This is an independent female protagonist story. It involves rebirth, spatial abilities, hoarding supplies, post-apocalyptic survival, and occasional team-ups.
Disasters include earthquakes, ...
Then two more giant fish monsters appeared, and the water only gradually returned to calm after they had eaten all the people in the water.
"Captain, are we just going to wait here? They won't throw us down too, will they?" one of the team members asked in a low voice.
Yan Bo's face was pale. He rubbed his temples before saying, "No, they just want to test our patience. We're good stuff in their eyes, and they won't let us be wasted like this."
Another knocking sound rang out, and everyone listened silently. After a while, Yan Bo explained to Li Ke, "My teammates said that those people who were thrown down were people whose life force was about to die. There must be human body sensing devices installed in the water prison. People who are about to die are thrown down to feed the mutated water monsters. He can't hold on for much longer either."
Li Ke asked softly, "Why is it so quiet here? Why is no one talking?"
Yan Bo seemed to have just thought of this problem upon hearing this. He knocked five times lightly, then knocked three more times. After a while, a response came, but the sound seemed much weaker than before.
"The people here will try to frame each other to gain merit, so it's best not to say anything that might expose your identity," Yan Bo replied to Li Ke.
Li Ke's eyes were still scanning the surroundings, but she didn't find any surveillance equipment. She asked, "Is there no way to save them?"
Yan Bo's eyes showed pain. He paused for a moment before saying, "We can't save them. It might expose our other hidden teammates."
Li Ke could only remain silent upon hearing this. Her personal space could not be exposed, and she couldn't think of any good way to save the person she wanted to save without making a sound.
No one spoke. After a while, Li Ke couldn't help but ask again, "Are we just going to wait here like this? If we really lose all our strength, then we can only let them do whatever they want. Maybe we'll end up being eaten by monsters? Or something even more painful."
Upon hearing Li Ke's words, the other four looked up at her, then lowered their heads again. Li Ke discerned a different meaning in their eyes.
"What do you mean by this? You have no intention of living?" Li Ke asked, squinting.
Yan Bo sighed: "Since we've accepted the mission, we have to carry it out no matter what. This time, you've just been dragged into it innocently. I'm sorry."
Li Ke snorted after hearing this. She wanted to come in herself, but the way the other party always excluded her made her a little unhappy.
She stopped talking and began to observe the electronic lock on the cage. It wasn't too difficult to open; once she was out of the cage, she could climb over it and get closer to the exit.
However, it's uncertain whether the robbers have set up any traps, so it's still quite risky.
After sitting for a while, Li Ke started banging on the cage to call for people. When Yan Bo saw her doing this, he quickly asked, "What are you calling for? Commander Li, you can't do something stupid!"
Li Ke rolled her eyes at him: "Don't worry, I won't betray you. But didn't the robbers know your identities? I'm different from you. I don't want to stay here, hungry and scared. I'm going to surrender and ask them to let me out. If they're going to sell me, they might as well do it sooner."
After saying that, Li Ke raised her voice again: "Is anyone there? If you hear me, come in and let me out. I will cooperate and obey. I don't want to stay here anymore."
Li Ke called out four or five times but no one responded, so she had no choice but to give up and lean back into the cage, which swayed with her movements.
Yan Bo said to her, "Wait a little longer. You really don't know anything. If you can survive, then please do whatever it takes to survive. No matter what you do, it won't be wrong."
Li Ke ignored him, pulled out a biscuit from her clothes and ate it; it was a very filling compressed biscuit.
When Yan Bo saw that she could take out food, his eyes widened in surprise: "You, you... do you have extra?"
Li Ke slowly swallowed the food in her mouth; it was dry and really unpalatable. "Yes, there's plenty more. Do you want some?"
The four in the same cage nodded in unison. Li Ke originally wanted to tease them a bit more, but then thought it was pointless, so he took out four more cookies for them.
Yan Bo and the others watched as Li Ke took the food out of his waist, and they were all curious about how Li Ke had hidden these things.
The clothes the robbers made them change into were thin and somewhat see-through; their underwear was so transparent that it was easy to see through them, making it even harder to hide anything on their bodies.
Seeing their curious looks, Li Ke casually explained, "I have flesh-colored simulated rubber wrapped around my waist, which can be used to hide things."
Yan Bo's eyes were filled with admiration as he asked in a low voice, "Is there any left? If so, could you share some with the brothers in the other cages?"
Just as Li Ke was about to answer him, a noise came from the main gate. Everyone immediately fell silent. A moment later, the main gate on the right was opened. It was not the gate they had come through.
The leader was a woman who covered one eye with a black eye patch and wore a very figure-hugging red ao dai.
Four burly men followed behind the woman, making her figure appear even more petite and delicate.
Her goal was clear; she turned her gaze directly to the cage where Li Ke was: "Did you want to get out?"
The woman spoke Mandarin with a local accent, and although her pronunciation was a little off, her voice was gentle and quite pleasant to listen to.
Li Ke, clinging to the cage, replied, "It's me, I'll behave, let me out. And the others, they'll behave too."
The woman smiled at Li Ke. Although she was only one eye, she was still very beautiful. She said simply, "You can, but they can't."
Li Ke obediently replied, "Then we won't let them go."
