When Yi An heard the words "love expert," she quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

He leaned back on the sofa. "Emotional intelligence officer? What kind of profession is that?"

Seeing that he still seemed quite interested, Lin Hui grew anxious and shouted, "Brother An! Why don't you understand? This woman is clearly trying to get close to you on purpose; she has no good intentions."

Yi An showed no sign of nervousness. "Why are you approaching me? Is it because I cheated on her, or on someone else?"

He sat up straight. "Lin Hui, it's best not to say things carelessly."

"Brother An, I really didn't..."

Lin Hui was about to say something urgently, but Yi An interrupted her directly.

"Alright, I've heard everything you wanted to say. I have things to take care of at the company, so I'll be leaving now."

After saying that, he stood up and walked out.

Lin Hui could only helplessly watch his back, calling out to Brother An, but she couldn't get him to turn around.

She sat there helplessly, never expecting that Yi An wouldn't believe a single word of her confident search.

"Su Yan, what kind of drug did you give Brother An?!"

She clenched her fists so tightly that her sharp nails pierced her delicate skin and went deep into her flesh.

Lin Hui felt no pain at all, got up directly, and stormed out of the coffee shop.

The coffee shop is located downstairs from Yi'an Building.

Su Yan had just come downstairs to pick up her package and hadn't even gotten on the elevator when Lin Hui grabbed her fiercely.

Su Yan frowned and stared at her.

"what would you like?"

Lin Hui didn't say a word, grabbed her and walked towards the fire escape.

As soon as she entered, she slammed Su Yan against the wall without any politeness and shouted angrily, "Su Yan, don't think I don't know what you're up to!"

Su Yan's back slammed directly against the wall, causing her a sharp pain, and the package she was holding fell to the ground.

She looked up at Lin Hui coldly, "Are you crazy? Did you forget to take your meds before you left home? What kind of madness are you spouting here?"

Su Yan didn't want to have any more dealings with her, so she turned to leave.

But after taking only a couple of steps, he heard Lin Hui shout from behind, "Your real profession is a love detective, isn't it?"

Su Yan stopped abruptly, frowned, and turned to stare at her.

When Lin Hui saw her like this, her smugness practically spilled out of her face.

She looked at Su Yan with an arrogant expression. "What? I know your biggest secret now, are you scared?"

"You investigated me?"

Lin Hui laughed even harder in response to Su Yan's questioning tone.

"You approached Brother An with ill intentions, so can't I investigate you?"

Su Yan did her best to play along, asking, "So what do you want?"

Lin Hui assumed she had given in and immediately ordered smugly, "Get out of the company right now. I'll let bygones be bygones for what happened before, out of respect for Brother An."

Su Yan listened to her unusually magnanimous words, but didn't believe a single word of them.

"Does President Lin really think he can let me off so easily?"

Lin Hui sneered, "Dealing with you isn't worth dirtying my hands."

Su Yan smiled indifferently, "Then I'll really have to disappoint President Lin's good intentions. I won't leave the company, and I won't let Yi An go either."

Lin Hui immediately glared at him angrily and threatened, "Aren't you afraid I'll tell Brother An about this?"

Su Yan couldn't be happier for her to do that.

“Go ahead, but I’m afraid your brother An won’t believe a single word you say.”
