an empty seat and sat down in a daze.

Wen Zhixia then came to her senses, stood up abruptly, and quickly walked towards Wen Sisi.

Wen Sisi was still looking down at the test results, completely at a loss for what to do.

If her sister finds out... she'll be beaten to death by Wen Zhixia.

Wen Sisi felt a surge of fear at this thought, but Zhang Lei had promised to take responsibility, so she could only keep it a secret for now…

She took several deep breaths, her fingers gripping the examination report, her mind and heart in turmoil.

Just as another hand snatched her report away—not Zhang Lei's—Wen Sisi frowned, about to speak, when she looked up and saw Wen Zhixia standing in front of her. What she saw was her medical report.

Wen Sisi's mind went blank for a moment, and she instinctively reached for the report, but when she saw Wen Zhixia's ashen face, she shrank back in fear.

Wen Zhixia didn't know what words to use to describe her feelings. She looked at the report and couldn't even utter a word.

Yu Mingxue stood beside her and quickly glanced at the contents of the list. Although she already knew about it, seeing it in person was still quite impactful.
