Only My Law: I Cultivate Arcane Magic in the City

What would you do if you learned true magic?

Fang Yu, a sophomore in college, never expected that he would actually acquire a mage tower!

This is an urban magic "face-slapping" ...

Chapter 20 What Went Wrong?

Chapter 20 What Went Wrong?

Is this a demiplane?

Fang Yu couldn't help but be stunned. He had seen the description of the demiplane in the Introduction to the Magic Network before.

Demiplanes are not secondary planes with low energy levels, but small extra-dimensional spaces with their own rules. They do not exist in real space, but some demiplanes have connection points with the main plane or other secondary planes. If the exact frequencies of these demiplanes are known, plane channels can be established with them through corresponding magic arrays.

Some demiplanes are naturally formed, while others are created and shaped by the Archmage himself.

It turns out this is a demiplane, no wonder there are no stars in the sky.

There is not a single living creature to be seen here. Could it be that everyone has really left through the dimensional channel?

Fang Yu always felt that something was not right about this.

Under Professor Yorz's urging, Fang Yu did not have time to think too much and took Professor Yorz back to the central tower.

"It's strange that Professor Jorz hasn't realized that I come from another world until now. I haven't tried to hide it at all. As an intelligent life form, it's a bit too slow." Fang Yu thought to himself and rode his bike directly into the circular hall.

"Hurry, hurry! Go to the second floor quickly." Professor Jorz said impatiently.

Fang Yu stopped the car and spread his hands: "Professor Yoelz, first you have to tell me how to get to the second floor?"

Professor Jorz jumped twice in anger. "Of course, I'll activate the second-floor teleportation through the service desk, you ignorant apprentice!"

"You have level two authority?" Fang Yu's eyes lit up. As expected of an arcane life form created by a legendary great arcanist, his authority was indeed higher than that of a mere apprentice like himself.

Professor Yorz was silent for a few seconds. "What is your current level of authority?"

Fang Yu said confidently, "Of course it's level 22. My service desk only has the library and your paid Q&A. I don't see any other permissions."

The color of the crystal ball turned from orange to almost red. "Ahhhhhh! You lowly servant! No wonder you are so stupid and ignorant! This really makes me so angry! You are actually a servant with only the lowest authority!"

"It's over! It's over! Without the magic crystals, the great Professor Yoelz will be trapped here! Ah! I just received only 5 magic crystals. In 5 days, I will fall into a deep sleep again! It's over! It's all over!"

What the hell? So you don't even have any authority above you. So what's so awesome about you?

Besides, you're way too expensive to keep, aren't you? A 30-point diamond worth five thousand dollars is only enough to keep you awake for five days. Does that mean every day you live costs me a thousand dollars?

However, according to previous indications, Professor Jorz was probably answering questions for people 24 hours a day, spending three minutes on each question, and could earn 480 magic crystals a day.

But it seems that this guy doesn't have any savings at all. Except for the magic crystals used to maintain daily activities, all other diamonds should have been taken away by that Nasri.

Damn, it’s so fucking dark.

This Nasri should be hanged on the street lamp.

Fang Yu frowned. "Hey, who are you calling a servant? You boasted so much, saying a level 17 arcane mage is your assistant, but how come you don't even have such low authority?"

Professor Jorz jumped up, and a stream of white gas gushed out from the hole in the top of the ball, turning the entire crystal ball red. "Level 23 and 22 permissions are the permissions of a servant! I am a magic item! Magic items cannot be granted permissions! Foolish and ignorant servant!"

"I'm so angry! I'm so angry! Nasri, why didn't you take me with you when you left? How could you abandon your Professor Jorz?"

Is level 22 only the authority of servants?

"Always think positively." Fang Yu patted the crystal ball. "Maybe Nasri didn't abandon you, but died."

The crystal ball leaped three feet high. "Nonsense! Nasri is a level 17 arcane mage who has mastered the ninth ring spell of the Evolution School - Invincibility. No one can kill him except a great arcanist above level 20. A lowly servant like you can't even imagine how powerful Nasri is!"

Fang Yu chuckled and said meaningfully, "I really can't imagine how powerful your former master was, but I'm sure there's something that can kill him."

“It’s just time.”

The crystal ball uttered a harsh laugh. "Haha, lowly servant! Your limited imagination simply can't fathom the natural lifespan of a 17th-level arcane mage. Even without spells or potions to prolong their lifespan, a 17th-level arcane mage can expect to live for at least 500 years. Nasri had just celebrated his 200th birthday before I fell asleep, so he could still live for at least another 300 years."

After saying this, Professor Jorz realized that he had let something slip and quickly tried to make amends: "Nasri is my assistant, assistant."

Fang Yu chuckled: "Then what year was he born?"

The crystal ball said guiltily, "Of course it's TR1210."

Fang Yu thought for a moment and said, "So, when you were asleep, it was TR1410?"

Professor Jorz didn't bother to answer, but just flashed a few times to confirm.

Fang Yu took a deep breath to hide his shock. "Professor Yoelz, do you know what year it is now?"

"TR17328."

"Since you began your slumber in 1410, nearly sixteen thousand years have passed."

"I think even if Master Nasri becomes a great arcanist above level 20, he won't live for tens of thousands of years."

"What did you say!?" The crystal ball flashed violently several times, a bright white light flashing, and then turned dark purple. "What sixteen thousand years!?"

Fang Yu placed his palm on the nearest light screen: "See for yourself."

Professor Jorz paused for a few seconds before urging the wizard's hand to lift him up and fly in front of the light screen.

The time information TR17328 is clearly visible in the upper right corner of the light screen.

"This is impossible!" Professor Yorz screamed, and the crystal ball flashed several times, almost blinding Fang Yu's eyes. Then, the light of the entire crystal ball became extremely dim. If you didn't look carefully, you would think that Professor Yorz had fallen asleep again.

"Hey, Yuzu, are you okay?" Fang Yu patted the crystal ball tentatively. Seeing that Professor Yoelz didn't react at all, Fang Yu couldn't help but mutter, could it be that Yuzu's chip is burned?

It is about ten centimeters in size and is yellow at first. It looks like a pomelo and its name also sounds like a pomelo, so it must be a pomelo.

"Sixteen thousand years... How is it possible that sixteen thousand years have already passed..." Professor Jorz's voice became weak and powerless.

"It's over, it's truly over now," Professor Yorz wailed in despair, his body gradually turning pale gray. "The great Professor Yorz will be trapped and die in this lonely demiplane along with this lowly servant. I will never again witness the Illusion Theatre Society's fantastical performances, the elemental spirits' songs of water and fire, or hear the dreamlike and beautiful melody of Lunalis Windweaver's dawn. Ah, is this the fate the Shuttle of Fate has woven for me?"

Fang Yu's face turned dark and he punched the crystal ball with his fist.

This glowing pomelo kept talking about a lowly servant. Given Fang Yu's personality, if he didn't want to test this guy's background, he would have taken action long ago.

After many attempts, it seems that this crystal ball can only perform the function of a wizard's hand and has no offensive power. After finding out this, how could Fang Yu continue to endure it?

Fang Yu now understands that this guy is just a naughty kid with a bad temper.

You deserve a kick.

With a thud, ripples appeared on the surface of the crystal ball, as if an invisible force field was protecting this crystal ball.

The crystal ball glowed red, and Professor Yorz screamed in disbelief, "How dare you hit me! How dare you, a lowly servant, hit the great Professor Yorz! I am an arcane being created by the legendary archmage!"

Fang Yu sneered and slapped the crystal ball. "Arcane Life? You're just a magic prop, what's with all that bragging? Where's your creator, Sekalis Oselton? Where's your former master, Nasri? I've been putting up with you for a long time, you know that?"

Professor Yorz was a bit stunned by the slap, but seeing Fang Yu didn't seem to have any other options, he started to laugh loudly again, "Are you stupid? I'm made of stone. Sekalis has permanently solidified a 9th-level spell protection damage in me. Come on, keep fighting, you lowly and stupid servant. Even if I break your hand, you won't be able to harm the great Professor Yorz."

Fang Yu sneered: "Nine Rings' protective damage? That's amazing. Let's see if you can protect against this."

Professor Jorz was about to continue his mockery when he saw Fang Yu start to untie his belt with one hand.

Professor Yorz was shocked: "What are you going to do!?"

Fang Yu chuckled grimly: "In my hometown, things like you are considered evil spirits. To deal with evil spirits, you need to use boy's urine. I didn't have the chance before, so now is a good time to try and see if it works."

This guy has to use the magician's hand to wipe off any fingerprints on his body. He must be a serious mysophobia. I don't believe this trick can't cure it.

The crystal ball flickered alternately red and purple, and its tone was filled with panic: "You can't do this, I am the great Professor Yorz! I am not some evil spirit! I am an arcane life created by the Grand Arcanist! I..."

Professor Jorz was frightened when he saw Fang Yu slowly taking out his weapon. As an advanced magic prop with self-awareness created by the Great Archmage, since its birth, all ordinary wizards who saw it would be respectful and eager to get its guidance.

And today, he actually fell into the hands of a little apprentice who was not even a formal wizard. Moreover, this apprentice not only had no respect for him, but also wanted to urinate on him.

"If boy's urine doesn't work, you can also use black dog blood and menstrual belts. By the way, I haven't drunk much water these two days, and I'm quite irritable, so the color may be a little yellow, but yours is also yellow, so it should be fine. Don't worry, it will be over in a while." Fang Yu spoke in a kind tone and had a friendly attitude.

"Stop! You lowly servant! Ah! Stop! Stop! I was wrong!" Faced with a great threat imminent, Professor Jorz was able to bend and stretch.

Fang Yu stopped and slapped the crystal ball again: "You are wrong? What's wrong?"

Professor Jorz was almost going crazy. He had never experienced such humiliation since he was created.

"I asked you what you did wrong?" Fang Yu slapped him again.

It's not harmful, but extremely insulting.

"I shouldn't have called you a lowly servant!" The ball was under the eaves and had to bow his head. Professor Jorz endured the humiliation and the light he emitted turned red.

Ouch, you’re still not convinced by the color, right?

"What else? What else did you do wrong?" Fang Yu slapped him again.

What else? Professor Joelz was stunned. Seeing that Professor Joelz didn't say anything, Fang Yu hit him again.

"Stop, stop, stop, I'm doing this all wrong!"

"Everything is wrong. What is wrong?!"

Let me tell you first that the contract has been signed.

Old readers should all know that this is my second book (but there probably aren’t many old readers left, haha).

The last book I started was in early 2017 and was updated for less than two years. Later, due to various reasons, the book was discontinued. In addition, I was too busy with work, so I didn’t continue to start a new book.

I have put a lot of effort into this book. The core of it is actually an urban novel, mixed with pseudo-DND elements.

In fact, I have thought about this before: what would happen if a person suddenly had magical powers or could really practice urban cultivation?

I have read a lot of books over the years, but real urban magic seems to be very rare. Many books have turned into stories about fighting in other worlds or the myriad realms.

Of course, under the current circumstances, some authors are forced to do so, which is understandable.

However, this still makes me feel very sorry. I have always believed that urban literature of the legal type is the most enjoyable.

So, there is such a book.

I hope everyone enjoys watching it.
