Chapter 359 Bloodshed

Li Ke's questioning process was the same as the last time in the interrogation room: simple, direct, and efficient. The results were just as good; the spineless ones confessed quickly, while the tough ones were entertained by Li Ke for a little longer. In short, he wouldn't let them off easy.

Finally, it was Chen Nanxing's turn. By this time, Li Ke's eyes had lost all warmth, and his body was covered in blood. He looked like a heartless killing machine.

Chen Nanxing took a step back. She could sense that Li Ke would not treat her any differently. If she made a wrong move, her fate would be just as miserable as those people around her who were barely clinging to life.

"I can help you rescue Xiao Yi and the others. I can tell you everything I know. I am willing to submit to you, obey you, and do anything for you."

Li Ke's steps forward felt like they were pounding on Chen Nanxing's heart, making it hard for her to breathe. In the end, she finally managed to express her own wishes.

She was not even thirty years old. All the people in this world who were truly good to her were dead. There was no one and nothing worth dying for. She had to live. She wanted to see what the new world was like. She didn't want to end her life at all.

Li Ke squatted down in front of Chen Nanxing, expressionlessly raising his right hand, where he still held the paper-thin dagger that had caused so much pain to many.

Under Chen Nanxing's terrified gaze, Li Ke knocked her unconscious with the hilt of his knife. The information those people had just given was not much; the most useful information Li Ke had gotten was the exact location of the mine.

This location is different from the one she asked about in the conference room last time. Li Ke just asked them, and they didn't know about that place. When they were on missions, they were only responsible for their own tasks and wouldn't be told much about other things.

After dealing with those who weren't quite dead, Li Ke got up and went to the power supply room to search for the solar energy mine she had sensed.

The one I saw at the Tianxing Paradise venue was already quite small, but this one here, placed in a black crystal, appears even smaller than that one.

Li Ke had already inquired and learned that this solar energy mineral was too small, so it was placed on this submarine to observe its lifespan. So far, it has been in this power supply room for more than three months.

Li Ke ripped the wires connected to the crystal, plunging the entire cabin into darkness. Only a faint glimmer of emergency lighting from outside penetrated the cabin, which was sufficient for Li Ke.

She took out a thick black cloth and covered the black crystal. Just as the cloth was about to be destroyed, she quickly and forcefully stored the light energy ore into her space.

With Li Ke's current abilities and speed, this process could be described as taking only one-hundredth of a second. Although the object successfully entered the black hole in space, a faint, almost imperceptible yellow mark appeared on the tip of her fingernail.

Li Ke stood still for a while and tried to sense it, but this time she felt nothing. She asked the spatial consciousness, and after a long while, the consciousness responded, but the response was too small and the benefit was almost negligible.

Li Ke sensed its dissatisfaction and disappointment, and without giving any response, she first went into the space to clean herself up and change her clothes before reappearing.

After reconnecting the various scattered wires, the submarine's power supply was put back into operation. Li Ke then left for the room where Xia Qing and Meng Yu were being held.

Seeing Li Ke walk in alone, Xia Qing and Meng Yu both looked surprised. Li Ke stepped forward and used a key to unlock their chains.

Xia Qing asked, puzzled, "What happened? Where are Chen Nanxing and the others?"

Meng Yu looked at Li Ke with the same questioning gaze. Li Ke told them to get up and follow her. Although Xia Qing and Meng Yu were puzzled, they still followed her out.

Upon reaching the cockpit, they found it empty. Although Xia Qing and Meng Yu still looked puzzled, they were no longer in a hurry.

Li Ke pointed to the canned food and water next to him: "Eat the food, fill your stomach so you can work better."

Xia Qing stared at Li Ke silently for a while. Although they had been hungry for two days, their vigilance and sense of smell had not diminished.

They could still sense the coldness and bloodlust emanating from Li Ke, but trusting him, they didn't ask any more questions and started eating the food.

After they finished eating, Li Ke, who had been sitting on the side, spoke again: "I will leave in a while on the spare boat here. After we leave, you can go and rescue the others, and then go back to meet up with Xia Ji."

Xia Qing pressed further, "Where are you going? Who are you? Are you with Chen Nanxing?"

Li Ke nodded: "Yes, it's her."

Meng Yu disagreed, saying, "Chen Nanxing is too cunning and a good actor. Keke, we'll go with you."

Li Ke's gaze swept over the two of them: "You two are too stupid. You're a burden to me. What you need to do now is to be obedient and stop bothering me."

Xia Qing and Meng Yu fell silent, unsure how to respond. Li Ke had never spoken to them so bluntly before.

Without a reply, Li Ke took it as their agreement, got up and went to the cabin next door to lift the unconscious Chen Nanxing up. She then instructed Xia Qing and Meng Yu, who were following behind her, "One of you go to the storeroom and get equipment for two people and five days' worth of supplies for the deck. The other of you go and prepare the spare ship."

Xia Qing and Meng Yu had already seen the bloody and gruesome scene on the ground. Although it was extremely bloody and cruel, they had seen and participated in a lot of bloodshed over the years, so they did not have any adverse reactions. They simply understood Li Ke's feelings.
