This is an independent female protagonist story. It involves rebirth, spatial abilities, hoarding supplies, post-apocalyptic survival, and occasional team-ups.
Disasters include earthquakes, ...
“Uh…” Song Xian took a deep breath and changed the subject, “No, it’s not that. His brothers are seriously injured and he wants us to help treat them.”
Li Ke: "...Don't they have doctors there?"
Song Xian didn't answer immediately; he hadn't even asked those questions before rushing up when he heard Qiu Feng's cry for help.
Li Ke told him to go down first and explained to Qiu Feng that no outsiders were allowed to enter. He told Qiu Feng to communicate with the doctor to find out what he needed. They would try their best to provide what they had, but it wouldn't be for nothing. From now on, Qiu Feng and his brothers' lives would belong to them.
Li Ke specifically instructed him to tell these things only to Qiu Feng, and to make sure that Qiu Feng did not let any third party know about this.
Upon hearing the instructions, Song Xian hurriedly went down the mountain and solemnly conveyed these words to Qiu Feng. At this point, what could Qiu Feng possibly refuse? Without the support from the mountain, they would already be prisoners.
After listening to Song Xian's words, he promised that he would never spread the matter to anyone else, and then went to find a doctor to ask what medical equipment he needed.
After finding what Qiu Feng needed, Li Ke spoke to Qiu Feng through the glass in a different voice: "Now that we've captured someone alive, let's put in the effort to interrogate them properly. What's the point of having those things if we can't get anything out of them?"
Qiu Feng took a deep breath and replied, "You're right, I know what to do."
After retrieving the items from the storage warehouse, Qiu Feng drove hurriedly down the mountain. The ditch at the road closure was too deep for a car to pass through, but the riverbed formed by the road closure had long since dried up. He had his men take people around to the bottom and level a section of dirt road, which was approved by the mountain.
While the doctor was treating the people, Qiu Feng was planning to interrogate them to find out where the boss's hideout was before heading to rescue the other brothers. Just then, he heard cheers coming from outside. He led his men out to see what was happening and found that Da Zhuang had returned with more than ten brothers.
Upon meeting, the two sides embraced each other excitedly. Da Zhuang said, "Big brother, I'm back. Three of our brothers were shot and are seriously injured. They're still in the car. We need to find a way to get them to safety."
Qiu Feng hurriedly had his injured brothers taken to the medical clinic, while he and Da Zhuang learned about each other's situations and then discussed the matter of interrogating those people.
Lin Nuo was also shot in the leg. Although Qiu Feng's brothers wanted to kill him, they took into consideration that he was Qiu Feng's brother and only crippled his leg. The other captured people were also tortured, but they were left alive for questioning.
Lin Nuo's leg injury was left exposed, with no one to treat it. He tore off some clothes and wrapped it up haphazardly. When he was dragged up, his face was bruised and swollen, and he actually started laughing again when he saw Qiu Feng.
"Big brother, you're back. I knew they wouldn't catch you so easily," Lin Nuo said shamelessly.
Qiu Feng glanced at him coldly and ordered all the prisoners to be hoisted onto the torture rack: "Today, whether you live or die depends on who knows the most. Whoever gives up the boss's address will be spared! If you really don't know anything, then it's your fate. Remember to settle accounts with your so-called boss after you're gone!"
After Qiu Feng finished speaking, he sat down and stopped talking. Niu Dazhuang ordered the skilled knife-wielders to go up and bleed each of them, to make them suffer to the extreme, but not to harm their lives.
For the next week, Li Ke spent a very quiet time on the mountain. The weather was so hot that it was impossible to go out during the day, and the sun would not set until seven or eight o'clock in the evening.
Song Xian was recognized by Niu Dazhuang at the foot of the mountain. Niu Dazhuang didn't know Song Xian's name either, but he was sure that Song Xian used to be from their town. Later, when he went back to the town and asked around, he knew everything he needed to know.
However, Song Xian has found a new powerful ally, who is now also their powerful ally, so naturally neither side will discuss anything unpleasant.
When Song Xian was chatting with Niu Dazhuang, he revealed that he was recruiting more people. Niu Dazhuang went back and told the people in the town that anyone interested could give it a try, but only twenty people could go on Mondays each week.
Li Ke had Song Xian oversee the initial screening, and the second screening would be scheduled for the following week. After two weeks, Li Ke only recruited two more women and one more man, all of whom seemed to be quite persevering.
Of course, their conditions and treatment were not as good as Song Xian's. Li Ke also pointed out to Song Xian directly: "You are the one who manages them. You can order them to do things. If you see them doing something wrong, you can teach them a lesson directly. If they are not of good character and commit a crime, you can execute them on the spot."
I don't need you to get close to them, nor do you need to cultivate a good relationship with them. Just keep an eye on them and report back immediately if they do anything wrong. Of course, if you feel you can't do these things, I can find someone else to take over. In that case, if you make a mistake, you'll still be punished without hesitation.
Tell them that once they enter the restricted area, their lives are their own. If they can't accept that, they can still choose to leave.
Song Xian now exercises every day and eats well. During the day, he also goes out to patrol the mountains very responsibly in the early morning and evening. He looks much darker than before, but he has also become much stronger.
Upon hearing Li Ke's words, he immediately and solemnly agreed: "I understand. I will definitely keep a close watch on things and not let anyone with ill intentions in. I will also manage the new recruits well."
The newly hired man used to work in construction engineering, so Li Ke asked him to produce a design drawing for an underground residence. Li Ke spent the whole night checking the data and felt that it was ordinary, but it also had some merits.
