Out of a whim, Lin Qingyue casually picked up the beautiful and fragile young man, Shen Yu, from a murky club.
Initially, she only intended to keep him as an agreeable canary, to tease in her...
Miracle Jade
In the morning, sunlight filtered through thin clouds, generously filling the city streets. A black Mercedes-Benz smoothly stopped in front of a stylish boutique, where a clerk in a neatly tailored suit was already waiting respectfully.
The car door opened, and Lin Qingyue stepped out first. She was dressed casually today, her sunglasses covering most of her face, revealing only her graceful jawline and a hint of pale lips. Her long hair was tied up loosely. Although she lacked some of her business sharpness, she still had an imposing aura.
Shen Yu followed him down, and subconsciously quickly scanned the store in front of him, whose window display alone revealed the word "expensive", and his fingers curled up unconsciously.
"Let's go." Lin Qingyue naturally extended her hand, not to hold hands, but to gently place her fingertips on his forearm, and led him into the store with an unquestionable sense of guidance.
The shop is spacious, music playing softly, and the air is filled with the scent of luxury fragrances and pristine fabrics. The well-trained staff smiles politely, "Mr. Lin, the section you requested is ready. It's stocked with the season's new arrivals and some understated classics."
Lin Qingyue nodded slightly, took off her sunglasses, revealing a pair of calm and clear brown eyes. She glanced around the store and accurately led Shen Yu to the men's clothing area.
"See if there's anything you like." She said to Shen Yu, and she sat down elegantly on the sofa. Immediately, a waiter brought her a hand-brewed coffee. She crossed her legs and picked up a brand brochure. She didn't seem to intend to intervene too much and gave him the right to choose.
Shen Yu stood in front of rows of clothes racks, feeling somewhat lost. The clothes here had no obvious logos, but the fabrics, cuts, and designs all spoke of their high prices. He carefully touched the cuffs of a light gray cashmere sweater, which felt incredibly soft.
"If you like it, you can try it." Lin Qingyue's voice came from behind. She didn't look up, but seemed to see through all his hesitations.
With the encouragement and help of the clerk, Shen Yu picked out a few of the most basic and low-key styles and walked into the fitting room.
When he changed into his first set of clothes and hesitantly pulled open the curtain and walked out, Lin Qingyue, who was flipping through a picture album on the sofa, raised her eyes.
It was a simple white cotton shirt and khaki casual trousers. Yet, the fitted silhouette instantly outlined the boy's lean figure, perfectly showcasing his slender waist and straight legs. The pure white accentuated his fair complexion, while the contrast between his jet-black hair and eyes was clean and beautiful against the simple tones.
He tugged at the hem of his shirt uncomfortably and looked at Lin Qingyue with a questioning look in his eyes: "Boss Lin, is this... okay?"
Lin Qingyue said nothing, simply watching him quietly. She hadn't noticed when the album in her hand had been put down. A tiny ripple crossed her brown eyes, like a pebble dropped into a calm lake. She had always known he was handsome, but she hadn't imagined that with a little embellishment, this beauty would blossom in such a direct and impactful way.
"Turn around and let me see." There was no emotion in her voice.
Shen Yu turned around obediently.
The back is equally impeccable, the shirt fabric fitting snugly over the slightly raised shoulder blades, the narrowed waistline blending smoothly into the trouser waistband.
"Next set." Lin Qingyue picked up the coffee cup, took a sip, and her tone remained calm.
Shen Yu changed into another outfit. A dark blue thick-knit sweater, paired with black slim-fit trousers. The lazy and casual style, when worn on him, inexplicably brought out a sense of nobility. His black eyes, set against the dark blue, looked like a night sky filled with stars.
Lin Qingyue stared for a moment, and lightly tapped the armrest of the sofa with her fingertips.
Next up is his third outfit: a slightly oversized light gray wool coat, paired with a pure black turtleneck sweater and well-cut dark gray trousers. This slightly mature design manages to create a unique charm that's somewhere between youth and youth, a cool yet captivating look.
Every time you change a set, it feels like opening a brand new, yet equally eye-catching blind box.
Lin Qingyue had originally only intended to buy him some decent clothes so he wouldn't look too shabby when he went off to college. But now, looking at this boy who seemed born to be a clothes hanger, an extremely subtle feeling grew in her heart.
It was a mixture of admiration, possessiveness, and... a sense of satisfaction bordering on the desire to create. It was like discovering a rough jade, and she had the unique right to meticulously carve it, allowing it to bloom with the brilliance it deserved, and even beyond expectations.
She was no longer content to just watch. She stood up and walked over to the clothes rack herself.
"This one, and this one," she said decisively, running her fingertips over a few pieces she liked, "try his size on them."
"Pair it with that scarf."
"Well, change your shoes to this pair."
"The color is too dark. Try that oatmeal coat."
She became the most demanding and professional stylist, with a sharp eye and discerning taste. Shen Yu, like a meticulously dressed puppet, shuttled back and forth between the fitting room and the mirror. The initial restraint on his face was slowly replaced by a shy joy. Every time he came out of the dressing room, he would subconsciously seek her gaze first, like a small animal waiting for approval.
Lin Qingyue's reaction, from the initial slight nod, to almost every set later, would make her stay and stare for a few seconds longer.
"not bad."
"This one is fine."
"wrap up."
The three words "wrap it up" appeared more and more frequently. The smile on the shop assistant's face became more and more sincere, and his movements became more and more skillful.
When Shen Yu tried on the last set, his cheeks were flushed due to frequent changes of clothes, but his eyes were sparkling. He looked at himself in the mirror, who was almost unrecognizable, and then looked through the mirror at the woman behind him who dominated everything.
Lin Qingyue was also looking at him in the mirror, an indescribable satisfaction lingering in her brown eyes. She stepped forward and personally adjusted the collar of his coat, her fingertips accidentally brushing against the warm side of his neck.
"Tired?" she asked, her voice a little softer than usual.
Shen Yu shook his head with a pure smile on his face: "Not tired." He was flattered to be treated so carefully.
When the try-on was finally over and the clerk began to count the clothes to be packed, Shen Yu belatedly saw the shopping bags piled up almost like a small mountain over there. His black eyes widened instantly, and a trace of helplessness flashed across his face.
"Mr. Lin... this is too much..." he whispered, subconsciously wanting to pull her sleeve, but felt it was inappropriate to do so in front of the clerk, so his fingers paused awkwardly in the air.
Lin Qingyue followed his gaze and glanced at the pile of spoils, her expression unchanged, as if it were just an ordinary daily purchase. She put on her brown sunglasses again, hiding any emotion that might be revealed in her eyes, leaving only the slightest curve of her light-colored lips raised.
"Not bad." She said lightly, took the card signing form handed to her by the clerk, and signed her name smoothly.
"Let's go." After signing, she naturally reached out her hand, this time gently holding his wrist which was a little cold, and walked out with him.
Sitting back in the car, Shen Yu looked at the rapidly receding street scene outside the window, and secretly glanced at Lin Qingyue who was calm and at ease beside him. His heart was filled with a huge, unreal sense of happiness, but mixed with a little bit of uneasiness about such luxury.
He hesitated for a moment, then spoke softly, "Boss Lin, there's no need to buy so much..."
Lin Qingyue stared ahead, her profile graceful and indifferent. After a few seconds, she spoke casually, her tone carrying a barely perceptible, almost joyful, hint of helplessness:
"Well, I accidentally bought too much."
Because she found that watching him transform into one heart-warming look after another at her will, this feeling seemed to be more addictive to her than signing a lucrative contract.
The sunlight outside the car window was just right, falling on her brown sunglasses, reflecting this colorful world.
