Chapter 298 Exploration (2/2)

"Whoosh! That's such a violent way to open the door! Couldn't you be a little more polite?"

Flame Scale couldn't help but be surprised.

Lingling chimed in from the side, saying that this totem creature was a real spendthrift.

Although the passage has been opened, no one knows what dangers lurk inside.

Gu Xize looked at the passageway with a wary expression.

"Don't let your guard down yet, let's go in and take a look slowly."

As she spoke, she cautiously stepped into the passageway.

Ai Si followed closely behind, while Ling Ling and Yan Lin exchanged a glance, nodded, and followed Gu Xi into the passage.

A faint mist filled the passage, the path was slippery underfoot, and the surrounding walls emitted a weak glow, barely illuminating the way forward.

Everyone walked forward in silence.

Gu Xi cautiously scouted ahead. Ai Si followed closely behind, vigilantly observing their surroundings. Yan Lin and Ling Ling also dared not let their guard down for a moment, remaining alert.

As they walked, a beam of energy suddenly appeared ahead, moving as fast as lightning and swiftly cutting through the passage.

Gu Xi and the fish were quick-witted and instinctively avoided the area.

Subsequently, such energy would appear from time to time, sometimes flying overhead, sometimes brushing past.

But everyone avoided it. Gradually, they adapted to the situation and continued walking silently forward. After walking for an unknown amount of time, they finally saw the light at the end of the passage.

Gu Xi quickened her pace and was the first to walk out of the passage.

After exiting the passage, a wide main road came into view.

The main road was very flat, with exquisite carvings on both sides, and the style of those carvings was very similar to the artworks at the auction.

If we dismantle all these things, we can definitely sell them for a lot of gold coins.

Gu Xi wouldn't do something so barbaric and immoral. She could accept taking the treasures inside, but she wasn't so immoral as to destroy the house.

Gu Xi withdrew her gaze and looked towards the end of the main road.

At the end of the main road, a magnificent building seemed to be faintly visible.

Gu Xi led everyone quickly toward the magnificent building, and with each step closer, the building's outline became clearer.

This is a tall and magnificent main hall, but the doors are tightly closed.

The palace gates appear to be carved from the skeleton of some enormous sea beast, radiating a cold, eerie glow.

The surrounding seawater was blocked by some kind of energy, and those deep blue silks shimmered with spots of light under the dim light of the hall.

Tiny bubbles kept rising from some of the floating solids, slowly ascending towards the main hall.

Some luminous creatures swam in the seawater near the main hall, their light flickering.

"Pfft? How do I get in?"

Gu Xi stepped forward and carefully examined the palace door. She felt around the door frame and suddenly found a slightly dented pit on the right side of the door.

Upon seeing the size of the groove, she couldn't help but complain.

"Seriously? This is so cliché, they want gold coins again?!"

Hearing Gu Xi's voice, several fish scurried over, and sure enough, there were perfectly sized pits. One was on the wall, and the other was on the door.

Flamescale flicked its tail and said, "Whoosh! The owner of this place really loves gold coins!"

Lingling nodded repeatedly, and even the usually calm Aisi could vaguely see a hint of helplessness in her eyes.

But despite the complaints, we still have to go through the door.

So Gu Xi took out another gold coin and embedded it into the groove on the door.

Then, after the gold coins were put in, there was a slight "clattering" sound, and the palace door slowly opened a crack, allowing dazzling light to stream out.

Everyone turned their heads in unison. (This chapter has been finished. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
