But she maintained her composure and asked, "So, what project are you here for?"

Qiao Zhen smiled and said in a gentle tone, "Ms. Song, the Hope Primary School project is very important to me, and I hope you can let me join it."

Qiao Zhen knew that it was impossible for Song Shiyi to withdraw from the project and for Qiao Zhen to join, so he could only settle for second best and ask Song Shiyi to give him a spot.

Upon hearing this, Song Shiyi initially intended to make things difficult for Qiao Zhen, but seeing the gossipy expressions on his colleagues' faces and considering his own work abilities, he rolled his eyes and nodded insincerely.

Upon hearing this, Qiao Zhen looked up at the distant sky and realized that it was already dark outside.

While apologizing, Qiao Zhen packed up the project documents with frustration.

She was so engrossed in her work that she forgot it was time to leave.

But as soon as she came to her senses, her stomach growled at an inopportune moment.

Qiao Zhen was slightly embarrassed and rubbed her stomach, saying, "Sorry, I forgot to eat today."

Unexpectedly, upon hearing this, Lu Zheng drove to a restaurant without a second thought.
