Chapter 328 The Hall of Mirrors (2/2)

Since the fishmonger had said so, Flame Scale naturally had no choice but to shut up and then began to look around.

"Pfft? There's nothing here?"

"Of course there are! Aren't they on the wall?"

"Pfft! It's just a mirror! What's the big deal!"

Although Yanlin said that, he did not let his guard down at all and secretly went to the mirror to cause trouble.

Instead, she stayed close to Gu Xi Ai Si, just in case anything happened.

Indeed, although there was nothing in this space, the mirror in front of it was enough to attract the attention of everyone and the fish.

The mirror is a single piece directly attached to the wall, with textured edges that appear to flow slowly.

The mirror's surface wasn't completely smooth; it had some subtle bumps and dents. With the light emitted from a blue crystal on the ceiling, it created a dreamlike yet somewhat eerie atmosphere.

"Puff puff~ Something's weird."

Gu Xi nodded slightly, feeling even more cautious.

"Indeed, I just had the gold coins bounce around here at high speed, and now these mirrors are completely unharmed!"

"This place looks peaceful, but who knows what dangers might be lurking inside."

"Everyone must be careful."

Gu Xi cautiously surveyed her surroundings, but her efforts to probe were merely superficial and she was unable to take the initiative.

Gu Xi thought for a moment and said to Yan Lin, "Yan Lin, try setting off a ball of fire in front of a mirror."

Flame Scale responded, then condensed a ball of flame and launched it toward the mirror at the edge of the space.

The flames flew slowly forward, and as they approached the mirror, something strange happened.

The moment the flame touched the mirror, it did not extinguish or reflect back as expected. Instead, it seemed to be absorbed by the mirror, and red light waves rippled across the surface, rapidly spreading outwards.

Immediately afterwards, these red lights converged in other parts of the mirror, and then shot out several more flames in different directions.

Some of the flames struck the nearby mirrors, triggering a chain reaction. Mirrors throughout the room began to shimmer and seemed to be transferring energy to each other, forming a complex network of light and flames.

In a short period of time, the space was no longer cold, but filled with warmth.

Seeing the flames dancing wildly more and more, Gu Xi's eyes darkened, and he immediately gave instructions to Ai Si.

"Ais, extinguish all the ejected flames. Be careful not to touch the mirror."

Ais immediately did as instructed, freezing the ejected flames in an instant.

The frozen flames fell to the ground, shattering crisply in the air.

Seeing this, Gu Xi muttered to himself, "Strange, why didn't the gold coin glow like a flame?"

When Yan Lin heard Gu Xi say that, his eyes lit up immediately.

"Whoosh! Yeah, if only gold coins could be produced like this!"

"Wait! You said, production?!"

Flame Scale nodded in confusion.

"Yes, it's production!"

Gu Xi quickly retracted his thoughts and said to the two fish, "It seems that this mirror can only imitate things made of spiritual energy. The gold coin just now was only wrapped with a trace of spiritual energy; it was not spiritual energy itself."

"Plop plop~ You'll know once you try it."

After saying that, Ai Si took out a bag of fish food from her stomach.

"Plop plop~ If it's spiritual energy, it will produce a lot of fish food. If it's not spiritual energy, the fish food will eventually come back to your hand."

Before Gu Xi could say anything, she saw Ai Si throw fish food onto the mirror. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
