The next morning, the sky was overcast, as if a downpour was about to break out at any moment.

Shangguan Wu slept soundly in Gu Yunzhen's arms until she naturally woke up. After having breakfast, her face was still beaming with a bright smile until the two of them entered the ward.

Her smile cracked instantly.

Jiang Yu quickly put down her teacup and said apologetically, "Fourth brother, fourth sister-in-law, Xiao Bao is afraid of thunder, and I was worried about him, so I went back first."

Gu Yunzhen said in a low voice, "Please go ahead, sister-in-law."

Jiang Yu took her bag and said as she left, "Fourth sister-in-law, I'll come see you again tomorrow."

Shangguan Wu told her, "Sister-in-law, I'll be discharged from the hospital tomorrow."

Jiang Yu was taken aback for a moment: "Oh, then I'll come pick you up from the hospital."

Gu Yunzhen declined calmly, saying, "No need, sister-in-law, let's go straight back to Changteng City."

Madam Qin looked at him in surprise: "Aren't you staying in the capital?"

Shangguan Wu looked at Gu Yunzhen in surprise, only to see Gu Yunzhen's thin lips slightly parted, uttering two words: "Not staying."

At that moment, a torrential downpour began outside the window.

The torrential rain was accompanied by lightning and thunder, which looked somewhat terrifying.

A black Maybach was parked in front of the pharmacy building.
