Chapter 222 The Immortal Base and Boss Cheng's Supplies

After Li Ke asked the man for the exact location of the supplies, she knocked him unconscious and went to interrogate the next person. It was raining heavily outside, so going out wasn't convenient. She decided to interrogate all the others first.

The subsequent interrogation went much more smoothly, because they learned a lot of information from the man. Li Ke used torture while also employing some persuasive techniques to get the deputy captain to confess first, so there was no need for the others to keep a close watch on him.

Only three men knew about the supplies; the others could only tell you about their own tasks, and you couldn't get much more information from them.

After reviewing everyone's information, it took less than three days. The rain outside was still pouring down. Li Ke rested for one night and then braved the rain to search for the place where Boss Cheng had hidden the supplies.

To be precise, Li Ke's residence wasn't actually on the mountaintop. She had chosen to settle in a flat area below the mountains, near a village or town, and was quite a distance from the so-called mountaintop.

However, Li Ke did indeed extend his defensive line quite far. The place the man had instructed was to the east, and beyond the east was Qiu Feng's Qiushan base. So now, Li Ke and Qiu Feng had trapped Boss Cheng's supplies in the middle.

Li Ke came looking for these supplies not out of greed to take them all, but because she wanted to inspect them in advance. If there were anything she didn't have, or weapons with firepower superior to hers, she would definitely take them before they fell into someone else's hands.

When they were almost at their destination, they encountered the people at their own defense post. Li Ke simply told them to be careful and not to stay outside for too long in the rain, and then continued on their way.

After passing the defense point and walking for a while, Li Ke started looking for the three stone markers the other party had mentioned. As he was looking through his binoculars, he suddenly spotted a dark gun barrel.

However, the gun wasn't nearby; a hundred meters away, a person in a raincoat was pointing a gun at Li Ke.

Li Ke did not put down the binoculars. The fine rain was somewhat affecting his vision, and the man's raincoat sleeves were wide, so Li Ke could not observe his hand movements.

There was something wrong with the other party. If they were patrolmen from Qiufeng's side, they should have questioned her by now, but they just pointed their gun at her and didn't say a word.

There was no suitable cover for Li Ke, and the nearest tree was a meter away from her. If she made any unusual movement, the other party would shoot at any time.

Li Ke didn't know how good the other person's marksmanship was, but from what she observed, the other person's hand was very steady, and the muzzle of the gun did not move at all during that half minute.

"I'm afraid there will be some bloodshed today," Li Ke thought to herself, frowning. The gun seemed to be pointed at her neck, the weakest point in her body.

He wondered if there were other people lurking in the shadows. It seemed he had been tricked by those people after all. Life is never a smooth journey, he thought to himself.
