Chapter 8 Sharks at Work, Guarding the Raft and Waiting for the Box (2/2)

After deftly tossing the three wooden crates into her backpack, Gu Xi returned to the battlefield. She and Shark continued this activity until the two-hour event ended, accumulating another 18 wooden crates. One of them was even an exquisitely crafted crate.

After washing her hands as usual, Gu Xi opened the exquisite wooden box and found six items, but this time there were no blueprints.

Women's pajamas *1, tableware set *1, stainless steel basin *1, 1000g lotus root starch *1, hot and sour rice noodles five-pack *1, potting soil *3.

She found the potting soil she couldn't find yesterday, and with her current stock, she could make five planting boxes if she used them all.

By then, she'll be a big shot with five planting boxes as her assets. As long as she plants them all, her food problem will be solved.

Other items are also good. For example, with the stainless steel basin, she can collect the water from washing her hands and reuse it. She is grateful to her grandfather for teaching her to save water.

The cutlery set is also made of stainless steel and includes a bowl, a pair of chopsticks, a spoon and a fork.

Although she had women's pajamas, she didn't plan to change out of her clothes for the time being. After all, she had no laundry supplies, nowhere to sleep, and no place to shower, so changing clothes would be pointless. For the first time, she realized how troublesome it was to change clothes.

With the event concluded, Gu Xi's workday also came to an end. Having gathered so many materials, she planned to continue expanding the raft.

She currently has 140 bundles of timber, and with an additional 28 nails, she can expand the raft to 19 square meters.

If the raft is 4x5, then one piece is missing; if it's 3x6, then one piece of material will be left over. She could use this leftover material to build two planting boxes. Unfortunately, she has the planting boxes, but no seeds to plant.

After weighing the options, Gu Xi decided to expand the raft to a size of 3*6.

Opening the building interface, Gu Xi quickly laid out the raft blocks according to her idea, and then she took a hammer and started banging and tapping.

After a lot of work, the raft's area was greatly expanded, and its attributes in all aspects were greatly improved.

Area: 18

Wave resistance: 18

Condition: 100% (1800/1800)

The raft is very stable now, and even if she lies on it to sleep, turning over is not a problem at all.

To prevent Gu Xi from tossing and turning in his sleep at night, she placed two exquisite wooden boxes horizontally on either side of the 3-meter-wide raft. The boxes occupied 1 meter of the raft, leaving 2 meters of width for Gu Xi to roll around in.

Gu Xi eagerly lay down on the raft, stretching herself out in a "big" shape. The spacious raft allowed her to stretch out completely. Looking up at the blue and white sky, she propped herself up and saw the apple trees that hadn't yet been moved.

After a day of growth, the apple tree had grown to a trunk over a meter tall. Its leaves grew lush and abundant, stretching across the sky and blocking some of the sunlight. Gu Xi looked at its dappled reflection, turned around, and placed her head in the shade; the intense heat above her instantly subsided.

"Ah, this is like having the sky as a blanket and a raft as a bed, so leisurely and carefree."

Clang—

Just as she was relaxing, a crashing sound entered Gu Xi's ears, and she sat up abruptly.

Gu Xi: What is that?

"squeak--"

Suddenly, the sound turned into the friction of a long string.

Gu Xi used her hearing to pinpoint the source of the sound, realizing it was coming from the other side of the planting box. She quickly turned over and stood up, rushing to the source of the sound, only to find that a drifting wooden box had crashed into the raft. It was now being pulled and tugged by the current.

What's even more surprising is that it's actually an exquisite wooden box!

"Wow, it's like a man lying on a raft while a box crashes into the water. Just like the old saying 'waiting for a rabbit to run into a tree stump,' now we're waiting for a box to come from a raft. What incredible luck!"

"Let me see what wonderful treasures are here!" (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
