Now That You Know I Was Right, Why Are You All Apologizing Now?

"Su Nian, you've conspired with the demon clan, murdered fellow disciples, and the evidence is conclusive. Yet you still refuse to repent! For the sake of your contributions to the sect, we...

Chapter 85 It's time for us to return to Kyushu.

After leaving the battlefield of the Hundred Races War, Su Nian rushed back to the courtyard and pushed open the door to Su Liuli's room.

He seemed to see Su Liuli sitting by the bed, looking up at him in surprise, and calling out "Nian'er" in a puzzled voice.

But when he came to his senses, he realized that what he had just seen was just an illusion.

"Master...why are you doing this to yourself..." Su Nian lowered her arms and murmured softly.

In his mind, Qian Weiwei asked in confusion, "Isn't your master still in Kyushu? How could she be here?"

Su Nian was taken aback, but quickly understood why Qian Weiwei had asked such a question.

"Qian Weiwei".

"What's wrong?"

"In your understanding, who is my master?"

Qian Weiwei replied matter-of-factly, "Isn't it Li Baiyu from Quanxiu Bingxin Peak? She didn't come to the Demon Realm with you."

"I see, so that's how it is..."

Qian Weiwei frowned slightly. "Your reaction is a bit strange. Who else could it be but Li Baiyu?"

Su Nian shook her head.

He smiled with relief and said, "No, it's nothing, it's fine this way."

He turned around and looked up at the azure sky; no one knew what he was thinking at that moment.

A few days later, the Demon Emperor City was filled with the sounds of gongs and drums, and firecrackers.

The mansion of the Phantom Demon Clan was adorned with festive red lanterns, and a long red carpet stretched from the main hall to the front gate. The courtyard was filled with banquets and seats for invited distinguished guests.

This is the wedding of the princess of the Illusion Demon Clan and Su Nian, and almost all the high-ranking members of the Demon Clan have gathered here.

They drank and chatted, raising their glasses in celebration, sharing the joy of the moment.

In one of the inconspicuous corners sat two demons with golden and silver horns on their heads.

Yun Feifan lowered his voice and said to Jiang Yuxing, "Old Jiang, you're not fully recovered yet. Do you really think we can sneak in like this and take Su away?"

Jiang Yuxing suppressed the pain in his chest, gripped his wine glass, and whispered, "Su boy is human, he absolutely cannot marry that Illusion Demon Princess today! If he really marries into the Demon Sect, his life will be ruined!"

"Um... but this place is full of demons. I'm afraid the two of us alone won't be enough, right?"

Jiang Yuxing also knew that Yun Feifan was right.

But he wanted to give it a try.

He couldn't just stand by and watch Su Nian marry into the Demonic Sect!

In the bride's boudoir, Qian Shudie had her heavy makeup applied by her maids.

The red eyeshadow and pink lipstick made her already fair cheeks even more radiant. Her slightly upturned red lips and sparkling eyes filled her face with an alluring charm.

She wore a magnificent phoenix coronet and embroidered robe, held a gold-embroidered brocade handkerchief, and smiled as she looked at herself in the bronze mirror.

"Miss, you look so beautiful today. When the young master sees you later, he'll definitely be completely captivated by you," the maid teased, looking at the exquisite Qian Shudie.

Qian Shudie glared at the maid with a smile, "You're so talkative!"

"Hehe, I was just telling the truth," the maid said with a smile.

Qian Shudie did not refute.

She simply sat there quietly, gazing at her heavily made-up self in the bronze mirror, her heart filled with mixed emotions.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew past the window, shaking the straight-lattice window.

Qian Shudie turned to look out the window, slightly lost in thought.

Then, she said softly to the maids, "You may all leave now. I'll be by myself for a while."

"Yes, Your Highness."

After the maids had completely left, a figure appeared in Qian Shudie's boudoir.

Su Nian stood behind Qian Shudie, and through the bronze mirror, Qian Shudie saw Su Nian's hesitant expression.

He seemed to have something to say, but after several attempts, he couldn't get the words out.

Qian Shudie smiled and said, "Help me comb my hair, Brother Su Nian?"

Su Nian remained silent, picked up a comb, and began to tidy Qian Shudie's hair.

Qian Shudie's hair was very soft and smooth; as she brushed her fingers through it, a faint fragrance wafted through the air.

Qian Shudie closed her eyes, quietly enjoying the peace of the moment.

Su Nian remained silent as well, carefully tidying up Qian Shudie's appearance until finally he picked up a hairpin and secured Qian Shudie's long hair.

After an unknown amount of time, the silence was broken by Qian Shudie's words.

Will we ever meet again, Brother Su Nian?

Su Nian remained silent and nodded.

"Perhaps."

Qian Shudie smiled slightly. "Really? You really will come looking for me again?"

Su Nian did not answer.

Qian Shudie understood something. Her hand, hidden beneath her wedding robe, gripped the hem of her garment, and a tear rolled down her cheek. "If I hadn't been born in the Demon Realm, but in the Nine Provinces, then... would there still be a future for us?"

Su Nian sighed softly, "Shu Die, I'm sorry... There are no 'what ifs' in this world. Humans are humans, and demons are demons. We are born different species. I still have many unfinished missions on my shoulders. If I were to marry you today, it would disrupt many of my plans."

“I see…” Qian Shudie wiped away the tears on her face and forced a smile. “I understand. You will eventually have to return to Kyushu. Marrying me will make you lose your foothold in Kyushu.”

"I'm sorry... humans and demons are incompatible, I hope you can understand that."

"Yes, I understand."

After wiping away her tears, Qian Shudie stood up. Her eyes were red, but she still smiled at Su Nian. "You are destined for great things, how could I hold you back? Go... leave here quickly before they find out you're missing."

Su Nian remained silent.
