On April 24, 2042, everyone on Blue Star was suddenly teleported to an unknown place.
Everyone was horrified to find themselves on a single raft in the boundless ocean. Suddenly, an ethereal ...
As the group stepped into the shelter, the world before them was a stark contrast to the darkness of the abyss, bright and vibrant.
In the vast space, the buildings are arranged in a staggered manner, the stone-paved streets are clean and tidy, shops are lined up, and the crowds are bustling with people of all races, laughing and talking in a friendly manner.
Chen Ping, Gabriel, and Seraphin were speechless. This scene was as if they had returned from the abyss to the familiar core sea area.
People were not malicious; on the contrary, they were friendly and even greeted Lucifer warmly, as if he were an old friend.
Chen Ping sighed softly, "This is simply an oasis in the abyss. Who could have imagined that such a shelter could be built in such an environment?"
"Wow, this, this... this is practically no different from our life in the core sea area!" Seraphin exclaimed incredulously, his eyes wide as he looked around, afraid of missing any detail.
Gabriel nodded, her gaze sweeping across the crowd. She noticed that many people recognized Lucifer and nodded or smiled in greeting: "Lucifer, it seems you're quite popular in the Abyss."
Lucifer smiled and led them deeper in: "That place is just like Angelica's sanctuary. After all, I come to the Abyss to explore from time to time."
They always bring down supplies, so most of the people in the shelter know each other to some extent.
Upon hearing this, Seraphim suddenly realized and said, "Oh, no wonder you bought so many supplies in Heart City, Lucifer, so they were meant to be delivered here."
Lucifer nodded and smiled, "That's right. Ever since I learned that Angelica built a sanctuary in the abyss, I've brought down a lot of supplies every time I come down. It's just a matter of some gold coins anyway."
As they traveled, they attracted many glances, but none with malice; rather, they were drawn by curiosity and friendliness. Until they arrived at the center of the asylum, before a magnificent building, where the guards at the entrance respectfully greeted Lucifer.
"Welcome, Lord Lucifer. You've come down again. Are you here to see Lady Angelica?"
Lucifer nodded: "Yes, is Angelica here?"
The guard looked slightly embarrassed and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry, Lady Angelica hasn't returned to the sanctuary for quite some time, almost several hundred years, hasn't she? We guess she might be at a lower level of the Redemption."
Everyone had expected this, but they weren't too disappointed.
Lucifer: "Hmm, it seems he really did go down there. Sigh, I wonder how long we'll have to search for him now."
Serafin: "Then let's keep looking. It's been so long since I've seen my older sister. I wonder how she's doing now?"
Gabriel nodded as well. She was worried too. After all, she was naturally concerned after learning that the older sister in Heaven was a fake.
Lucifer nodded and said, "Then let's continue. Judging from this situation, Angelica may have already run to the abyss below the tenth level."
......
The four left the first level of shelter, with Lucifer leading the way, traversing the complex paths of the abyss. The differences between each level increased, the pressure of the rules intensified, and the environment became increasingly harsh.
Lucifer was familiar with the lower levels, and he knew they would soon arrive at the second level of the shelter. Although not as prosperous as the first level, it was still orderly, and the people in the shelter were familiar with Lucifer and gave him a warm welcome.
Upon inquiry, Angelica remained unavailable; she appeared to have ventured deeper into the lower levels. After a brief rest, the group continued their journey, using the shelters on each level as temporary bases and information gathering points.
Within the shelter, Angelica's whereabouts remained a mystery. Each floor of the shelter bore only traces of her presence, yet she was nowhere to be found. Undeterred, the group believed that if they continued to descend, they would eventually encounter Angelica.
Thus, they traversed through layers, each with its own unique scenery, and the appearance of the shelter changed accordingly. From the dark stone forest on the third layer to the fiery domain on the fourth layer, and the frozen tundra on the fifth layer, each place reflected their deeper understanding of the abyss.
Soon, they arrived at the tenth level, a shelter that was even more mysterious and solemn than the ones below. The stone buildings, weathered by time, seemed to tell the story of the abyss.
Lucifer led Chen Ping, Gabriel, and Seraphim inside. The guards at the entrance of the shelter greeted Lucifer respectfully, saying, "Lord Lucifer, you have graced us with your presence once again. Are you here to see Lady Angelica this time?"
Lucifer nodded, a premonition in his heart: "Yes, is Angelica here?"
The guard shook his head regretfully and said, "Lady Angelica has not returned for a long time, and may have explored deeper into the world. The latest information is what she said when she left 632 years ago: Lady Angelica said that she wanted to continue building the shelter."
Lucifer: "It seems we have no choice but to continue searching for Angelica below the tenth floor; she might be deeper down there."
The group nodded, then bid farewell to the guards again and continued on their way down.
......
On the way, Lucifer said, "Below the tenth floor, there are beings at the level of creator gods. Moreover, those beings are not afraid of me, so we may encounter battles later, and we should be prepared."
Serafin: "Don't worry, everyone here has been through countless wars."
Gabriel nodded. Although life in the Heart of the God Island was more comfortable, her essence as a battle angel remained unchanged.
Chen Ping said it didn't matter, he's thick-skinned.
Chatting as they traveled, the four of them finally arrived at the entrance to the eleventh floor. Unlike the previous entrances, this one was guarded by soldiers dressed in the same clothes as those in the shelter.
It was obvious that they were people from the shelter, which puzzled Lucifer, as there had never been any guards before.
Lucifer: "Strange, there was no guardian before. Let's go ask around and see if this is Angelica's arrangement?"
Chen Ping nodded to Gabriel and Seraphim, then walked over.
Guard: "Huh? Who is it? Stop!"
The dozen or so guards instantly assumed fighting stances, watching the group of people walking towards them warily.
After Lucifer brought Chen Ping and the others over, the leading guard finally saw what Lucifer looked like and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
Guard: "Lord Lucifer?"
Lucifer: "Yes, it's me."
After confirming it was Lucifer, the guards put away their weapons, and the lead guard said, "I'm sorry, Lord Lucifer, we didn't know it was you."
Lucifer shook his head, then asked suspiciously, "Are you here on Angelica's orders?"
The guard nodded and replied, "That's right, Lady Angelica ordered us to stay here and prevent the Fallen Ones from coming up from below."
