Being rejected was understandable; she had only made the request to try it out. Since it refused, she would have to try other methods to obtain the information.

Gu Xi let the person in charge of the Sea Ghost leave first. After it drifted away, she immediately summoned the Sea Ghost over.

"Take the gold coins I gave you before. In addition to helping me prepare the items for auction, please also check out the situation outside."

After saying that, Gu Xi took out five gold coins and placed them in front of Hai Youling, but Hai Youling did not immediately put them away.

"For extremely distinguished guests, news that complies with the auction rules and does not harm the interests of the Sea Ghost Clan is acceptable."

Its meaning is very clear: it means that it will not be a spy.

Gu Xi shook his head and said, "You misunderstood. I didn't ask you to listen to any inside information. I just wanted you to help me see what symptoms those poisoned deep-sea creatures had, and whether the symptoms were different for different deep-sea creatures."

Then she used the same excuse she had used with the person in charge of the Sea Ghost, saying, "I'm also worried about encountering the same problem. It's good to take precautions, right?"

Hai Youling thought about it and felt that what she said made a lot of sense, so she agreed to help her go and take a look.

“My most distinguished guest, I can help you take a look, but we also have a rule that you need to leave as soon as possible after the auction ends.”

"Wasn't the auction canceled? Wasn't the person in charge busy with something? So I should have plenty of time to stay here. Don't worry, I'll leave before the person in charge finishes dealing with things."

Seeing that Gu Xidu was following the rules, Hai Youling was finally relieved. She then floated out of the VIP room to check on the situation with the person in charge of Hai Youling.

Gu Xi couldn't concentrate on reading "The New World" even while indoors, so she simply compared the lowest price of the auction items with the price offered by the purchasing agent.

She had only glanced at the historical low price earlier, but now, upon closer inspection, she realized that the lowest bids for some items were actually quite low.

Especially the water space she wanted to buy. If it were a normal auction, she estimated that this space would cost at least 800 gold coins, or even over 1,000 gold coins. But now she bought it for only 680 gold coins.

She really hit the jackpot this time!

This great bargain put Gu Xi in a good mood, so much so that the deep-sea creature poisoning incident didn't alarm her too much.

After browsing all the auction items, Gu Xi leaned back on the sofa and waited. Not long after, Hai Youling returned.

Seeing it come in, Gu Xi asked, "How is the situation?"

The sea ghost gleamed dimly, clearly much more anxious than before.

"Our most distinguished guest is in bad shape. The severely injured deep-sea creature has fainted, and their skin is rapidly festering, which even spiritual energy cannot heal, as if something is blocking their spiritual power."

After listening, Gu Xi frowned slightly and continued to ask, "Do all deep-sea creatures have the same symptoms?"

"They're all the same, except that the deep-sea race, with their higher mental strength, have a stronger resistance to poison."

Gu Xi nodded, noticing that its light had dimmed to almost black. It was the first time she'd seen such light on a sea ghost, so she wasn't surprised and asked, "Has something happened to the sea ghost?"

"Yes, those half-conscious deep-sea creatures are demanding compensation from the Sea Ghost for their losses."

Sure enough, this kind of thing exists in every race!
