Chapter 264 Upgrade

Li Ke only released a portion of the supplies, filling five trucks. It wasn't a lot, but with limited manpower, she couldn't release too many. These five trucks only carried one-fifth of the supplies, but it was enough to mislead outsiders.

She borrowed five people from Song Xian to drive her, notified Qiu Feng and the others to speed up, and after meeting at the reception area, Li Ke led Song Xian and the others to the safe zone.

Along the way, thanks to the experienced Li Ke leading the way, we avoided some of the usual tricks, and it still took us more than half a month to finally reach the conference building.

But by this time, there was almost no open space around the building, and the reception center was about to close in an hour. Li Ke didn't have time to say goodbye to Mo Bao'er. He took Song Xian and pushed six boxes of gold into the reception center.

The reception area had been staffed more, and although there were four groups of people registering ahead of them, Li Ke and Song Xian were able to find a place to register.

Of the six boxes of gold, two were for Song Xian and Qiu Feng to use for registration. Although Qiu Feng had not yet arrived, Li Ke, who knew the situation, asked Song Xian to assign two people to act as Qiu Feng's representatives and reserve two rooms first.

According to calculations, each building has sixty rooms, and three buildings are used to accommodate bidding personnel. Two rooms are booked in each batch, which can accommodate about ninety representatives.

There are 37 bases in the first batch alone, not to mention the many other small and medium-sized bases participating. So those who can register early should do so as early as possible.

Li Ke intended to use the remaining four boxes of gold to upgrade herself. In addition to these four boxes of gold, she also handed over an envelope containing photos of a batch of supplies.

As long as the registration office verifies that the photos are authentic, these supplies can be included in the registration list. Of course, you can also fake them, but if the remaining payment cannot be received, all previous efforts will be in vain, so usually no one would joke about these things.

Song Xian and Qiu Feng's registration process went very quickly. Following Li Ke's advice, they each registered for two rooms and learned from the registrar that there weren't many rooms left.

It took some time for Li Ke's photo to be submitted for verification. After the upgrade was successful, the registrar asked Li Ke if she wanted to upgrade her room.

Li Ke inquired about how many companies hadn't arrived at the Toujia base yet. The registrar glanced at the registration form and replied, "Nine companies haven't arrived yet. Originally, there were thirty-seven companies at the Toujia base, but with your addition, the number has been changed to thirty-eight."

Li Ke nodded and asked the other party to upgrade her room.

When Li Ke walked out of the conference building with the new room number, Mo Bao'er and Mo Cheng were already waiting outside. Li Jiahe and Song Zhize were also standing next to them. It seemed that these young people had become much closer recently.

“A lot of people have come this past month, and I was worried you wouldn’t make it. Luckily, you came back in time,” Mo Bao’er said with relief.

However, Li Jiahe and Song Zhize both froze for a moment when they saw the red doorplate in Li Ke's hand, but they quickly concealed their gazes.

They all secretly made a mental note of Li Ke, and they were determined to inform their elders when they got back.

"Brother Li's successful upgrade is truly a cause for celebration. May I ask which base you're from? If we develop together in the future, we can take care of each other," Song Zhize asked politely.

Li Ke, still wearing a mask, nodded slightly at Song Zhize upon hearing his words: "We are all unknowns. If we can truly develop together in the future, we should naturally take care of each other."

Li Jiahe asked with a smile, "I wonder where Brother Li is from? We share the same surname, maybe we're even family."

Li Ke casually gave the name of a small town: "My family is small, and I'm the only one left. It's an honor to share the same surname as Miss Li."

The group walked and talked as they headed towards the dormitory building. After finishing their meal, they finally parted ways. Mo Bao'er and Mo Cheng followed Li Ke up to the fifth floor.

Many people greeted the Mo siblings on the way, but Li Ke just stood quietly to the side and waited, rarely saying a word.

She originally had no background, and Li Ke didn't want to associate with these shrewd business leaders. With the Mo siblings around, it wouldn't be difficult for her to find out anything she wanted.

"I really hope the bidding starts soon. It's so boring here, and dealing with those people is exhausting," Mo Bao'er complained as soon as she sat down.

It's no wonder she's been getting more stares lately. These families' intentions are crystal clear; marriage alliances have always been a classic way to cooperate.

There were quite a few younger people participating as representatives this time, so there was competition between the males and females everywhere.

Mo Cheng understood his sister's feelings. Even he, as a man, found it hard to bear, let alone a girl who was constantly being stared at. Fortunately, these people were all of high status, and their gazes were not offensive.

“I heard from my great-uncle that the first-level bidding will begin in five days, regardless of whether everyone has arrived or not. It won’t be long,” Mo Cheng said.

Mo Bao'er scoffed: "That sounds nice, but five days is enough time for those who haven't come yet to get here. This time is just to appease those who are getting impatient while waiting. The temperature has dropped a lot recently, and it will take a month or two to complete all five levels of bidding. By the time we get the land, there might be a heavy snow that blocks the roads, and we won't know how we'll get back."

Mo Cheng smiled and said, "That's the situation, but once the most crucial first-level bidding is over, the rest will be much faster. I think they'll handle things here according to the situation, and they won't really trap people here."

Li Ke shared the same view. The places currently being bid on are all barren. Once everyone acquires the land, they will definitely return to their own bases to discuss construction and allocation. They shouldn't be stuck here.
