Little Sunflower suddenly cried out joyfully: "Husband! Husband!"

Shangguan Wu snapped out of her daze and tugged at its little yellow fur: "I'll buy you a husband tomorrow, so don't you dare try anything with my husband, understand?"

The little sunflower walked around the round table once, then fluttered its wings and flew to a flower stand.

Why are you flying so high?

Shangguan Wu stood up, walked over, and beckoned with her finger: "Come down, let's talk. Should I buy it for you tomorrow, or should I take you to pick out one or two husbands yourself?"

Little Sunflower: [Don't come any closer!]

Shangguan Wu's lips twitched.

Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her.

Shangguan Wu turned around and saw Gu Yunzhen walking in with a cane. She smiled and was about to go forward when she suddenly remembered the post. She immediately pursed her lips and stopped smiling.

"Why aren't you staying in your room? What are you doing out here?"

From the moment Gu Yunzhen entered the room, his gaze was fixed on her, so he noticed every change in her expression; she was still angry.

"Watering the flowers."

Gu Yunzhen said it subconsciously, then a hint of annoyance flashed in her eyes, and she added, "I came to call you for dinner, and to water the flowers while I was at it."

Shangguan Wu imagined him watering flowers while leaning on his cane, and her delicate eyebrows gradually furrowed.

"You go back first, I'll water the flowers."

After speaking sternly to him, she walked to the corner of the glass wall, picked up a watering can, and watered the flowers from left to right.

Hearing her tone, Gu Yunzhen not only didn't leave, but instead smiled faintly.

Seeing that she was standing still, Gu Yunzhen spoke again: "Madam?"

Hearing his deep voice behind her, Shangguan Wu felt as if many ants were crawling into her ears, making her extremely itchy.

She suppressed her joy, put down the watering can, and looked at the parrot on the flower stand: "Little Sunflower, I'll come and play with you again tomorrow."

She sensed something was off about him.

Little Sunflower called out again: "Come play, come play together!"

Shangguan Wu suddenly turned around, glared at it, and said, "If you call me again, I'll pluck all your fur off!"

Little Sunflower seemed to sense her anger, flew to a higher flower stand, turned its body around, and faced away from her.

Shangguan Wu gave a soft snort and left the flower room.

She quickly caught up with Gu Yunzhen.

He didn't say anything.

The streetlights cast long shadows of the two people, with parts of their shadows overlapping, making them look very intimate.

But in reality, she and he were just a contractual couple.

Their bodies had done the most intimate things, but their hearts had never truly merged.

Is it because she didn't try hard enough?

Shangguan Wu asked himself the question.

At this moment, Uncle Zhang came up and said, "Fourth Young Master, Fourth Young Madam, dinner is ready."

Gu Yunzhen gave a faint "hmm".

Shangguan Wu nodded to Uncle Zhang and followed him toward the dining room.

During the meal, she waited for him to speak first.

There happened to be prawns on the table, and Shangguan Wu would always glance at Gu Yunzhen when picking up food, wondering when he would peel prawns for her.

She waited until she finished eating, but he never spoke, nor did he offer her any more shrimp.

What happened to catering to their preferences?

"I'm done eating, please enjoy your meal."

Gu Yunzhen put down her chopsticks, wiped her mouth and hands, and walked towards the entrance of the dining room.
