After playing an online game all night, he suddenly died and transmigrated into the game, becoming a famous villain.
At the very beginning, he confessed to the high-ranking duke's daughte...
Gwen remained expressionless upon hearing Earl Laureen's words.
But it was still clear from her constant nodding.
She was very satisfied with the Earl of Laureen's arrangements.
Aurelion stood to the side, blinking her eyes in confusion.
Wait, what just happened?
Mr. Victor is going to sleep in the same room as Ms. Gwen!?
And what's the meaning of that bigger bathtub?!
Aurelion desperately wanted to ask for details, but no one gave her the chance.
Because Victor had already nodded and politely responded to Earl Laureen:
"Then I thank the Earl for his arrangements."
Before the stunned Aurelion could speak, a servant came to her.
"Dear guests, please allow me to lead you to your rooms."
Aurelion blinked, and finally could only nod, her mind somewhat confused as she was led into the castle by the servants.
Vanilla followed steadily behind Aurelion.
At this moment, Earl Laureen also raised his head again and looked at Victor.
To be precise, he was looking at the neatly arranged demi-human guards.
Seeing so many demi-humans made him feel a bit awkward.
The knights were fine; their horses were put in the stables and given a dormitory to rest in.
But where should we put these demi-humans?
Should rooms be prepared for them as well?
Preparing a room for a demi-human is only possible if he's insane.
Before he could make a move, the masked demi-humans quickly dispersed.
In the blink of an eye, they transformed into several black shadows, scattering in all directions and disappearing without a trace.
The cat-eared guards flew to the trees to perch, while the dog-eared guards ventured deep into the forests and fields, concealing their forms and presence.
These demi-humans possess animal-like habits and physical structures, which means they never criticize their environment.
The nobles gasped in surprise at their swift departure.
Even Earl Laureen's eyes narrowed slightly, somewhat surprised by the speed of these demi-humans.
They disappeared without making a sound.
Unless you look closely, no one would notice that a cat-eared alien is hiding in the darkness of the night.
If this agility and quietness were used in assassination operations, these demi-humans would definitely perform better than humans.
Count Laureen, however, was even more curious as to why these demi-humans had suddenly scattered.
Just as he was wondering, he heard Viktor calmly say:
"I told them to find a place to rest on their own."
“They will regroup here tomorrow morning, Earl, so there is no need to worry.”
Count Laureen was surprised once again upon seeing this.
These demi-humans were more disciplined, even more self-disciplined, than the soldiers of a kingdom.
Is this really something that demi-humans can do?
Despite his amazement, Earl Laureen still felt a pang of regret.
What a pity.
No matter how outstanding you are.
They are, after all, only subhumans.
A beast is, after all, a beast.
They are incomparable to humans.
The fact that they didn't have to prepare rooms for these demi-humans brought a huge sense of relief to Laureen.
He stopped thinking about the demi-humans, smiled at everyone, and stretched out a hand towards the enormous castle:
"Everyone, please."
...
Aurelion was led by a servant through the vast castle.
The enormous castle was magnificent; although not as luxurious as a royal palace, it was still extremely opulent.
A red carpet covered the entire corridor, and the surrounding white lights shone brightly.
The vases stood one by one along the corridor, filled with all sorts of tangled flower petals.
Aurelion found the environment quite pleasant, which was enough to show that Earl Laureen had put a lot of thought into hosting them.
Although this was most likely an attempt to impress her grandfather,
Aurelion understood perfectly what these nobles were thinking.
As she passed a room, Aurelion paused slightly.
As if sensing something, she couldn't help but walk towards the room.
Soft light shone through the crack in the door, but a notice was hanging above the door.
Driven by intense curiosity, she stepped forward, and Aurelian turned her over.
But what came into view was a string of shocking red characters, as if it were a warning.
"No entry! Leave immediately!"
Aurelian looked at the notice on the door and felt a chill run down her spine.
So, she asked out of curiosity:
"Is there anything in this room...?"
Seeing Aurelian's reaction, the maid spoke very calmly.
"This is the lady's residence; she always rests here."
Madam? The Earl of Laureen's wife?
Why is the Earl of Laureen's wife staying in this forbidden room?
The servant seemed to sense Aurelion's confusion and spoke up again to explain:
"The lady prefers peace and quiet, so she specially hung up this sign to avoid being disturbed when she is resting."
The explanation was reasonable enough, and although Aurelion was still a little confused, she regained her composure.
After all, this is someone else's home, so it's best if she doesn't get too curious.
Just as she flipped the notice over and put it back on the doorplate.
