By accident, Qiao Wanwan got entangled with a powerful man who had come back to life from death and was disabled.
Qiao Wanwan: "Can't you see I'm a cripple?"
The powerfu...
Their eyes met, but their feelings were not the same as before!
Qiao Wanwan moved her lips, wanting to say something, but her throat felt like it was blocked by something, and she couldn't say anything.
She turned around blankly, walked stiffly out of the private room, and stiffly pressed the elevator button.
"Qiao Wanwan!" Zhan Yin caught up with her. "Are you alright?"
The girl seemed to have been paralyzed, her unfocused eyes fixed on the elevator door in front of her, motionless.
"Qiao Wanwan, don't scare me!" Zhan Yin gripped her shoulders and forcefully turned her around. "Are you alright?"
Looking at the anxious face in front of her, Qiao Wanwan finally managed to pull herself back to her senses. The next second, tears welled up and fell heavily to the ground!
Zhan Yin panicked completely, "Don't cry, don't scare me, I'm terrible at comforting women!"
With a "ding," the elevator doors opened, and Qiao Wanwan hurriedly pushed Zhan Yin's hand away and rushed into the elevator!
"Qiao Wanwan!" Zhan Yin was a beat too slow and missed getting into the elevator, so he pressed the elevator button anxiously.
It started raining outside at some point, and as if she had been noticed, Qiao Wanwan plunged into the rain and walked aimlessly forward.
The torrential rain slid down her face and flowed into her mouth; it was impossible to tell whether it was water or tears.
The rain quickly soaked her body, making her shiver with cold, but even so, she felt that her heart was colder than her body!
"Qiao Wanwan!" Zhan Yin stopped the car in front of her, got out, and grabbed her. "Are you crazy? Don't you care about your own body? Get in the car!"
"Leave me alone..." Qiao Wanwan tried to push his hand away, but failed. Finally, she broke down hysterically, crying out in despair, "Let go of me! I want to be alone!"
Zhan Yin was stunned.
She had seen many sides of Qiao Wanwan—arrogant, stubborn—but this was the first time she had seen her lose control of her emotions.
"Qiao Wanwan, are you alright? Don't scare me."
"I'm fine." Qiao Wanwan pushed him away with difficulty, trying to calm herself down. "Zhan Yin, I'm feeling very confused right now. I just want to be alone. Can you grant my request?"
"Okay." Zhan Yin nodded subconsciously. "I promise you, don't be angry or sad."
"Thank you." Qiao Wanwan turned around and continued walking forward.
Zhan Yin got into the car, wiped the rain off his face, and began to fawn over her, quietly following behind her.
He didn't know where Qiao Wanwan was going. Judging from the route she was taking, perhaps even she herself didn't know where she was going.
The girl's figure in the rain was so frail that it seemed as if a gust of wind could blow her away, which inexplicably evoked pity in me.
Zhan Yin wanted to get off the carriage countless times, but after hesitating for a while, he finally gave up.
Perhaps, as she said, she needs to calm down now.
Zhan Yin followed silently for over an hour, until finally at an intersection, the frail figure in the distance could no longer hold on and collapsed to the ground!
"Qiao Wanwan!"
......
"Wanwan, wake up, Qiao Wanwan!"
A familiar voice reached her ears, and Qiao Wanwan opened her eyes with difficulty, seeing an incomparably handsome face.
She smiled and said, "Zhan Jingting, you're back?"
"Yes, I'm back." Zhan Jingting looked at her with a half-smile. "Get up."
"Why are you getting up?" Qiao Wanwan was a little confused. "This is my bed, I want to sleep."
"This isn't your bed." The man's eyes gradually turned cold. "This is my bed, and it doesn't belong to you now."
Qiao Wanwan propped herself up and sat up. "Zhan Jingting, what are you saying?"
I've made myself very clear.
Just as Qiao Wanwan was about to speak, a voice suddenly came from outside the door.
She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a glamorous woman with big wavy hair and heavy makeup walking in on high heels. She snuggled intimately next to Zhan Jingting and kissed his thin lips directly on tiptoe!
"Ah!" Qiao Wanwan exclaimed, sitting up abruptly, only then realizing that she was dreaming.
"You're awake?" Zhan Yin, who was dozing on the sofa, was startled awake by her. He yawned, picked up his phone, glanced at it, and said, "It's already dawn, Qiao Wanwan. You had a high fever all night, and it just went down."
Qiao Wanwan gasped for breath, unable to come to her senses for a long time.
"How are you feeling now?" Zhan Yin got up and poured her a glass of warm water. "Drink up. The doctor said you should drink more water after you wake up."
"Thank you." Qiao Wanwan took the glass, drank most of it, and her wildly beating heart finally calmed down. "Zhan Yin, did you take care of me here all night?"
"Of course, I've never served anyone like this before."
"Thank you, Zhan Yin."
"There's no need for such formalities between us," Zhan Yin tentatively asked. "Qiao Wanwan, what are your plans to do about what happened last night?"
Qiao Wanwan's hand holding the water glass trembled. She lowered her eyes and said, "I don't know."
"See, I hit the nail on the head, didn't I? I told you, my uncle isn't that simple!" Zhan Yin said, exasperated. "And another thing, no offense, but why did you torture yourself by going out in the rain when something like this happened? You even fainted in the rain. If I hadn't secretly followed you, someone could have died, you know that?"
"Zhan Yin, thank you. I lost control of my emotions last night and didn't think things through. If it weren't for you, I don't know what would have happened. I owe you a huge favor."
"That's right, you owe me a life, remember to pay it back later."
Qiao Wanwan looked up at him, opened her mouth, but said nothing.
