Sophie's eyes widened in surprise.

"Oh, so that's how it is. So I really forgot a lot of things? What exactly happened? Heng-ge, tell me quickly, I'm so worried!" Sophie urged anxiously.

Qin Yiheng said, "It's alright. If you hadn't chased after me to Huaguo, I wouldn't have gone abroad again."

"Does Heng mean you went abroad for my sake?"

Sophie stared at Qin Yiheng in utter shock.

"Otherwise what?"

Qin Yiheng gave an ambiguous answer, then stood up and said, "Alright, you get some rest, I'll go out and buy you some food."

"Heng-ge, you don't need to do such a small thing. I'll call Tom and ask him to bring us some food."

Sophie smiled and picked up her phone to make a call.

Qin Yiheng looked at her and said calmly, "Are you sure you want to find him?"

Sophie felt uneasy under his gaze and wondered if she had said something wrong.

"Brother Heng..."

"It's okay. The doctor said that patients should relax so that they can recover faster. I'm just too worried about your health."

"Brother Heng, don't worry, I feel much better. Just looking at you makes me feel all better."

Qin Yiheng looked at her and said, "Why are you still standing there like a fool? You're all washed up, go out and eat."

"Oh," Sophie replied, and walked out of the restroom.

The aroma that wafted out of the lunchbox whetted her appetite.

After Sophie finished eating, Qin Yiheng stood up and said, "Since you're alright, I'll be going now. We'll keep in touch by phone later."

Sophie froze, startled. "Aren't you staying?"

"Heh, I'm being watched even when I go out to buy you food. I can't stand this kind of life." Qin Yiheng laughed sarcastically and strode out of the ward.

"Heng-ge, don't go!"

Sophie shouted, but Qin Yiheng did not return for a long time.

Sophie thought of the dream she had in the bathroom—no, perhaps it wasn't a dream, but a prophecy about the future.

Her godfather sent people to monitor Qin Yiheng's every move, wasn't that to prevent her from being with Qin Yiheng?

What does "godfather" mean?
