Chapter 240 Auction Unexpected Event (2/2)

The sea ghost floated to the door, and after channeling my mental energy to open the door, I saw another sea ghost standing at the doorway.

The two sea ghosts stood at the door and talked for a while before the sea ghost serving Gu Xi closed the door.

Seeing it drifting towards her, Gu Xi guessed that something must have happened outside, so she asked as it approached, "What happened?"

The Sea Ghost replied apologetically, "Our most honored guest, we are very sorry, but several guests have encountered accidents, so this auction has to be cancelled. To compensate you for your losses, the Sea Ghost clan will offer you a 50% discount on future transaction fees."

The sea ghost was almost in tears, really. It felt like it had finally met the legendary person and was looking forward to earning some gold coins, but then this unexpected thing happened.

Not only was Hai Youling upset, but Gu Xi was too. She was waiting to take pictures of the space to go back and store the fish, and she hadn't bought a single item from her shopping list yet, so it was hard to say what would happen when she got back.

Since no one was willing, Gu Xi felt there was still room for negotiation. So Gu Xi beckoned and called Hai Youling over.

"In that case, you don't want to organize this event for nothing, and I don't want to make this trip for nothing either. Go find the historical transaction prices of today's auction items, and calculate based on the lowest transaction price. I'll buy them all."

Upon hearing this, the sea ghost flickered slightly and replied seriously, "I cannot decide. I will go and call the person in charge."

Gu Xi nodded, telling it to go and come back quickly.

The sea ghost hurriedly floated out of the room to find the person in charge of today's auction. After waiting for about half an hour, it returned with the person in charge.

The person in charge of Sea Ghost was already in a bind due to the unexpected incident. Now that a customer is willing to buy everything, they naturally have to process it quickly.

Of course, this speed doesn't mean rushing over after hearing the news without any preparation. Rather, it means accurately recording the price information for all the auction items on the board before arriving.

The person in charge of the Sea Ghost told the Sea Ghost to stand aside and watch, while it took out a board and handed it to Gu Xi.

"My most distinguished guest, this is the historical price of the item you requested."

Gu Xi took the board and heard the person in charge of the Sea Ghost continue, "But you want to buy it at the lowest historical price, which is too low! How about the second lowest historical price? You should know that this auction includes a space with full water area, which is not common."

Gu Xi came here specifically for this; how could she not know? She searched for a long time before finding a space entirely filled with water. However, she couldn't let the Sea Ghost's manager know her purpose, otherwise it would definitely try to raise the price.

Gu Xi calmly replied, "That's not how it works. You should have already checked my auction records, so you know my style of bidding. There are 21 items in total for this auction, 3 of which are purely decorative. According to my plan, I originally didn't want these items."

Gu Xi wasn't lying. The decorations were expensive and useless; nobody would like them. She had no choice but to buy them and then put them up for auction. Hmm… she could probably also learn about the preferences of some deep-sea creatures while she was at it.

"Besides, even the all-water space isn't a customized space. The price I'm giving you is to buy everything, even those few items I didn't plan to include. If you sell everything and get the bonus for this job, you won't lose out, right?"

She hadn't attended ten auctions for nothing; she had subtly inquired about everything. The Sea Ghost, who worked at the auction, earned her income solely from customer spending, tips, and a commission from auction fees.

In other words, if this auction is canceled, these sea ghosts will have wasted their time. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
