People at Sea: I Rely on Hints to Become a Big Shot

When Shen Jue woke up, she found herself adrift on the vast ocean. Beneath her was a small wooden raft, and in her hand, a fishing rod. Feeling utterly bewildered, Shen Jue looked at the boundless ...

Chapter 84 Gathering Evidence, Rabbit Chieftain (2/2)

The cave contains many small stone caves, and a wolf lives in each of them.

Shen Jue noticed that they varied in size, and some of them were quite strong.

A wolf lay in the center of the cave.

Wolf howls could be heard from outside from time to time, and the wolf lying down spoke.

"Who did this? Step forward!"

Inside the cave, all was silent; no wolf emerged.

Then, the entire cave was filled with the wolf's scolding.

After hearing the whole story, Shen Jue roughly sorted it out.

The wolf that spoke was the leader of the pack, and it was once a very strong wolf. In the pack, every wolf respectfully called it the "Wolf King".

However, as the years passed, the wolf king grew old and his strength declined. As a result, a division began to emerge within the pack, with some younger wolves vying for the leadership position.

The wounded wolf was originally a capable subordinate of the wolf king, and had always followed the wolf king in his battles throughout this forest.

It was strong and capable, and the old wolf king favored it as the next leader, but it suffered retaliatory attacks from other contenders vying for the leadership.

This injury occurred during a battle with another competitor. It had just won when it was ambushed by other wolves and nearly died. It fought back desperately and managed to fight off ten wolves to save its life, although it almost paid the price with its hind leg.

But now that it has recovered, it naturally wants to settle accounts with those wolves.

The old wolf king snorted coldly: "I trained you, not so you could fight amongst yourselves. Have you forgotten why we've been hiding here? I painstakingly trained you, so you could break through your limits and go out to investigate the rabbit tribe. And yet, you've started fighting amongst yourselves."

After all that, we've finally gotten to the point. So, the wolf pack that the little rabbit saw was sent out by the old wolf king to scout the situation.

Shen Jue held the camera, turned on the video recording mode, and quietly recorded everything.

The trembling little white rabbit in her arms gradually calmed down under her comforting words.

Once Shen Jue finishes recording the old wolf king's speech, this evidence will be sufficient.

Now, it's time to go back the way we came. But how to go back is the question.

Outside the cave, several wolves are fighting. Inside, the old wolf king keeps a close watch.

Now is not the right time to relocate. If any disturbance occurs, these wolves fighting amongst themselves will definitely unite to attack her.

These wolves are no slower than her. The only chance to get out is when they finish fighting amongst themselves and are exhausted.

Shen Jue patiently waited for this opportunity.

As the saying goes, opportunity favors the prepared mind, and soon, the opportunity that Shen Jue had been waiting for arrived.

The battle at the cave entrance had reached a fever pitch, and the old wolf king was keeping a close eye on the final outcome of the match.

So if she leaves at this time, they won't notice her.

Shen Jue seized the opportunity and used the same method he had used to turn back.

Return quickly along the same route.

Back at the bottom of the ravine, it was dark above, so we needed a powerful flashlight.

Coming down is easy, going up is hard, but this is no challenge for Shen Jue.

The acceleration actually made it faster than the descent.

When they reached the top of the ravine, the little white rabbit felt it was unreal.

It followed a human into the wolf pack's lair and emerged unharmed.

If this story were told to others, even fewer people would believe it.

Little Rabbit: "Now, let's go find the clan leader! The clan leader definitely knows how to deal with this."

Shen Jue: "Okay, you can give me directions."
