This is an independent female protagonist story. It involves rebirth, spatial abilities, hoarding supplies, post-apocalyptic survival, and occasional team-ups.
Disasters include earthquakes, ...
The cruise ship carrying Li Ke only stopped when the vast icebergs appeared in the distance. The distance was actually quite far, but the ship could no longer move because the ice was too thick.
After contacting the Med family, Xia Ji arranged for people to pack their things and prepare to disembark. It was under these circumstances that Li Ke finally met the Zheng family, the owner of the cruise ship they were protecting on this trip.
There were three men and two women. One middle-aged couple was their child, the other two younger men and women were their child, and the last middle-aged man was their housekeeper.
Behind them followed six servants and five bodyguards, all of whom were their own people.
Looking at them, Li Ke realized they did indeed seem like pampered people, which was quite different from what she had imagined.
She confirmed with Xia Ji, "They really are the royal family of this small country, and we really must protect them?"
Xia Ji replied with absolute certainty, "Of course it's true, and we must ensure their safety. This is something we promised them long ago, and we must keep our promise."
Li Ke watched them get into one of the only two SUVs and said coldly, "It's none of my business." She had no intention of serving those people; they were too arrogant, and Li Ke didn't like it.
Xia Ji smiled and said, "Don't worry, they have their own people. We just need to ensure their safety and send them back safely in the end."
Li Ke: "What if... what if something goes wrong during the mission and they die?"
Xia Ji's expression remained unchanged: "That doesn't matter. The solar energy mine is the most important. If they really can't protect it, they can just compensate with some things."
Li Ke: Sure enough, there's a solution to everything.
Li Ke followed Xia Ji to a car behind them. When they reached the car door, Xia Ji smiled and asked, "Is there anything else?"
Li Ke felt uneasy: "What do you mean? I just came here to catch a ride."
Xia Ji said apologetically, "The master's maid will also be riding in this car, so I'm sorry to trouble you to walk with the group first. If a car comes to pick us up later, you might be able to ride in it."
Li Ke hesitated for a moment, then said, "Alright, considering your age, I'll let you have your way."
Xia Ji watched Li Ke turn and walk towards his female teammates, and his smile faded: "What do you mean by 'old age'? He's still several years away from forty!"
Li Ke walked with Xia Qing and the others. Xia Qing and Meng Yu remained silent. Cao Xuan, who was a bit afraid of the cold, kept his mouth shut and didn't want to say a word as he faced the wind.
Chen Nanxing, being younger, was quite lively: "Looking at this place, I thought I was in Antarctica."
Li Ke had inquired about the location from Xia Ji, and upon hearing this, he said, "It's not much different from Antarctica; this place isn't very far from Antarctica."
Looking out at the distant icebergs, there was no sign of human habitation. Li Ke was really unsure if anyone would come to pick them up.
After walking for nearly two hours and breaking out in a light sweat, cars finally started approaching from a distance. Li Ke looked through his binoculars and saw three vehicles: two SUVs and one large truck.
There are a hundred guards in total. If they are divided among themselves, they should be able to squeeze in. If there is no wind, they can keep walking like this without too much discomfort.
But the cold wind was like a knife, carrying snow particles, making the journey extremely painful.
