Paranoid Possession, Lu Ye's Little Teaser is a Bit Sweet

On the day Lu Zheng met Qiao Zhen, his mind was filled with wild and unrestrained thoughts.

She was the untouchable dream from his youth.

She is also the existence he wants to possess n...

Chapter 118 How Did You Sleep?

Qiao Zhen was really worried, and at her insistence, Lu Zheng and Qiao Luosheng helped take the person to the hospital.

After a series of examinations, it was found that Qiao's mother only had a slight arrhythmia. The doctor prescribed sedative and sleep-inducing medication and instructed her to rest more and avoid further stimulation.

"Don't worry, sis. I'll take care of Mom. Everything will be fine."

On Qiao Luosheng's young face, his eyes shone brightly, filled with determination.

Qiao Zhen has sacrificed so much for their family over the years. Let's wait a little longer; once he graduates and is capable, he will definitely be able to help his sister.

Qiao Zhen was finally relieved.

Without even eating, Lu Zheng took Qiao Zhen and her mother, Qiao Luosheng, directly back to his two-story detached villa in the suburbs.

Far from the hustle and bustle of the city center, this place offers a tranquil environment, making it ideal for recuperation.

When I got home, the caregiver had already prepared a meal. Although the taste wasn't as good as in a hotel, it was just some home-style dishes, but it was enough.

"Mom, you get some rest. I'll stay here and not go anywhere."

The caregiver helped give Qiao's mother the medicine, and Qiao Zhen didn't come out of the room until she had coaxed her mother to sleep.

"Lu Zheng, thank you."

It's obvious that someone came to clean this place in advance; the sheets and blankets are all new, daily necessities are complete, and even clothes—whether they belong to Qiao Zhen, Qiao's mother, or Qiao Luosheng—are prepared in more than a dozen sets.

It's obvious who did this.

However, the more Lu Zheng acted this way, the more Qiao Zhen struggled internally.

"You don't need to be so polite with me. If you really want to thank me, go get something to eat first; you don't look well."

Looking at Qiao Zhen's pale face, which was no better than her mother's, Lu Zheng's eyes showed obvious worry.

Qiao Zhen had no appetite, so she shook her head.

But the next second, her body was lifted into the air, and the feeling of weightlessness forced Qiao Zhen to subconsciously hug Lu Zheng's neck.

"What are you doing? Lu Zheng, put me down!"

Unfortunately, Lu Zheng did not comply with Qiao Zhen's wishes.

Lu Zheng forcefully carried Qiao Zhen to the dining table and gently placed her on a chair. He then got up and left, returning shortly after with a first-aid kit.

"Qiao Zhen, can't you take a little care of yourself? You just twisted your ankle, didn't you know that?"

Qiao Zhen was stunned for a moment before she felt a sharp pain in her ankle.

Lu Zheng gently took off Qiao Zhen's socks and carefully cupped her ankles, massaging them gently.

Qiao Zhen stared blankly at Lu Zheng's actions, watching him massage her and apply medicine to her as if they were precious treasures. Qiao Zhen felt increasingly conflicted.

She truly couldn't understand Lu Zheng anymore.

"Does it still hurt?"

While Qiao Zhen was still in a daze, Lu Zheng had already taken care of it for her.

"It doesn't hurt anymore." Qiao Zhen slowly shook her head.

After Lu Zheng's actions, although her ankle was still swollen, it was indeed not as painful as it had been at the beginning.

"Let's eat."

Lu Zheng put down the first-aid kit, washed his hands, and sat down again next to Qiao Zhen.

For the rest of the time, Lu Zheng barely ate anything, constantly using serving chopsticks to put food on Qiao Zhen's plate.

Soon, the plates in front of Qiao Zhen were piled up into a small mountain.

"Lu Zheng, you eat it yourself, I can't eat that much."

But Lu Zheng said in an unquestionable tone, "You're too thin. You need to eat more. Otherwise, it will affect your touch."

A single word about "feel" made Qiao Zhen blush.

Qiao Zhen silently rummaged through the food on her plate and simply shut her mouth.

After dinner, Lu Zheng picked Qiao Zhen up in his arms again.

"Lu Zheng, what are you doing?"

My mood went through a lot today, and Qiao really wasn't in the mood for that kind of thing.

Lu Zheng ignored her words and carried her straight back to the room.

He gently placed Qiao Zhenping on the bed, and Lu Zheng took off his shoes and lay down next to her.

Qiao Zhen immediately curled up into a ball, wrapping herself completely in the blanket, leaving only her fluffy head sticking out, her big, watery eyes staring warily at Lu Zheng.

Lu Zheng was amused by Qiao Zhen's actions, and the usual coldness in his eyes melted away.

"Don't worry, I won't touch you. Be good and go to sleep."

Lu Zheng scooped Qiao Zhen, who was wrapped up like a silkworm cocoon, into his arms, and then... that was it.

Qiao Zhen watched as Lu Zheng closed his eyes, his breathing gradually becoming steady, as if he were fast asleep. Sleepiness washed over her, and Qiao Zhen finally succumbed, drifting off to sleep.

After Qiao Zhen fell asleep, Lu Zheng suddenly opened his eyes. His dark eyes were clear and bright, showing no signs of having just woken up.

"Zhenzhen, when will you finally learn to rely on me?"

Lu Zheng's large hand traced the outline of Qiao Zhen's face from a distance, his dark eyes filled with deep longing.

The next morning, when Qiao Zhen woke up, there was no one beside her. Qiao Zhen reached out and touched the spot, only to find it was already cold.

When Qiao Zhen got up and went downstairs, she found that her mother and Qiao Luosheng were already up, and Lu Zheng was sitting in the living room chatting with her mother.

“Auntie, this is good. You don’t have to go back to the nursing home anymore, and Zhenzhen’s burden can be lighter.”

Qiao's mother understood Lu Zheng's thoughts perfectly well, and she found her future son-in-law increasingly pleasing to the eye.

"Lu Zheng, isn't this too much of a bother for you? After all, you and Zhenzhen aren't married yet, and I feel really bad taking such a big advantage of you."

Lu Zheng owns numerous properties, some of which he may never even live in once in his lifetime. Leaving them vacant doesn't really have much of an impact.

"Actually, I also had my own selfish reasons. This way, I could see her every day."

As Lu Zheng spoke, his gaze fell upon Qiao Zhen, who was standing at the top of the stairs.
