Survival, stockpiling, no CP, various fish, raft upgrades, ocean exploration. Starting with just a fishing rod, all supplies depend on fishing?
Selected as a "Human Pioneer" to enter ...
Gu Xize went to the third floor, trying to find his way. However, the sharks walked and walked, for a long time, still circling in the white mist.
"What's going on?"
"Could they be lost?"
Gu Xi felt as if a heavy stone was pressing down on her heart.
Suddenly she remembered the sea map she had obtained earlier. She took the sea map out of her backpack.
The game does not provide players with any means of navigation; since entering the game, most people have relied on drifting to get around.
Previously, Gu Xi had ventured into calm waters and only managed to escape with the help of sharks pulling her boat. Now, she has mistakenly entered this foggy sea, where the sharks seem to have lost their way as well.
The only tool she can use to find her way now is this sea map.
Gu Xi opened the sea map to check her location.
After leaving the burned island, she followed the deep-sea area marked on the sea map.
Based on the iso-depth markings on the sea map, she should be located at the edge of the ocean at a depth of 1,000 meters.
The map shows that if she keeps going east, she can reach deeper waters.
With a map, she at least knew which direction to go.
Gu Xi then ordered the sharks to turn the ship around and head east.
After the sharks had traveled for about half an hour, Gu Xi noticed that the white fog was getting thicker and thicker. The plantation, which was clearly visible from the third floor, was now becoming blurry.
Should we continue?
Gu Xi hesitated.
Although the sea map showed that this was to the east, the increasingly thick white fog was indeed somewhat disorienting.
After a moment's thought, she decided to move on.
If she stopped here, she would find herself even more unsure of which direction to go.
Under Gu Xi's command, the sharks pulled the boat eastward for another half hour.
The previously somewhat blurry planting houses are now completely obscured.
The further east she went, the thicker the white fog became, and she had no idea when she would be able to escape this mist.
Wandering in this misty sea, there's a sense of being stripped of one's vision, a feeling that makes one very uneasy.
An uneasy mind is prone to anxiety and restlessness.
This anxiety wasn't just present in her; even the sharks started to get restless.
Their speed in pulling the boat slowed down significantly.
This is not a good sign.
To ease the fish's anxiety, Gu Xi would occasionally have the sharks stop and feed them a little food.
She originally just tried it out, but she didn't expect that this method would actually work.
The sharks, having eaten the fish food, became excited again and began to pull the small boat forward.
And so it went on until the light began to dim.
Bang--
A tremendous crash was heard.
"What did I bump into?" Gu Xi was startled and quickly ran to the source of the sound to check.
Due to the extremely dense fog, her current visibility was only one meter. Even though she was a little anxious, she had to be careful where she stepped.
She cautiously approached the source of the sound, and soon she understood what had happened.
Her boat crashed into an island.
This must be an island!
Because of the limited visibility, she wasn't sure, but if it could withstand the impact of a ship, it must be an island.
Gu Xi checked the time on her bracelet; it was now 5:50 PM on the 23rd.
The island will sink at six o'clock, in other words, the island she hit will disappear in ten minutes.
She's so lucky, really!
If she had arrived ten minutes later, she would have had no idea an island had appeared there. (This chapter has been completed. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
