Ye Lin never imagined she would one day meet someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Ji Jinyan once said that meeting Ye Lin was the luckiest thing that ever happened to him.

Mo Ping closed the door and came out, looking at everyone with gloomy faces, "The situation is not optimistic."
Xia Zaoan cried sadly, "Aren't you a heavenly doctor?"
"I'm helpless. I can only try to delay the onset of the poison." Mo Ping walked past the crowd and left.
The smiles disappeared from the team's faces and they all looked dejected.
Xia Zaoan ran to Ye Lin's room and held her hand. "Linlin."
Ye Lin was sleeping unconscious, and the team felt bad seeing her like this.
That evening, Xuan Ren and his group were all silent. Ye Lin, lying frail in bed, was still fresh in his mind. She had always been calm and composed, confident of victory.
Fioni punched the wall. "Is there nothing we can do?"
"We can't go on like this. There's no difficulty that's insurmountable."
"Yes, let's think about it carefully, there will definitely be a way to solve it." Xiaobai stood up.
"Just because there's no solution on this continent doesn't mean there isn't one out there," Gao said.
"You mean back to our territory? Yes. The medical care and technology out there are more advanced."
"The High Committee must be searching for us everywhere. It's very risky, and we don't know how to get back to the outside exit." Yuan analyzed.
"I have to go even if it means that. I can't bear to see my friends leave." Fioni said in a firm tone.
The other teammates made up their minds, "We can't hide here forever. We might as well fight for Y and ourselves."
"Everyone, get some rest today. Tomorrow we'll search for a way out. Even if it's only a slim chance, we must give Y a glimmer of hope."
The team slammed the table and Gao said, "CC, you stay."
"Why? Why can't I go?" she demanded. "Don't underestimate me. I got into Xuanren through my own ability. I don't need your protection."
Xiaobai tried to smooth things over, "That's not what he meant. Y also needs someone to look after it. If anything goes wrong, it would be convenient to contact you."
CC was furious, and Xiaobai said hesitantly, "How about I stay here and you go for me." He was afraid of death and hoped that it would be safer to stay here.
Fioni put his arm around his neck and led him away. "You're indispensable. You'll be of some use."
"Ah hey hey." He was strangled by the throat of fate.
CC and Gao faced off silently. CC turned and went back to his room. "If you don't want to go, then don't go."
The Xuanren group left early the next morning, and CC stayed in the room to see them off. After the group left, she watched them leave from a high place, a look of disappointment in her eyes.
Ji Jinyan had gone through countless hardships and climbed over numerous snow-capped mountains. Behind the snow-capped peaks stood an evergreen mountain. At first glance, this was the only green mountain among the high-altitude peaks, and its peak was the highest.
Ji Jinyan climbed up using his hands and feet, his nails and fingers were rubbed and bleeding. The steep and almost vertical cliff was bottomless, and anything that fell into it would be swallowed by it.
His mouth was so dry that large patches of skin peeled off, and the sweat flowed into his eyes and rolled down, and his clothes were torn.
His body ached and his nerves were on edge, and he knew he would be dead if he wasn't careful. After a whole day, his hands and feet were bloody and his hair was disheveled, he finally reached the top of the mountain.
The mountain was covered in dense vegetation, reaching half a man's height. The variety of strange and bizarre plants was dazzling, and many similar herbs were difficult to distinguish.
The slightest difference can make a world of difference in the medicinal properties, saving or taking a life. The mountains are covered in plants, requiring extensive screening, and even blood-sucking and biting insects are hidden in the underbrush.
Ji Jinyan stepped in without hesitation, his body scratched by the sharp thorns of the grass. Some short herbs were obscured by the tall ones. He bent down and carefully searched and compared them. He searched for many days, regardless of wind, sun, rain, or even a single day, not daring to delay or slack off.
The small wounds on his body healed and scabbed, but new wounds appeared, and he became much thinner and darker.
During the few hours of rest to maintain physical strength, his mind was full of Ye Lin, fearing that if he went back a day late, he would see her in trouble.
The boring routine repeats day after day, hoping that the bluegrass will appear before my eyes in the next second.
After Ji Jinyan finished searching this area, he was about to go to another one. As soon as he looked up, he seemed to see something in front of him.
He stared ahead to find out what was going on, but as soon as he stood up, his brain became deprived of oxygen and congested with blood, and he saw everything in front of him, dizzy and with stars in his eyes.
He walked forward and stepped on a patch of grass. Suddenly, the ground gave way rapidly. There was a hollow beneath his feet, and he rolled down the mountain.
Like a spinning windmill, there was a huge rock on the ridge. Ji Jinyan bumped into it, the sound of broken bones was clear and crisp, and he fainted.
Xia Zaoan was patiently feeding Ye Lin water as she woke up from her sleep, lifting her heavy and tired eyelids.
She said excitedly, "Linlin, you're awake. You slept for so long that I was scared to death." She couldn't help sobbing, "If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been poisoned, and you wouldn't have..."
Ye Lin wiped away her tears weakly, "It's not because of you. I already have toxins in my body. This day would come sooner or later."
"Are you hungry? I'll get you something to eat."
She said in a hollow tone: "No, I'm not hungry."
"That won't do. You've slept for so long and haven't eaten much. I'll be back soon." She trotted out.
"Good morning." She called softly, so softly that Xia Zaoan didn't hear it.
Xia Zaoan hurried over with some snacks and stopped at the door. Ye Lin had her eyes closed, lying motionless like a doll drained of life.
Xia Zaoan was trembling, her teeth chattering. She put the cake aside and approached cautiously, as if afraid to disturb her.
She stood by the bed and slowly squatted down, her trembling hands reaching under Ye Lin's nose. She was still breathing, just asleep. She collapsed on the ground, covering her mouth to prevent herself from making any sound, crying her heart out.
Afterwards, Ye Lin's sleep time became longer and longer, and her awake time became less and less. She was not awake for most of the day, and her mind became increasingly unclear.
Sometimes, when Xia Zaoan called her, she would take a long time to respond. Her condition worsened day by day, and those who could see it but were helpless felt a sense of helplessness and sadness.
CC would sometimes come over to see her and talk to her when she was unconscious. They would talk about everything, from her secrets to the trivialities of everyday life. When they ran out of things to talk about, she would read to her because she knew Ye Lin was reading.
Early in the morning, Xia Zaoan went to take care of Ye Lin as usual. She stepped into the room. Ye Lin sat motionless on the bed with her eyes open. Xia Zaoan looked at her with a smile.
"Linlin, you're awake." Ye Lin didn't even blink or react.
"Come, let's comb our hair." She fiddled with her hair.
Ever since she stopped responding to the outside world, didn't speak, and barely moved, she finally fulfilled her childhood wish of having no one to play house with her. Every day, she dressed Ye Lin up like a doll and combed her hair beautifully.
Ye Lin sat quietly, having washed and dressed. Xia Zaoan had fed her, and she was still holding a doll in her arms.
Xia Zaoan reached out to take it, but she refused to let go. She coaxed gently, "Linlin, I'll help you wash this doll and return it to you later, okay?"
Ye Lin didn't respond. "Look, it's dirty. Give it to me first, and you'll see a clean doll soon. Okay?"
She took the doll out of her arms, and Ye Lin still held the doll. She put Ye Lin's hands back, helped her lie down, and covered her with a blanket.
Xia Zaoan took the things out and Ye Lin closed her eyes.
In a dream, under the moon, two little girls squatted in the grass. One of the little girls pointed at the moon in the sky and said, "Then I will call you Ah Yue."
…
Ye Lin opened her eyes, sat up, and called out softly with empty eyes, "Ah--Yue--"
She looked down at her empty arms, feeling like something was missing. She slowly got out of bed, opened the door and walked out.
She somehow perfectly avoided all the times of being seen, perhaps because her instinctive body reaction as Ye Lin was still there.
Ye Lin walked out of Chimozong and down the path until she came to a left. Still unconscious, she continued walking forward. Ahead lay a vast lake, with an abandoned, dilapidated boat on the shore.
She lifted her foot and stepped in. The boat rocked, rippling the lake surface and pushing the boat away from the shore. It drifted along the calm surface of the lake towards the center, being steadily supported by the current all the way.
Ye Lin drifted on the boat without direction or destination, gradually moving away from Chimo Sect.
"Linlin, the doll is clean."
The doll in his hand fell to the ground silently and was covered with dust again.
There was a faint island in the distance, and the boat gradually approached until it hit the shore.
Ye Lin stepped out and saw that the island was bustling with activity. There were many vendors selling things and people were coming and going on the streets.
She was walking unconsciously when a couple came towards her. Ye Lin didn't know how to avoid them and bumped into the man's shoulder.
"You don't have eyes. Don't you know how to give in?"
Ye Lin continued walking without any reaction, and the couple watched her leave in disgrace.
The flow of people was very dense, and she was bumped into by the crowd, people passing by in twos and threes. Ye Lin fell to the ground, and her hand was bleeding.
She sat on the ground in a daze, and many people walked past her. Ye Lin's lifeless eyes suddenly caught Zheng Da's eye and he grabbed a jade pendant.
The man with the jade pendant hanging around his waist stopped. From his angle, he could only see the top of Ye Lin's head. He stretched out his hand to Ye Lin.
"Little girl, can you please get up?"
Ye Lin held the jade pendant tightly and refused to let go. The man bent down and helped her up.
He saw Ye Lin's appearance clearly, his eyes flickered, his heart was in turmoil, and his lips trembled as he stared at her closely.
I dared not blink for fear that this would be an illusion and disappear in the next second. "Where are you from?"
Ye Lin had been pulling the jade pendant in her hand, and the jade pendant was separated from the man's waist. In the movement, the jade pendant hanging on Ye Lin's neck was half exposed, and the man lifted the rope and pulled the jade pendant out.
He looked at the jade pendant, and looked at her with complicated eyes, and it took a long time for him to calm down.
Ye Lin played with the jade pendant without saying a word, and the man noticed that she was different.
He looked at her lovingly, "Are you lost?"
She opened her arms to him with a confused look, which made him feel distressed.
The man took Ye Lin's hand and said, "How are you? I'll take you home."
He walked with her warmly to the river. A watercraft was parked there. "Let's go home."
He pulled her hand to get out of the water, "Stop!"
The man hesitated and still did not take her away.
A group of people rushed over. It was CC and his group. After Ye Lin disappeared, CC immediately found her mobile location through the wristband and tracked her all the way here.
"Y." CC wanted to step forward.
Ye Lin hid behind the man. CC stopped approaching and looked at the man.
"This is our friend. Where are you taking her?" she said in a gloomy tone.
The man comforted the startled Ye Lin, "Do you know them?"
She opened her eyes innocently and said, "Y, I'm CC, come back with us."
Ye Lin hid behind the man and refused to come out. The few of them were in a stalemate and she refused to move an inch.
Just when CC didn't know what to do, "Linlin."
Xia Zaoan rushed over, and behind him was Ji Jinyan.
After Ye Lin got lost, she waited anxiously in Chimo Sect.
Ji Jinyan woke up on the mountainside. The blood from his wound had long since dried up, and he simply treated the wound.
His eyes were full of hope. He was not mistaken. It was really blue grass.
He climbed back up from the middle of the mountain and started searching from the beginning. After several days of sleepless nights, he finally found the only bluegrass plant again.
He carefully picked it off and kept it, and rushed back without even bothering to repair it.
He appeared in front of the Chimo Sect gate, covered in dust and tatters. The guards didn't even recognize him and thought he was an intruder.
When he heard the noises of chaos and war coming from the sect, his heart sank into an ice cave.
After vaguely hearing words like "someone is missing", Xia Zaoan ignored the obstruction and wanted to leave the sect to look for him.
Seeing an unknown homeless man standing in front of the door, he walked forward excitedly.
Xia Zaoan took a few steps back, wary, "Where's Lin'er?"
She didn't recognize him, but her voice sounded familiar and she suddenly remembered him.
"Ji Jinyan, why are you like this?"
"What happened?"
She said with a guilty look on her face, "Linlin is missing. CC and the others have gone looking for her."
Xia Zaoan and Ji Jinyan immediately got up and rushed over. Ye Lin looked at them timidly, grabbing the corner of the man's loose clothes.
Ji Jinyan stretched out his hand, "Come, Lin'er."
Jiu Yi looked at him in shock at how much his appearance had changed. "Is this Ji Jinyan? How did he suddenly become a slovenly old man?"
The man said, "She doesn't seem to know anything. How can you prove that you are her family?"
After all, Ji Jinyan didn't look like a trustworthy person right now. He said respectfully, "Thank you very much for helping us find Linlin. She's sick but will be cured soon. Just tell me what reward you want."
"Have you found the antidote?" Hope lit up CC's face.
Ji Jinyan nodded, but the man still didn't believe it. "Even if you really know her, how can you tell whether you treat her well by looking at her condition? Have you treated her harshly?" He saw that Ye Lin was dressed neatly and it was not really as he said, but he had finally found her and didn't want to hand her over to them so easily.
Ji Jinyan saw that the other party was elegant, capable, and had extraordinary bearing. He didn't have any ulterior motives, and perhaps he really had good intentions.
"Her poison must be removed as soon as possible. If you are worried, you can go with us until we are sure she is truly safe."
The man was shaken: looking at where she grew up, he said, "Okay, I'll go with you."
Ji Jinyan approached, and Ye Lin seemed to smell his scent. She did not avoid him, but looked at him with pure eyes.
He picked up the barefoot Ye Lin and strode back to the sect with big strides.
Ye Lin fell asleep again, with blood oozing from her mouth. Back in her room, Ji Jinyan put her down.
"Where's Mo Ping?"
"The antidote is being made at the pharmacy. I've asked her to come over."
Ji Jinyan stroked her hair gently, and Mo Ping came over to check on Ye Lin's condition.
He ordered the medicine furnace to be brought in and said to him, "She's been poisoned. The other ingredients are ready. There's only one plant of bluegrass, and I'm not sure how it will react with her. We only have one chance. Tell others not to disturb this place."
After Mo Ping gave the instructions, she closed the door. Jiu Yi and the man stood there waiting.
Jiuyi stared at the man suspiciously and pointed at him, "Aren't you Yun, Yunsi, Ming from Forgotten Flower Island?"
Yun Siming hadn't expected that he would follow her to the Chimo Sect. "The Sect Master has a good memory."
"I was wondering why you followed me here. Are you trying to find out about the Chimo Sect so you can tell Yihua Island about it?"
"Sect Master, you're overthinking it. Apart from Mr. Xuwu, there's nothing else in the Chimo Sect that's worth my Yihua Island's attention."
"Oh, you let it slip. My master only has me as his last disciple. You won't have the chance to change your master."
Yun Siming's speechless expression was written all over his face. "I really don't understand why Mr. Xuwu would accept you."
"You..." A loud whip landed at Jiuyi's feet, scaring him.
CC was waiting anxiously, but when she heard Jiuyi's noisy voice beside her, her face turned dark.
"Be quiet."
"He also spoke, why don't you talk about him?"
CC swung a knife at him, and Jiuyi immediately shut up, muttering softly, "You vicious woman, you're just holding a grudge against me for what happened yesterday."
Yesterday, the leader of a certain sect, out of righteousness and the desire to protect the sect from CC's harm, took the initiative to show up. However, she didn't even glance at him and kicked him out. She even mocked his flat figure, saying that he only slept with eight-pack abs, which greatly hurt his pride as a man.
Inside the room, Mo Ping was sweating profusely, not daring to relax or become distracted. He removed the last needle and helped Ye Lin drink the medicine.
"Go, go!"
This time she finally saw the person's face clearly. Little Ye Lin called her, "Ayue!"
Ah Yue fell in a pool of blood, spears and swords piercing her body. With her mouth full of blood, she screamed with all her might, "Run!"
Ye Lin slowly opened her eyes, and the blurry scene began to clear. Her whole body ached, and she pushed herself up.
"Awake?" Mo Ping looked at her. "Who am I?"
"Mo Ping, don't get too close to me. I can't see you completely."
"You've recovered. Don't move for now. I'll test your toxin level again."
"How did you cure my poison?"
