Chapter 383 Karin's Prison

A bright blue portal appeared out of nowhere, like a vortex, and materialized before the prison gates.

This prison is like a lonely castle, with towering steel walls standing on the earth.

A massive, mesh-like steel gate hangs atop the city wall, its deep, dark green emanating from within the castle.

The steel towers soar into the clouds, casting a somber shadow over the desolate and vast land.

An eerie green light emanated from the tower, constantly sweeping across the open ground and monitoring all outsiders.

This is Guantau Prison, the largest prison in Barlow County.

The criminals locked up here are people who are extremely feared by the outside world.

For example, those maniacs who kill senseless people, and arsonists who intentionally burn down banks.

There are even those madmen who devour their own kind like demons.

And these criminals cannot even be locked up in the deepest part of the prison.

A man in a black trench coat stepped out of the portal, followed closely by two young girls.

Even though it's daytime here, not a single ray of light can get into this prison.

When Aurelion first stepped into this land, the brief darkness caused her vision to blur.

After a short while, she looked around.

What place is this?

Aurelion was, after all, from the Empire, so it was normal that she had never seen the Kingdom's prison.

Fortunately, she had a native of the Kingdom by her side.

Priscilla surveyed her surroundings, her scarlet eyes shining brightly in the dim, hazy darkness:

"This is Guanta Jail in Barlow County, a place of exile used to hold the most dangerous criminals in the kingdom."

Aurelion found it strange; could this really be considered a prison?

She didn't notice at all.

But the next second, something even stranger happened.

A suspended skull slowly floated down from the shimmering green of the towering tower.

The skull's upper and lower jaws collided, making a sound like bones colliding.

The head was supported by a dark, ghostly flame, like a ghostly serpent descending from the sky.

A flying skull, placed in front of such a gloomy prison, does indeed look rather eerie.

Priscilla had been an undead before, so she didn't feel much when she saw the skulls floating down.

Aurelion wasn't so lucky; she stared at the skeleton and shuddered.

However... it seems barely acceptable.

After the last battle with Shulburn, her resilience is much better than before.

The skull circled in the air a few times before landing in front of Victor:

"You must be Mr. Victor."

"We have received your appointment information at the prison. Today, I, Karin, will be in charge of your tour."

Victor looked at it and nodded calmly.

The skull swayed in the air, then floated to Aurelion's side. After examining it closely, it exclaimed in surprise:

"Oh my goodness, is this Princess Aurelian?"

"I've heard that you are the granddaughter of Grand Duke Barlow. Please put in a good word for me in Grand Duke Barlow's ear."

It seemed to be so excited that its two upper and lower jaws were colliding rapidly with a "click-clack" sound.

Aurelion was somewhat at a loss for words, and could only manage a stiff smile and nod.

The ghostly green flame circled around her and then floated to Priscilla's side:

“Oh! Praise be to the god of death! Behold this poor little thing, Priscilla. I know your father; he was a revered count.”

"I didn't expect you to come too. It seems your father successfully pulled you back from the brink of death."

When her biological father was mentioned, Priscilla's mood immediately darkened.

His head was lowered, as if he was too heavy-hearted to look up because of his melancholy.

Then, a cold voice rang out in front of her:

"Have you finished talking nonsense?"

Karin immediately shut up, and even the sound of bones clashing disappeared.

Like the fleeting midday sun, Karin's attitude instantly became humble:

"I'm very sorry, Mr. Victor, but I've fallen into my habit of getting excited when I see living people again."

"As you can see, I will control my bad habits. Now, please follow me for the rest of the tour."

The three of them, along with Karin, entered the castle, passing through a land burning with eerie green flames.

Skeletons of all shapes and sizes roam the land, including some that look like dogs, crouching low and sniffing the streets.

It's like they're on patrol.

Soon, a tall rock building appeared before them.

The massive steel gates rose, and a faint green aura emanated from the building.

Like water overflowing from a cage, it swept over the three people's ankles.

In that instant, a chill ran down Aurelian's spine.

Just now, it felt as if a cold hand had mercilessly caressed her ankle.

She stomped her foot instinctively, only to find that it was just the fog on the ground causing the problem.

Aurelion let out a sigh of relief.

It seems she was overly nervous.

Priscilla felt a little damp and gave a helpless smile.

But as soon as they stepped inside, the musty smell, like frantically writhing worms, filled their nasal cavity.

Decay and dampness were almost intertwined, and the already oppressive atmosphere was even more like being covered with a layer of deathly silence.

Viktor frowned, and a faint breeze swirled around him, dispersing the overflowing aura and mist.
