Chapter 277 Ariel, the Skeleton Deep Sea Clan (2/2)

"Pfft! I'm done watching, I'm going out now~" Flamescale's initial excitement came and went quickly. When it realized that this sea monster wasn't powerful at all, it lost most of its interest in it.

Now that I see it practicing walking here, I've lost all interest.

Seeing its impatient look, Gu Xi sent it out first.

Flame Scale swayed out of the space, but returned after only a few dozen seconds.

Seeing its distraught appearance, Gu Xi asked, "What's wrong? Why did you come back?"

"Puff~ Whoosh! A red light has appeared outside!"

Gu Xi paused, suddenly finding these words somewhat difficult to understand. Several seconds later, she realized it was the light of the Crimson Gaze. Now that all the powerful fish on the ship were inside the space, and there were no powerful fish guarding the outside, it was normal for it to attract hostility.

She hadn't encountered an attack in so long that she had almost forgotten about it.

"There's an enemy attack. Go out and hold the line. We'll be right there," Gu Xi commanded methodically.

Flamescale, Ais, and the octopus all left the space, while the little chubby balls looked back at the mermaid with reluctance as they returned to the ship.

Gu Xi removed the mermaid's control ring, letting it stay there to practice walking until it got used to it before coming out, while she herself turned and left the space.

The moment she emerged, a blinding red light flashed overhead. Gu Xi quickly climbed to the third-floor viewing platform and walked towards Ai Si and Yan Lin.

The sea breeze howled, carrying a salty smell. The calm sea was completely still; to the naked eye, it would be impossible to detect an enemy attack. But the light overhead was evidence of danger.

"What's going on? How could you be attacked by the enemy here?" Gu Xi said, while casually scanning the distant sea with her spiritual power. Suddenly, her eyes widened and her body stiffened slightly.

You wouldn't believe it until you see it, and what you find is astonishing.

"Could the enemy be a skeletal sea monster?"

In the distant ocean, a group of strange creatures are slowly moving.

These things were all skeletons, their skeletons looking as if they had been soaked in asphalt, with a suspicious black liquid flowing from them.

Although they are completely different in appearance and size, they share a common feature: their empty eye sockets flicker with eerie blue flames. In addition, their exoskeletons are as sharp as swords, as if they could easily cut through a huge rock.

"Wait a minute! Some of the bones don't look like sea monsters, so what are they?"

"Plop! This isn't a sea monster, it must be a deep-sea creature." Ais stared seriously into the distance, answering Gu Xi's question.

Suddenly, in the distant ocean, a live sea beast approached the skeletons, releasing its spiritual power in an attempt to stop them.

However, the skeletons remained unmoved and pressed forward, their eerie blue flames flickering even more intensely in their eye sockets.

"That sea monster is in danger!" Gu Xi shouted.

As the distance between them closed, the skeleton launched the first attack on the sea monster.

A skeletal deep-sea creature leaped high into the air, its sharp finger bones flashing through the air as it stabbed towards the eye of a sea beast.

The sea monster twisted its body in terror, trying to avoid the attack, but the skeleton deep-sea creature was extremely fast, and its finger bones still managed to slash the sea monster's eyelids.

Another skeleton deep-sea creature charged at a massive sea monster, its jaws bristling with sharp teeth as it bit down hard on the monster's side.

The sea monster's scales were easily torn open, and blood gushed out instantly. The skeleton deep-sea creature's teeth gripped the sea monster's flesh tightly, refusing to let go no matter how much the sea monster struggled, while eerie blue flames flickered wildly in its eye sockets.

Gu Xi couldn't bear to watch what happened next, and she instinctively closed her eyes.

Just as Gu Xi thought the skeleton was about to end the sea monster's life, Ai Si suddenly moved. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
