Chapter 362 Alone

Li Ke walked towards the two men and instructed Chen Nanxing behind him, "You stay in this room and hold off the people outside. If you can do this before I get back, I'll spare your life."

Chen Nanxing's face was heavy, but she finally nodded in agreement. She had no other choice but to plead with Li Ke, "Please come back soon. I really don't want to die, and I don't want to fall into the hands of those people outside."

If those people outside notice something is wrong and break in, Chen Nanxing might not have the courage to commit suicide, but if she falls into their hands, she will definitely be in a situation worse than death.

Li Ke did not answer her, but said to the man who answered her question, "Take me to the place where the solar energy ore is located now."

The man said, "You can't take those things without the isolation device."

Li Ke sneered and retorted, "Don't you have them?"

The man hesitated for a moment, then agreed: "Then come with me."

The other man, Li Ke, knocked the other man unconscious with a single blow and left him to Chen Nanxing.

Li Ke followed closely behind the man. As they exited the door, a squad of twenty men was on guard. Upon seeing them, they all took a step back, guns drawn.

The man sensed Li Ke's shadow behind him and knew he had no chance of escape, nor did he have the courage to trade his own life for the other's.

He waved to the guards and said, "There's nothing wrong inside, you can step back a bit."

Although the guards looked puzzled, they still obeyed and stepped aside to make way for the two of them.

Upon arriving at the energy warehouse, the man instructed the guards at the door to open it, then led Li Ke inside, pointing to the glowing area at the very back: "That's where the solar energy ore is stored."

The door behind them closed again, and Li Ke told the man to keep walking forward. The warehouse was quite large, with many oil drums and some square burlap sacks piled up outside. After passing this area, the two of them arrived at the platform where the solar energy ore was placed.

The tabletop was a thick, massive black crystal table, upon which were placed eight black crystal boxes of varying sizes. Li Ke observed with the naked eye that these light energy minerals were not small; the smallest was about the size of her thumb, and the largest was nearly a third the size of her fist.

The man's eyes darted around, thinking that Li Ke might not use the isolation devices here, and he might be able to use this to injure Li Ke.

Inside Li Ke's chest, her spatial consciousness vibrated excitedly, urging her to quickly deliver these solar energy minerals to it. Li Ke also wanted to finish the job quickly. She took out the monitor and jammer, and after confirming that there were no surveillance cameras here, she knocked the man with a calculating look in his eyes unconscious with a single palm strike, letting him fall face down.

After collecting the light energy minerals into their space, they immediately entered the spatial black hole, and the spatial consciousness also fell silent again, no longer making any noise.

Li Ke called out to it twice, but received no response, so she ignored it and began to collect the items in the warehouse, including the black crystal tabletop on the ground, which she also put into her space.

This is Li Ke's habit. Regardless of whether it is useful to her or not, as long as it is a warehouse that she wants to take over, unless there is another arrangement, she will take it all away cleanly, leaving nothing behind.

Looking at the man lying on the ground, Li Ke considered for a moment, then tied him up, covered his head, and threw him into her spatial storage. There were still some questions she hadn't asked him; she couldn't kill them all.

When the door opened, the guards at the door saw Li Ke come out alone and were peeking behind her when she knocked them unconscious with a single punch.

Whether they were too confident in their territory or found it troublesome, there didn't seem to be any surveillance cameras installed in this base, which made it easier for Li Ke to operate.

Li Ke carried the two unconscious guards into the storeroom. He first took off one of their coats and put it on him, then slapped each of them. The one who woke up first was kept by Li Ke for questioning, while the one who was a little later had his neck broken and was sent away by Li Ke.

Li Ke asked the man if he knew where the mine was.

The man was still somewhat out of it, and nodded blankly upon hearing this. Li Ke picked him up and asked him to take her there.

She happened to be changing into someone else's clothes, so there was no need for any further trouble. After the guard stood up, he saw the empty storeroom and his eyes widened in surprise.

Li Ke didn't give him time to think. He pushed him out the door again, the gun pointed at his waist. He could only watch as the other party locked the warehouse door and then obeyed the other party's orders to walk towards the mine.

After descending two more floors, Li Ke felt she was at the very bottom of the base. Passing by a place filled with the smell of cooking fires, Li Ke stopped and asked what this place was.

The guard said it was a place for the miners to cook, but Li Ke saw piles of green aquatic plants on the ground outside and asked, "You feed them these things?"

The guard nodded: "Chop these up, add some mixed grain powder or chaff and that will be enough for them to eat."

Li Ke wanted to say that these things were poisonous, but considering what these people had done, she knew that they didn't care whether they were poisonous or not. As long as they didn't kill people immediately, that was enough for them.

After Li Ke learned that the cooks inside were also captured slaves, he pushed the guards toward the iron shed where the cooking was being done. There were five guards sitting scattered inside, and when they saw someone come in, two or three of them stood up.

There were more than twenty people cooking, mostly women. When they saw someone come in, they didn't dare to stop and look over. Li Ke asked the guards to call the five people over.

The people in front of him obeyed his orders. After he shouted, all five of them came over. The guards on this level of the mine were dressed much dirtier than those on the upper level.
